A few members have been asking about what the fuss is with CCMs (center channel mixes), so I'm going to download here the CCM albums that I have on my computer:

Stevie's Soundstage Sessions

Rumours and Live in Boston have been done in CCM too, but I don't have them on my computer right now. Maybe someone else out there has those!

As I've said on other threads, CCM is a really unique way of listening to an album. It basically just emphasizes different instruments/vocals. Each song has a different emphasis, so on some all you'll hear is instruments and others you'll just hear vocals and some drumming (kind of acapella-esque).

Very interesting. Now I don't feel so bad about my own singing, because once you strip away all that layering, echoing, and instrumentation their voices are just as horrid and flat as mine! :laugh::laugh::laugh:

These are so interesting--each one is a bit of a surprise. It's fascinating to hear the songs as never before...I especially like those tracks with bass emphasis. Thanks again for posting!

The Rumours CCM's are glorious, but I laughed my ass off at the thought of Stevie's Soundstage performance being unmasked like that. :laugh:

"Landslide" is almost completely acapella - beautiful!! And "Sara" and "How Still My Love" are awesome, too! Enjoy!

Naw. I thought most of Soundstage was flat as hell and her voice sounded robotic throughout most of it. They edited it so heavily! Landslide was the only halfway normal sounding song.

Welcome! It's rare that I'm able to offer something that the rest of you guys don't already have, so it's my honor!

Now the only thing you CCM-newbies are missing is the Live in Boston CCM.

Just curious -- is "I Don't Want to Know" not included? Also, "GYOW" isn't working for me. Anybody else?

This CCM is on my iPod, but was accidentally deleted off my computer awhile back so it's good to have it back. Thank you!

My God! Thank you SO much! A simple question about CCMs and I end up with all this stuff! This must have been so much work and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say how greatful we all are.

I wish I knew how to use mediafire etc so I might be able to return the favour! I'm going to investigate it...

Hey, Kudos to Christine that her voice in its nakedness sounds VERY good. Some critics said her voice wasn't very strong, but there's a difference between volume and tuneful--as these "The Dance" ccms reveal.

No, I didn't realize IDWTK wasn't in there until you mentioned it! Now I want it. :(

I guess whoever you got the Rumours CCM from really didn't like IDWTK and just put in Silver Springs like the way it should have been done to begin with! :laugh:

These things are really good, its like listening to the whole album a completely different way, did you do all the work yourself getting these done? or how does this go down

In a lot of those songs the guitar is taken out, do you have any where the drums aren't audible? this would help me out immensely with drum covers and such.
