Tusk tour A+ show!
This is a great Tusk tour to get your hands on!!
This one sounds better than the Japan one - some really great vocals and an awesome setlist. The files are in WAV format, so if that's going to freak people out then I convert them to MP3 for you -- you'll just have to give me some time. Here's my folder on Mediafire that contains the entire concert: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=6...21d66e282a0ee8 Info: November 6, 1979 - The Checkerdome - St. Louis, MO - Soundboard A+ Setlist: 1. Say You Love Me 2. The Chain 3. Dreams 4. Not That Funny 5. Rhiannon (cut out) 6. Over and Over 7. Oh Well 8. Sara 9. What Makes You Think You're the One 10. Oh Daddy 11. Save Me a Place 12. Landslide 13. Tusk 14. Angel 15. You Make Loving Fun 16. I'm So Afraid 17. World Turning 18. Go Your Own Way 19. Sisters of the Moon 20. Blue Letter 21. Songbird Let me know if anyone has any problems downloading. Enjoy! |
I'm downloading this now. Many thanks for taking the time to upload this huge file. Why do they always have to cut Rhiannon? Why couldn't they have cut Not That funny instead?

I don't know why the information has "Cut Out" next to Rhiannon (that's what it said whenever I got my hands on it), but Rhiannon IS included. And it's 7 minutes long. It's the whole song. So I'm not sure what that means... but it's there!! And it's a total kickass one! EDIT: I just listened to it and I guess it kind of fades away at the end - but I think it's pretty much over anyways. And at the very beginning of the next song, Stevie says, "Your dreams are your own. Thank you." So it might have cut a little bit, but nothing too bad! |

Oh that is such a relief. Usually when it's listed as cut out, it means we don't get the best part of the song: the ending! It's still downloading. After I listen I'll comment. Thank you, thank you again.:xoxo: |
This is my favourite show of all time.
|
This soundboard, which surfaced around nine years ago in a two-CD-R set from the "informal retailer" from Yonkers, was the first time we got to hear the uncut actual vocal of Sara from that gig -- which made some of us wonder all the more just what the vocal on Fleetwood Mac Live actually is.
Oh Well elicited no such confusion. |
Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!
|
I'd just like to say that I love listening to "Say You Love Me" from this show - why, you ask?
Because Lindsey starts laughing toward the end while trying to sing! Ridiculous observation, I know. But I do like to point these things out. |
I believe this show was on dimeadozen awhile ago, and it is a good show (Would have been great minus the fades between tracks).
Thanks for sharing! |

Thanks for this show! However, I'm having a hard time transfering the file "I'm So Afraid" to a disc. It seemingly downloads properly, but when it comes to burning it on a disc, it won't go. Has anyone else had this problem? |

>Edit: Maybe that's a stupid question - I just listened to the St Louis version. It very closely tracks the Live record version, but the vocals we're obviously re-recorded in post. Although interestingly, the guitar part is different as well. |
Thank you so much! This is awesome!
|
Thank you very much for sharing. This is the only version of Angel that comes close to the Tust Documentary version. And the quality is so good! They seemed to do it a lot slower in other shows but I think it really benefits from this faster arrangement.

Great stuff! A hearfelt thanks to you for sharing.

Here's another guess: That vocal isn't a studio vocal but a live vocal from a different show on the tour -- plastered atop the band's instrumental performance from St. Louis in November. I can't pinpoint just why I think it's a live vocal, other than to say that it has a balls-to-the-wall immediacy to it that seems more as if it was sung to an audience instead of a couple of guys behind a glass booth. I don't notice the difference in guitar licks. Another sweet little addition to the FM Live album is the Buckingham & Nicks backup vocal line "let me down again" on "Over & Over." I wish Ken Caillat would write his book about FM Live (& take questions) instead of Rumours ... again. |
FMlex, will you please convert these files to mpg? I'd deeply appreciate it.

You're welcome, everybody!!

I would if I knew how. I only know how to convert between MP3 and WAV files. Maybe someone else could help you out? I kind of wanted the MP3s, but apparently WAVs are better because when you put them on a CD-R they don't lose quality?? Something like that. I hope someone can help you out or if someone told me how to do it I would try! |
