1st Rick Turner video...finally...
heh heh...since I dont have an amp, I've just had to plug it straight into the PC. I've got a Line 6 program called GEARBOX which lets me get some average guitar tones.
Anyway...here is it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S-50aLGuLM I'll get some more up soon... |

Nice! So how are you finding it for playability after the long wait? Has the trouble getting it tainted it in anyway?

I like slim necks more as well but if the tone makes up for it then it's worth it. It does sound great in that clip you posted.
|
wow...how cool is that! youv'e even got the LB strumming hand thingy going on!!! ( you know what I mean) saw the "tango" vid on youtube as well..gawd you'll be waking up the whole country with that one. NZ is a QUIET place remember..hahaha :D (thats why people like it....) no, actually most impressed. oh, and nice guitar btw (I've now seen 4 of them and actually touched one....and pretended to play) Where's the rest of the video, we need the 2nd half......
|

mylittled, that's a good video.
You could teach people a thing or two about lighting for videos on youtube. Good job. |

I've been trying to use GEARBOX (Line 6) to get that "right" Buckingham tone. So far I haven't gotten it quite right, it's a little too overdriven. That's what you get with generic software. But I did get the little middle solo from Go Your Own Way up...tell me if it sounds right to you guys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAmnKaOvNIg |
Brandon,
Mini GYOW solo sounds great, excellent technique too. The way you are playing it is definately the way Lindsey is playing it. Those bloody tabs for that version on the internet are definately not right. you have nailed it. I'll be playing my model one later hopefully. I'm gonna try and watch what you are doing more closley to see if i can copy it. Oh and also seriously though compare that model one tone you have got now with your "Come" solo on the epiphone (i think it was an epiphone, i cant remember. was it an actual les paul. Maybe) However your new tone is much much better. |
Got this reposted again for you guys as the file size was too large and it was jittery for people to watch:

Excellent! You need to be in an FM tribbie band.
|
Dammit, after watching all of these videos you've made me really want to get a Model 1! I was scared that the neck might be too wide for me but your tone is just so fantastic!

I can sing but I'm very self conscious about it. My voice aint what she used to be! I do have some other recordings, and I think I'm going to get a full version of GYOW up as some YouTuber has requested.
