I joined in 2001 as well. After lurking for a while..

I've only been here a few, but I love it & wouldn't trade it for the world.

Yeah I post on a GuitarZone forum and have been there since 2001 as well. Amazing. Seems like just yesterday and POOF...8 years gone by. =D

Why do you LIE?? You've been here more than "a few", David. We pretty much joined at the same time back in '96 or thereabouts...back when Marty assumed both "The Chain Gang" and that other site that was going great guns, but the owner wanted out...the OTHER Kenney/Kinney who DIDN'T run the Stevie Nicks site.

7 years is more than a few...

LMAO! That's so funny to think about. I remember the first time I got on the internet, I was about 17, and the computer was in one of my english classes. Who did I look up?? Stevie Nicks. HAHA! I didn't get internet of my own until I was 20 and pregnant. Guess it's funny to think that Sara will live her whole life with internet access.

Hell, the girls make fun of me for not having a cell phone until I was 20, too!

I didn't know how long I had been on the Ledge, so I looked it up....7 years. All I can say is "Wow!" Time flies here on the Ledge. Congrats, Brandon!

Some would say that I've been here too long already.

Congrats to all of you all for your long stints here on the Ledge. It really truly is the best board online, is it not? It's such an active and healthy board that it really does amaze me sometimes.

For you seasoned veterans, we should develop a tenure system for you guys!!!:laugh:

I was 31 when I bought my first cell-phone (I am NOT the most pro-telephone person in the world).


As for making fun of those who were not technically advance in this day & age, I am STILL laughing at what my Mom asked me back in 2004 about emails (She was considering purchasing a PC before she passed from this life) :

"When you send an email, do they charge you postage like when you mail a letter via the USPS?" :D

hey, I've been here 7 years already!!! I even remember saying , when I joined to my family "I'm on the Ledge and I don't know why!!!" Hahaha...it did eventually came to light, why I'm on here....:D

I remember not even having a computer at that point in time. I had one of those old WebTV units and that was how I was able to get my dose of the Mac. Plus, become a Ledgie! :]

I still don't have a cell phone.

Congrats to all that have been here so long......me well I joined in Jun of '05 so that makes it 5 yrs that I've been here.......if I'd only known about this all back when I started online....had no clues about it.......its been entertaining thats for sure.....all the various discussions.....Thanks everyone........:thumbsup::lol:

Sometimes (like today) I wish I didn't...

I didn't get one until 2003 (age 21). Its a colossal nuisance, of course- although I enjoy having internet access wherever I go.

I had a company provided cell phone up until 2006...so I technically didn't buy my 1st personal cell phone until '06. Even then, it was a gift. HA!

I just love this place. My posting has been erratic over the last year thanks to changing circumstances and going to college, but I miss you guys when I'm not here and I love coming back and rediscovering why I love the Mac and the Ledge.
