NY Post mention:

March 21, 2009 --

THAT on Monday the Rusty Knot the hole-in-the-wall bar on the West Side highway owned by Jay-Z, U2 manager Paul McGuinness, Ken Friedman and Taavo Somer is celebrating its first anniversary with 99-cent drinks . . . THAT "90210" stars Shannen Doherty and AnnaLynne McCord will launch the new Naturally Victo ria's Secret beauty product at the chain's outlet at The Grove in LA today . . . THAT on March 31, a lot of Stevie Nicks' devotees are expected at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square for the rock goddess' first in-store signing of her "Live in Chicago" DVD.

kathy1 03-21-2009 07:10 AM

thanks for letting us know.

T-bone 03-21-2009 07:49 AM

I am SO there.

TrueFaith77 03-21-2009 08:44 AM

After my Mick signing experience , I'll probably skip this. But look forward to stories from anybody who does get to go.

MacMan 03-21-2009 09:00 AM

Holy cow! This is really something... Has she ever done ANYTHING like this? This will be massive!

wheart 03-21-2009 09:04 AM

Well I guess I'm hoping on a bus to NYC on the 31st!!! Seriously, this is very cool. :blob1: This totally made my day!!

SandyMac 03-21-2009 09:12 AM

Wow, this is totally unexpected. I really hope B&N really know what they are getting themselves into with this. Security and crowd control are gonna be a nightmare.

Damn, I really wish I could be there. The line is gonna be long on this one though, but still would be cool to experience, even if it is for a brief moment for a quick hello and signature.

Have I said this is totally unexpected? But very well appreciated that she is doing this. Wow.

I hope someone is lucky enough to snap a few pics, even if it is with a cell phone to post here.

This is sooo awesome!!!!! My sis lives like a block and a half from there... If I can't make it..I'm sending her .. I called BnN and she's only signing 1 or 2 items each and its only the Soundstage item...

desertangel 03-21-2009 10:19 AM

How Cool Is That?! I'm sooo jea-lous of you NYC people! Plz... piccies (of Stevie ANd the mob) and lots of journalistic reports!

Srsly, is this a first for Stevie? seems like it might be... I LOVE it!

kak125 03-21-2009 10:23 AM

aww man the first time Stevie is going to sign something and i cant be there. son of a bi*tch!! if i wasnt starting a new job on that wednesday i would totally drive there just to get her autograph. that is so awesome though.

T-bone 03-21-2009 10:25 AM

I will be there right after work. I'm glad it's at 7pm and not noon like Mick's. I had to skip out for a long longer than my lunch break!

nailatixela 03-21-2009 10:40 AM

Wow this is sooo cool! I'll be there. :D

Enchanted_Stevi 03-21-2009 11:27 AM

HejiraNYC 03-21-2009 11:31 AM

Yea, that would be cool if she could sign that, but hopefully the B&N people don't consider that "memoribilia".

I will cut the b***h who denies me my signed litho!  It is, however, technically Soundstage-related memorabilia, so ...

Seriously though... this is going to be a mob scene of epic proportions. It's even going to put the reunited Golden Girls DVD signing to shame. I wouldn't be surprised if they use Union Square park as a herding pen to keep out the thousands that show up...

kak125 03-21-2009 11:43 AM

i am so jealous of you guys, see this is why i need to move to new york.
so do you think you will be able to ask her any questions? it would be cool if you could talk to her for a minute and then get a picture or something.

GavinBrown 03-21-2009 12:09 PM

I AM SOOOOO THERE! OMG DREAM COME TRUE! I hope i can get a pic as well!

1sttimelongtime 03-21-2009 12:30 PM

YIPPPEEEEE :blob2: I will be there!!

They dont ever televise these things, do they? I know when Howard Stern did a book signing it was all over the news, but I've never seen any since, not that I have paid attention. All I need is for my boss or one of my asshole coworkers to be watching tv and to spot my fat ass on line when I claim to be home sick!

Oh, you will turn to mush when you get there, mumbling something about wanting a Bella Donna remaster.

Mick must have told her about these things and she decided she wanted to do it too. When she said she is proud of this CD/DVD she really means it, to do this.

This means she's got to do it in California too. I'm not going to go, because I just have no patience for lines or militaristic book store personnel. But it is very exciting.

you know if she did like a 10 date signing tour for this dvd/cd she would sell a ton of copies. there are so many people that i know that would love to meet her and would buy anything just to do it. i just wish there was a way to go to ny to get her autograph. my mother in law would absolutely love that. it would be a great birthday gift for her. i am sure if i met her i probably wouldnt be able to speak. i would look like such an ass. my hubby drags me to all kinds of sports signings and i never have anything to say to those people. i always feel stupid, ha!
we were at heinz field the one day for a rocky blier signing and we waited for a few hours to meet him and just as it was our turn the lady that was organizing the signing told us that he had to go and that there would be no more singings. my hubby was so pissed that he told her he didnt care and that he waited for hours to get rocky's signature and he was going to get it. so he pretty much pushed her out of the way and went right up to him. he was more than happy to sign his stuff and after we left i saw others did the same thing. i understand people have schedules but there wasnt that many people left in the line and that lady didnt have to be so rude.

LikeAWillow 03-21-2009 01:10 PM

OH. MY. GOD.

I'm there.

The end.

If you say it like that she'll probably have one of her henchmen drag you to the back room...

SandyMac 03-21-2009 01:30 PM

Seriously. Someone needs to slip a note to Stevie just saying.

"Your entire fan base would faint and be so happy if Fleetwood Mac performed
Sisters of the Moon" during the Unleashed Tour".

Anyone wonder why FM has not been booked on any shows like Letterman yet or Today Show? They are in the NYC/Jersey area, why not?

Good question. They had some sort of deal with NBC the last time around, right? They did Dateline and had the song on Friends and something else (Third World?). Maybe that's what got them on Leno for 2 nights.

But why can't they do Letterman anymore? I thought he liked them once upon a time! Michele

GavinBrown 03-21-2009 02:10 PM

why dont we all just makeup our own tshirts.....and they all say in unison....
"all i want is to see SOTM live...before i die"?

MacMan 03-21-2009 02:15 PM

If anyone is feeling intimidated by bring up the SOTM subject with her - or if there's no time.... Why not write something, stick it in an envelope and just leave it for her at the table... She'll likely get a kick out of reading some of the pleading within...

Note to Karen: Get yourself some sort of suggestion box for people to drop in their envelopes.

ILoveFM 03-21-2009 03:33 PM

This is so awesome! I hope she goes all over the country to do this. I would love to meet her! OMGOMG!

DameLindsey 03-21-2009 03:49 PM

I've never posted before this brought me out! This is so exciting! I live in NYC so this is incredibly exciting. I have to say, though, after having stood in line for several other artists at this partiular store....this is gonna be crazy. Am I right to say that getting in line 12 to 14 hours beforehand would be a good idea??

Better yet, why not just sort of quietly hum or sing the opening verse while Stevie is signing your DVD?

And then sigh deeply, look upward at nothing in particular, & mumble, as if to yourself: "Ahhh...to hear Sisters of the Moon again one day."

Then snap back to the moment, as if you were done daydreaming.

She'll get it.

Haha...that's brilliant! Too bad the majority of the people in line will probably be like "I'm so glad you guys are sticking to the hits on this tour!"

Who else have you seen here, and how long did they stay? How long did you wait in line before? Please tell us some info so we can be prepared. :D
