Absolutely amazing show. Wouldn't be surprised if that was the best one yet. Lindsey went absolutely NUTS, so much excitement and crowd involvement. Mick Fleetwood was his crazy self, pumping up the crowd. Stevie was GREAT from start to finish, do not worry. She is still her old self, dancing around with the classic outfits, etc.

Landslide, Storms, Silver Springs, Gypsy... all magically performed by Stevie.

What an incredible show. Something that I don't hear much about is how awseome they are musically (instrumentally) this tour. The more stripped down band sounds so much better. And it seems like Neale is only there because Lindsey needs on certain songs to have his hands free to make hand motions and gesture

I can't believe that Lindsey gets better every freaking time I see him. His energy level goes up each time. He is so amazing. He puts so much feeling into every song.

Lindsey stole this show so badly its not even funny, it was way more lopsided then the SYW tour even BUT as Stevie sings in Angel "When she was good she was REALLY REALLY Good"

Monday Morning was an awseome opener. Stevie was the most lively on the this song of all of Lindsey's songs.

Its amazing and weird just how different The Chain was for me just having be a spot lower in the set. Its hard to explain but just somethign about hearing Mick's drumbeat after just having already heard a whole song. This was the best sounding "Chain Keep Us Together" ever. I guess Lori really made the difference there!

Dreams, Gypsy and Sara were all deadweight for me.

Rhiannon I was expecting to be deadweight as well but from the opening chords on this song was great for me. The ending was the best I've seen in this modern Rhiannon era. She was doing all kinds of different things with her voice

Go Insane was as great as I remembered but I liked it better when Brett would play keyboards in one had and guitar in the other for the solo tour.

Big Love/Landslide/NGBA I really want to hate these never moving acoustic mountains but they're so danmed good every single time. Again Stevie is singing her old songs in such a new and refresing way.

STORMS I really made the right decision to not watch any videos of this. I had no idea what to expect and was blown the **** away. This performance is worth the 150 dollars. I was excited to be able to hear Beautiful Child on the SYW tour but it just wasn't as good as her perfromance of Storms.

Say You Love Me They should've done a CM medley of Oh Daddy/YMLF and did just the chorus of SYLM twice followed by Falling Falling Falling. Because those parts were amazing but not their takes on the verses.

Gold Dust Woman She sings "You Better Put Your Kingdom up for sale" like she never has before. I heard a recent review hear saying this was the least animated GDW and was too short. I severly disagree. It doesn't need to be 9 minutes long to work, this version was mezmerizing.

OH WELL HOLY **** I've always loved this song and its always rocked but this tour it rocks on a whole other level. Best song of the night.

ISA The Perfect Storm, Lindsey's great solo arrangement was missing really kickass drumming and bass and now they've met.

Stand Back The SYW tour versions can never be touched but this was great especiall right after she gets back from her twirls she sings that first line and it sent a chill.

Go Your Own Way Same as ISA Stevie also showed some real life on a Lindsey song again!

Loved seeing Micks first actual "Drum Solo" and Don't Stop kicked ass

I've seen Silver Springs on YouTube so it wasn't a suprise how good it was but seeing it in person was even better. I stand by my it's better then the dance version comment. Best song of the night (I Might've said that already)

I have to say this tour sounds like it's getting better as it goes along. The fact that it's a little more stripped down also appeals to me a lot.

That's pretty funny, as are Lindsey's gestures. I would say they are integral. I noticed he pretended to smell his underarm and made a face, during Oh Well the other night. I think part of the reason Neale, Brett, Lori, Sharon and Jana are all there is as a thank you for their loyalty on the solo tours. If it weren't for that graditude, I think the show would be without a couple of them.

I think the ending of GDW is missing something, but I also agree that it still packs a lot. Plus, there's a part where Stevie turns and locks eyes with John that I really like. Also, the interaction between Lindsey and Stevie was becoming more spirited on that song, almost reminding me of The Dance when he would pound the stage with his foot, for the "did she make you cry, make you break down" part. He wasn't pounding the stage yet the last time I saw him, but he was getting there!

I don't like medleys because just as you are getting into a song, it's over. So, I would have been really upset if they'd done that with CM's material. But I agree with you that it's the SYLM chorus that is amazing and it transports you. Takes me back to the seventies. I get chills when they say, "and there's not another living soul around". I cry thinking about it.

Okay, first of all, apologizes for not meeting up with anyone. I have not had time to coordinate and went right to the Rochester show after work.

It was an AMAZING SHOW. As many have already noted, it was a Lindsey showpiece. He had so much energy and balls. It may have included the best performances of So Afraid and Oh Well I've heard from him to date. Stevie was occasionally beguiling but mostly she seemed sapped of energy and a bit uncertain of herself on the stage. I know I might get boos for saying this but she has become somewhat of a campy version of an already campy act. She did, however, rise to the occasion on Storms and Stand Back.

Here's my breakdown:

Monday Morning and Second Hand News were very convincing performances.

Go Insane was so good it made me lament the fact that Mac never originally recorded it.

Never Going Back Again and Landslide were paired nicely back to back and were both strong performances.

I Know I'm not Wrong was energetic and fun--though I didn't like the "do-do-do-do-dos."

Oh Well and So Afraid were the highspots played with so much muscle I was beginning to dream of the Mac as a trio...

Stevie had some fine moments, though they were intermittent. During Storms she was at her best. Gold Dust Woman was also pretty strong (though I could have done without the dramatic dropping of her shawl from her shoulders). Stand Back was hot.

Elsewhere, Stevie seemed uncertain, maybe tired, and certainly less adventurous in terms of stage presence than I remembered. Gypsy, Sara and Dreams were pretty blah. Rhiannon seemed rushed. Silver Springs should have perhaps been played during the show instead as the encore since it seemed anti-climactic.

Interestingly enough, one of the big high spots was Lindsey and Stevie's trade off reading of Say You Love Me, which had everyone standing up and dancing. It was genuinely charming.

Don't Stop worked instrumentally, but Stevie's one verse on it was awful--not the kind of song she is meant to sing, and certainly not belt.

No mention of Chris...bad!

I loved te show overall and was so impressed with the instrumental trio.

Thanks for an excellent review, aleuzzi!

...But in general, there's something strange about the overall reviews from fans. Almost everybody mentions the greatness of lindsey and the less energetic, sometimes even flat performance by Stevie. Still they all conclude that they experienced a great or fantastic show.
Does this mean that the guys are so mesmerizingly good that it overshadows the weakness of the female ex-star? OR is she better than everyone states and is she just slightly under expectationlevel but still very good?

She is still performing the MUSIC very well, I don't know why people are complaining. She is nowhere near as energetic as Stevie and Mick, but who is? I always kind of like the dynamic between the mystical nature of Stevie's performances and the excitement brought on by Buckingham and Fleetwood.

I think the people detracting are just worn out by Stevie's hit songs to be honest. They all love the lesser played Storms and Silver Springs, and don't get me wrong, those are probably more emotional and unique performances, but the hits are still sung well and it isn't flat. The dynamics of Lindsey's guitar work in the songs which never seems to be the same twice really keeps things lively too.

In many songs, they had both Lindsey and Stevie sing verses/chorus lines, which kept it interesting.

I think people are just SO blown away by the amazing performance of Buckingham and his sheer excitement, crowd involvement, and energy that it perhaps overshadows a bit. The crowd gets so pumped up that Stevie's songs kind of mellow it back down a bit.

I personally LOVED the dynamic that that created. By the way, Tusk was probably my favorite song of the night. I don't even like the studio version that much.

I agree.

There's nothing wrong with Stevie at all. There's no weakness that I can see. She's very good. I doubt that any audience member who had never seen her before and had no expectations would come away with less than praise for her.

As far as her performance goes, I like her music. As you said, that's still there. That's what drew me into FM and the music thrives. The stuff she does that appeals to her fans: the twirls, hats, boots, tamborine and flowing garb just has always seemed silly to me. It was always gimmicky. I just think critics are much less tolerant of it after 3 decades than they used to be and Stevie is less proficient at it.

Yet, the fact that it no longer works doesn't really phase me, because I never thought it worked in the first place. I mean, I enjoyed it at her solo concerts, but in FM when the five of them were together and she was up there preening, she seemed so insubstantial and flighty in contrast to the other 4. I took her less seriously then than I do now.

So, she can't pull off the physical theatrics anymore, but I never thought they were engaging. I think I am sometimes more impressed when she does a song "straight" now and she can bring the heat and drama to it, with just her voice. I think you get to the core of the matter that way. I mean, in her solo shows, I love HSML, but it's not what she does with the scarf at the end, it's the "me that's talking to you" that echoes in my head after the show. And I guess now that she's lost so much physical stamina, I can concentrate on that more.

Of course, yes, I miss her energy. I mean people talk about the Charleston, but what amazed me on Angel was when she was not dancing. When she was just singing at the mic with Lindsey, she was jumping up and down and -- so effortlessly. I don't think she even bent her knees. She just propelled herself up and down at will. It was like she was on a spring. She was just that fired up. Well, that's gone forever and I miss that, but I find absolutely nothing deficient in her performance today and there's certainly not a lull when they're doing one of her songs, as opposed to when they're performing one of Lindsey's. Her music . . . when you hear the first opening chords of Sara and the mood they invoke. There's nothing unexciting about that.

Well, yes and yes. The core trio was so good she could have sucked all night and it would still have been an amazing show. But she didn't suck at all. She sang three or four of her songs very well. And none of her weaker performances were below an acceptable level. She just seemed a bit drained of energy, didn't move much, seemed a bit...absent--except when she was singing Stand Back, Landslide, and Storms. I also think she showed a lot of commitment on Say You Love Me, which was a bit unexpected.

But when you compare her performance with Lindsey's it's as if they were in a different universe. He was so jazzed up and stalked the stage like a raving demon. John and Mick were also hot.

Thank You... Yeah~ I'm not sure how they turned out at that angle either cause I'm pretty short.. about 5'2"!! Maybe cause I just held the camera up above the amps that lined the front of the stage...;)
