Wow, that's cool...what website has that info?

MacMan 03-04-2009 03:50 PM

I'll get you the link later... I'm at work - it's at home.

Cool love this song she has such a nuanced and sexy delivery.

I knew the version on Soundstage had been done in the studio for a single release. It sounds way to good to have been live.

Are you referring to when it aired on PBS? I'm sure for the CD release she definitely touched up parts of the song.

The cingle released is the Soundstage version which was redubbed.

GypsyVisions 03-04-2009 07:48 PM

The soundstage version was live, in front of an audience.

That is the version being released but it was not "live" it was overdubbed and majorly tweaked.

www.bellaillume.com has a rip from the DVD, but it won't be as good as the released version on the CD.

thanks
yah i meant the radio edit one
i don't really like the song
i just thought it would be good to compare them
i dont think she needs to tweak the live stuff
who cares if it doesn't sound perfect
it's not supposed to

Does anyone know where to lookup radio spins?

The best trade magazine i ever saw about radio airplay was called 'R&R'- i have a copy somewhere here but couldn't find it right away, will look more- The issue i have is maybe 3 or 4 years old, it's a large sized magazine (like Billboard, but i think it doesn't have a glossy cover) and it has the playlists and 'new adds of the week' for hundreds of radio stations in the US; various formats, from pop, country, rock, gospel- whatever. I think R&R stands for 'Radio and Records' but once i find the magazine, I will edit this message if any of the info is incorrect. My memory is really shot, but that's what i remember right now. Now, to find the dang thing...
I definitely want to find a newstand to buy a current issue to see what i can find out about how many stations are giving the new Stevie single airplay (the magazine also lists how many spins the record gets per week at stations playing it, it's kind of interesting to check out. And once and for all, I will become enlightened about whether it's "Crash Into You," "Crash Into Me"-- "Crash" is just so much easier, but i don't think that's it :)
Will pass along any info, including station names, cities, call-letters, whatever i see...

:sorry:Sorry for starting a new thread about this earlier! I'm new to the board, so I have to get used to searching previous threads. I heard Crash on XM's The Spectrum tonight. Exciting!

Radio and Records. USA Today also publishes charts based on radio spins.

It doesn't matter. Everytime Stevie releases something everyone watches the amazon scales. They mean absolutely nothing. Stevie and Lindsey both got incredible numbers for their albums on there. A week or two after it comes out, it plummets. Everytime. Not trying to be a downer, but I used to get so excited over those numbers. They mean nothing.

Yea, i guess, but it's fun to see her get into the "Top 25".

Totally agreed. Can I throw this in??? Prepare yourself: I think that Underground, from GOS should have been released to radio. If it was, it is a shame that it did NOT go further. Or Did you Miss Me... That song rocks. I have to say, it is nice to hear Stevie making a new path, but Lindsey deserved a little something for GOS- he just did.
