Toronto ticket drop

I just pulled up 14th row on TM for the Tuesday Toronto show if anybody is interested. Does anybody know why the dates arent back to back? I think its kinda strange to me. I tried pulling up tickets for the thursday show but there werent any available. It must be sold out or something.

bikerchic 03-02-2009 12:11 PM

^ ya, the 26th sold out so they added the 2nd show (the 17th) afterwards, thats why they're a few days apart.

skcin 03-02-2009 12:11 PM

^ Yeah, I just pulled those too. Not good enough for me. :D The 3/17 show replaced the cancelled albany show.

kak125 03-02-2009 12:40 PM

i gotcha. My hubby and I went to see FM in Toronto on the SYW tour but I dont remember them doing 2 shows then. Did they? I remember that show like it was yesterday though, what a blast. I forgot ear plugs and thought my ears were really bleeding during Come. Towards the end of the song I had to put my fingers in my ears and even it was still too loud, HA! Its amazing I can still hear. LOL! We went to a bar afterwards near the Air Canada Center and they were playing FM songs all night and people were singing and dancing on the bar. It was the perfect way to end that night.
I agree if I even thought about going to Toronto I would have to pull up 1st or 2nd row. The show on the 26th would be an easier one for me to get to though. Figures its already sold out.

Really? the 26th is sold out?

According to TM it is. I'm thinking they'll release more seats, but I've gotten the same "there are no tickets available" message for weeks now.

The radio stations around here are saying it's sold out  and thats why they added a second show. Why else would they had a second show here in Toronto

Yeah, but I don't think they would have added that second show had Albany not been cancelled.

Yeah, I thought that was the only logical reason they did add the second show, now the first show...because of Albany.

But that's great!! I'm surprised that more shows didn't sell out actually. Maybe not right off the hop, but over the course of a month or two.

Edgeof27 03-02-2009 06:57 PM

Come on up....

Bikerchic,

only two shows....(sorry Albany),

the Mac could probably sellout 5 shows in Toronto with no problem,

don't be surprised to see them come back,

(btw, are there any other cities doing a double header this tour),

kak125 03-02-2009 07:08 PM

oh how i want to. I guess it all depends on when I start my new job. I think it wont be for about 3 weeks or so but i have been wanting to go back to Toronto so darn bad. I love, love, love it there. The hard part will be having my hubby attend another FM show with me. He likes them but isnt real into seeing them multiple times every time they tour, HA!! I have some time to work on him though and if that doesnt work I think I am definitley going to see about getting Cleveland tickets. I really want to take my mom and have her experience FM. She has never been to a concert in her life and I just feel that she needs to see FM in person at least once. She loves them so the only issue would be me saving up the cash to buy her a ticket.

Edgeof27 03-02-2009 07:33 PM

Just Kidding, but "It's Time....."

After the reception Lindsey got in Hamilton and Toronto, he probably cried when he saw TO on the itinerary.

Yeah,

he played the Danforth Music Hall, (bummer venue / location),

no "real" advertising before the show,

it was almost as if his "promotion company" went out of their way to ensure that no one knew he was performing,

with a bit more effort on the promotion side of things,

he could have played, the Massey Hall, the Humming Bird Centre, even the ACC, but,

there was very little in the way of promotion,

Hey, you know what, Alice Cooper even played Oshawa the same night, 30 miles east, and drew a bigger crowd,

"welcome to my nightmare".

He did some promotion in Toronto - hit two radio stations, played live on both... Whether they are popular stations or have much of a reach, I don't know, I'm not in Toronto.

just keep checking the ticketmaster web-site,

you will get closer,

actually on Sunday in Detroit, there were walk-up tickets at the box-office for the Floor, Section B, Row 13, (dead-centre), ie, that's what my sister picked-up @ 17:00,

good luck,

Hawkeye 03-10-2009 08:33 PM

I've never seen so many empty seats in my life as that Lindsey concert in Hamilton. But it didn't effect his awseome performance. I almost enjoyed the emptyness. It was almost like the select few of us who showed up were getting a somewhat private concert with Mr. Buckingham.

And then again all the empty seats might've been bought and the people not in those seats just couldn't find the danmed venue!!!

I owe it all to Theresa - she's the one who kept checking until front row came up. I knew I was friends with that Canadian for a reason. :p

Well... it looks me to me like there is some kind of a mosh pit in front of the stage.

http://media.ticketmaster.com/en-us/...tor/25572s.gif

In any case, enjoy the show! The best part is that you get a big discount because you're spending that Monopoly money with the loons and Queen Elizabeth printed all over it. :p

skcin 03-11-2009 03:42 PM

^ Yeah, it is odd with that extra unmarked section. But it was the same way for the SYW tour, and Theresa's front row ticket that time WAS actually front row, so I'm pretty confident we're good.

Zombie 03-11-2009 03:52 PM

Buy One, Get One Free!

I have two tickets here in hand for the Toronto show on the 26th. They are Section 117, row 16, seats 3 & 4.

I can't go to the show, though I really want to (but I already got 3rd row for opening night, so I can't complain too much) - so if anyone wants these, I'm offering up two for the price of one at face value - $149.50.

Oy such a deal!

If anyone is interested, hit me with a private message and we'll hook it up.

Edgeof27 03-11-2009 05:22 PM

No Mosh Pit, just a 10 ft "Security No-Go Zone".....

Mosh Pit,

oh please, this is Canada you know,

no, due to hightened security, there is a 3 metre, (10 ft), Security No-Go Zone in front of the Stage,

The "would be terrorists" are held back by a 2" wide nylon extend-a-barrier, preventing unwanted sneek attacks upon the stage, &, performers,

as demonstrated during the Eagles 4th Night,

when a young nubile from the front row, defeated the ACC's finest, &, casually walked onto the stage, &, hugged/kissed Glenn Fry, :xoxo:

only to be danced off-stage by the victim himself......

so, "NO MOSHING", ok, eh........:sorry:

Dammit! I was about to snap this up until I got to the price. I made the same face as the bunny in your sig. Hmm, but if I'm splitting the cost with someone, that's not bad... Let me know if someone who isn't a cheapass like me gets to them before I do.

Haha - I am just trying to hopefully get half my money back. :distress: But I will totally let you know, or conversely, you can make me an offer I can't refuse. One of the two. ;)

PS - Every time I see the sheep in your sig, I waffle between being mildly disturbed and hoping its face is always like that so I can ask it to come live with me.
