Are You Going To See Fleetwood Mac on This Tour

So, I've asked the question about a debate that's been going on sense the announcement of this tour. Are you planning on Seeing Fleetwood Mac on this tour???

I am not 100 percent sure. I probably won't because tickets are expensive, and good enough seats aren't popping up for the Columbus date.

What about you?

mylittledemon 03-01-2009 07:34 PM

part of me wants to, and then the other 49% doesnt want to go. If timing wasnt an issue (since I'm moving in a month), it'd be money. Good seats are just too pricey.

Glittermoondust 03-01-2009 07:35 PM

Yes next Sunday!! :]

UnwindedDreams 03-01-2009 07:42 PM

Yes, I am going to see them on the Unleashed Tour.

Enchanted_Stevi 03-01-2009 07:52 PM

Yep, I'm seeing them in Boston =)

hs421139 03-01-2009 08:03 PM

In ten days baybay! Boston:]

lacesundone 03-01-2009 08:03 PM

I'll see the tour when they take new promo pictures and drop the prices.

kennation 03-01-2009 08:19 PM

So either that means you're expecting a price drop on the next leg, or you aren't going. :D

I really can't decide. Part of me really wants to just because I LOOOOVE this band, but the other part of me doesn't want to because part of me feels their egos are larger than the Empire State Building!

GRRRRRRR HARD CHOICES!!

StandbackStevie 03-01-2009 09:18 PM

Yes I am going to the Mohegan Sun Arena Casino Show in Uncasville, Connecticut I am so excited and I am so excited when there is a fleetwood mac or stevie nicks concert tour going on.:blob1::wavey::angel:

MiniLindsey 03-01-2009 09:27 PM

As of now, no. Too much money, and I'm going to another show when they're in my hometown. But we'll see where this tour goes...

The Catdancer 03-01-2009 10:54 PM

I'm not too thrilled about the setlist. IMO it's not worth 150 bucks, 50 maybe. So I'm not sure yet.

Considering their past set lists, it's an improvement. Not that that's saying much. Definitely not worth 150, though. I'd love to hear Storms and S&L's attempt at SYLM, buuuut... I think my sig says it all. :p I can catch that **** on youtube for free.

I definitely have to agree, and say that now, I'm getting excited to go and see them in Houston, on May 2nd! I didn't have my hopes up, being that this is a "greatest hits" tour, and most of the stuff we've heard to death, but I LOVE hearing "STORMS" and "OH WELL" and "Say You Love Me" - as that was a extra added suprise! IMO, I also feel ticket prices are a little too high, and not going along with the economy right now.. but still, all in all, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing them!

Hugs,

Arlene

estranged4life 03-02-2009 09:41 AM

Yes, I'm seeing 'em only one time (Unlike the past) on this current jaunt.

GODDESS6 03-02-2009 09:57 AM

GypsyGirl15 03-02-2009 09:58 AM

May 23rd, Glendale ... and if they actually decide to come to Germany or Britain I'm definitely going to see them there too.

Lindsey Jr. 03-02-2009 05:21 PM

This is so unfair :distress:

LukeA 03-02-2009 05:25 PM

If I get a comp in the first 10 rows for Oakland... maybe.

Otherwise, no.

The Toronto show is sold out, anyway. :p After seeing the videos on youtube, it's nothing I would go out of my way to get to, even if they fine-tune a few things. Not at those prices!

Hey Lisa..

I've noticed that the tickets are outrageous this year! If it weren't for a good friend of mine, on another Yahoo group, who sent out a link to several different scalpers websites, with lower ticket prices, I wouldn't be going either.. as I definitely couldn't afford to! Are you in Toronto? My bff is in Windsor, Ontario, and is holding out hopes that they add some shows there, but sheesh.. LOL

Hugs,

Arlene

Ditto on this one.. In the past, it's always been the Houston and the Dallas show, but I can barely afford Houston, and that's only thanks to a very good friend who found a ticket seller with grrrreat prices! LOL.. :p

rocknalittle 03-02-2009 05:50 PM

I couldnt not go! It would kill me! I plan on going to atleast two in my area Sacremento and San Jose!!! :]

hahahaha.... i remember that feeling... I know what you mean...

jbrownsjr 03-02-2009 06:19 PM

I only have interest in bootlegs, and remasters (1970-1974) and (1982-1995)....

I did like GOS ....

I'm like Christine, I'm retiring from FMac tours....

GypsyDreams 03-02-2009 08:06 PM

May 5th St Louis, Mo!!!!! I cannot wait!!! :]

mylittledemon 03-02-2009 09:01 PM

I must say I'm actually (at this point) I'm angered a bit my the ticket prices. $150 for "good" seats? Times are tough for a lot of people. I got three 3rd row seats for a Richard Thompson show for $120 here in Orlando on Mar 13. Sooooo...for less than the cost of one Mac ticket, me, my wife and friend are going to see a lively, fresh little show. Yeah. Drop your ticket prices Fleetwood Mac.

EveryHour 03-02-2009 09:23 PM

Yes, Tacoma/Seattle.

But the economy, high ticket price, setlist, and SH*TTY AVAILIBILITY OF GOOD SEATS FOR FANS, are resulting in me going to only one show when I would normally do more.

I would very much prefer a different setlist, but I don't HATE it. As long as they give a good performance. The other three factors weigh much heavier.

Don't tell me Tom Petty hasn't had a little conversation with Stevie about this.............

;)

jannieC 03-03-2009 06:45 AM

Yes, I'll be going to the Greensboro show. I usually get my tickets the day of the show, so we'll see where I end up.

Same here..... only the one show in NYC

JohnL 03-03-2009 08:39 AM

I will be there...

April 22nd here in Tampa. As far as ticket prices go, I am no more thrilled with them than anyone else. However, I have to say that I dont see this as a direct reflection on the band. Any big name established touring bands prices are about the same these days. I know that doesnt make it right...I guess I just accept it. I realize there are a few exceptions (Petty, etc.). I am just glad to be able to see them again and am bringing a friend who will experience FM for the first time. I am psyched!!

That being said, I think I am really starting to prefer Stevie solo versus FM. She seems much more at ease and willing to be herself when solo. I personally dont want to see the Lindsey Buckingham show. I saw that on the SYW tour and all those guitar antics are entertaining the first or second time....but get old over and over during the same show for me. Once again, my personal preference only.

I'm going to the concert tonight. I feel exactly the opposite of you, John. I would rather see Lindsey solo versus FM. I think that Lindsey pours his heart and soul into every concert that he performs. To me, Stevie seems to just be putting in her time. Maybe it's just the difference in their energy levels.

alexandmaddie 03-03-2009 09:32 AM

I'll be at tonight's concert!!

shackin'up 03-03-2009 09:32 AM

Unsure.

YES, if they come to Europe, NO if they don't.

JohnL 03-03-2009 09:41 AM

Its cool....

I can understand what you are saying. I think Stevie totally holds back with FM these days. Her solo concerts are much more inviting and energetic. The dynamic between her and Lindsey has gone full spectrum these days and now I think it is just gone. Lindsey comes across as more energetic on stage to me mostly due to his having a guitar in his hands. Stevie, because she does not play an instrument, has to rely totally on her voice and personality and, now with FM, totally tries to take a back seat.

Villavic 03-03-2009 09:53 AM

In 1997 I traveled to the US specially to see Fleetwood Mac.
I didn't do that for the SYW tour, and I wouldn't do it this time, for the same reason. It is not worth it if Christine is not there.

That doesn't mean I don't enjoy this lineup. But the effort of buying an air ticket and paying a expensive concert.. I only do that if it's the 5 members lineup.

However I'm travellig to Dallas for a work meeting, and fortunately few days before it's the Dallas concert. I'll stay at a friend's home the weekend, so I may say this less effort is worth it!! I hope I'll enjoy the show. Not a great seat but I'll bring binoculars
