Stevie and Lindsey....Unfinished Business?

Stevie says she agreed to hit the road with Lindsey and risk opening up old wounds again because she sensed a change in her old sparing partner. "He has little girls who are 8 and 4 years old, plus a wife, and he has been living in girl land since coming off the road in 2005. It's softened him up. Instead of treating me as a miserable ex-girlfriend, he's looking at me more like a beloved daughter. He's been very nice and loving to me. This is the guy that I met and fell in love with when I was 17, and I hope it stays that way. No one could come in and make peace between us. Lindsey and I had to."

Lindsey said, "We all want this to work, but there are only 45 dates scheduled. I'm sure there are people in back rooms somewhere talking about more dates in America and elsewhere in the world, but nothing is in the books, nothing has been agreed to. In this band, it's best not to plan too far in advance."

Source Chicago Tribune, by Greg Kot.

Stevie fell in love with him at the age of 17?
Lindsey looking at Stevie like a daughter?
Lindsey living in "girl land"?
Maybe Will can slap some sense back into him.

And the beat goes on...

BTFLCHLD 02-26-2009 11:34 AM

WELL...

Buckingham says if they pull off the tour without any meltdowns, there may be yet one more Fleetwood Mac studio album down the road. But he makes no promises. He has left the band in the past, and he says he will again if he feels things are growing stagnant.

Sounds like The Man is letting The Little Girl In Love know she better watch her Ps and Qs

Cool picture BTFLCHLD.

Ditto. I've never seen that one before. Kind of sums up their relationship in one shot.

njova 02-26-2009 08:44 PM

^ I also love that picture, that's from the tusk tour right? It does seem to sum up their relationship around that time.

I'd be curious to read what you mean.

And you too njova?

Lindsey Jr. 02-27-2009 10:25 AM

If they will make a new album, what I hope, it might be based again on LB's solo material.

And that pic is the purest "we were together but we f*cked it up a bit"-pic you can find. ;)

From the Tusk tour?

Erin 02-27-2009 10:27 AM

Just the usual wary ambivalence, but we still want to do music together vibe.

njova 02-27-2009 12:04 PM

From that picture I was talking about was how Stevie's got Lindsey wrapped around her little finger that's the vibe I got from it.

CADreaming 02-27-2009 06:15 PM

It's sexy, that's all I know...

NOT AT ALL. In studies of body language, they would tell you that her's is a timid and defensive stance. She has her arms crossed, and is "holding her center". Protecting her self from his judging stare and aggressive posture.
I do love it though. It is beautiful, in its own way...

ElusiveDreamer 03-01-2009 01:23 AM

S looks wistful and pulling herself on and L steps agressively forward while holding a part of himself back ... their dance.

Pulling herself on?

Yes, sort of like "on and on and on again" from Everyday lyrics, in my opinion.

GypsyDreams 03-01-2009 09:41 AM

A picture is worth a 1000 words.. but that one ... could be worth 2000.. ;)

well, um...wouldn't you be worried if lindsey was the one teaching them?

[and i meant she teaches them good girly behavior not her bad stuff :D]

RoseGarden 03-06-2009 06:10 PM

None of us REALLY know what goes on between them. Both talented and had a goal.
Probably a hot sex life , a love for each other and their careers but drugs and fame /ego/ money distorted the relationship????

I just hope Chain keeps them together for another hot cd!

Boston Herald Interview

BH: So much of your great stuff came out of the band being a mess. If you are all on great terms will it be harder to make a great album?

SN: No. Lindsey and I and our tragic, uptight way of doing things to each other is still the same in so many ways. In many, many ways, Lindsey and I are still the same people that we were when we met at 16 and 17. There’s a part of our relationship that remains unchanged. It doesn’t matter that he’s married with kids. It doesn’t matter what my life is. When we’re together we can still be incredibly teenage. And we still write about each other a lot. We’re still great sources of inspiration for each other. When we’re 90, whoever goes first, the other one will be sitting on a bed alone. We’ll never run out of stuff to write about.

Is she high?? ;) I mean, it's so hard to know what to do with comments like that, isn't it...

So, what are they doing now? Sitting on the bed together? Also, she sure thinks about people dying a lot (I just got such a kick out of the MOJO interview last tour). It's like she's looking forward to it.

"sitting" :rolleyes:

you know, when she talks about them like that
it's always about them, old age and dying...together
now, she throws in the bed reference

should we infer something from that?:thumbsup:

Good thing is that she's planning on Lindsey and herself being around at 90.

Two questions.

1. How many more tours does this leave us?

2. Since "the other one will be sitting alone" what happens to Kristen?

_______________

I've got a name for Stevie & Lindsey's tour (when they are in their 80's),

BUCKINGHAM CREAKS (get it?)

njova 03-07-2009 10:30 AM

I also wonder what she means by when their 90 whichever one goes first the other will sit alone on a bed, did she forget that Lindsey's married. I'm sure the other one will miss the one that does go first but I'm kind of confused by this statement.

Apparently, she didn't forget that's he's married - because she said it "doesn't matter".

Remember, she also said in an earlier interview that "not any woman in the world is going to be able to get in the middle of Lindsay and me"...

She is making some pretty bold statements.

ha...I love her.

kak125 03-07-2009 12:05 PM

ha ha i love what she says in that statement. you wonder if lindsey's wife ever reads that stuff. of course there isnt much she can do about it since he brings home the bacon everyday, LOL!

I doubt that SN or LB really care.

Lindsey's wife doesn't have to worry about what Stevie says. Reading the UTS album lyrics should be enough to keep her plenty busy.

"Lay your head down...no one will see"

"Cry me a river of new dreams, flow just so free"

""I''ll shepherd you"

"Long live the Queen"

And the shadow singer will stand and linger in places no one ever go."

"Magic one, all our dreams are done."

Also, all of Shut Us Down, even though Cory's words are in there too. Lindsey changed many.

No truer words have ever been spoken. It is almost like Kristen doesn't even exist.

KELLY!!! Where you been? Hope you are doing OK. Yes, UTS is one of the best LB songs about SN. ;)

Hey Pattie! I love your photos in the Rumours forum. Fab job as usual. UTS, the song, is one of the most tender, loving songs. I still adore it. Interesting that he titled the entire album Under the Skin.
