Rumours re-release boxed set will contain 4 discs!

I found some exciting news regarding the Rumours re-release boxed set from a very reliable music website, http://www.directcurrentmusic.com/. According to direct, the boxed set will have 4 discs, which means that it will contain ALOT of material! Check out the excerpt:

More than forty years after Santana nicked "Black Magic Woman" from the original, blues-directed Fleetwood Mac, Mick Fleetwood is back with a new live version of that track and many others on Blue Again, a live album he recorded and released last year in Europe with The Mick Fleetwood Band. Rick Vito, a veteran blues player and one-time member of Fleetwood Mac, fronts the band on vocals and guitar. Blue Again drops stateside March 17. Also of interest is the pending release of both the Stevie Nicks live Live In Chicago/Soundstage Sessions CD and DVD hitting March 31 as well as the expanded 4-disc box set of Rumours (to be scheduled).

YESSSS. This is a veritably piquant bit of info. Not to overreact, but my enthusiasm for buying this boxed set is already at fever pitch... 4-discs, imagine all that material... inspiring stuff. Please let the Rumours tour from Japan be included on the DVD. Thank you for posting this.

I wonder if we'll FINALLY get "The Dealer." I mean, if I recall correctly, FM did some takes of this song, yes?

As for the rest of the package, I predict:
Disc 1: the album
Disc 2: bonus tracks and outtakes
Disc 3: a live concert from that era?
Disc 4: DVD with misc. interview footage, recording footage, etc.

great to hear about the box set that its going to be more than anticipated looking forward to it.

Considering the shows prices, will this boxset cost $200??

The Nicksfix was updated today with this cryptic message:

Check back for news on the release of the new Fleetwood Mac CD/DVD. Look for a special version to be made available to the fans.

Umm...what does that mean? There are going to be two versions now, like a standard version and a collector's edition/limited edition/deluxe edition kind of thing?

So the people that will buy the non-special version are not fans...?

OH NO!!! Not again?!?!! LOL  ;) I will be buying BOTH box sets, lol. I am sure of it. I always seem to buy one thing then something better comes out a year later, and I have to have it, as well... TRUE FAN POWER, LOL!

Peestie 02-19-2009 03:23 PM

This is actually making it interesting for me. I don't need Rumours but having 3 other discs worth of material should make it worth a purchase. It's not as good as a new album but if we've not seen it before then I'll be happy with it.

Well, at least Mick on drums & Stevie on CP-30.

I have a hunch that Christine & Lindsey never actually joined the two queens in piddling with it.
