Post some artwork you've done

I am an illustrator and here is a medical illustration I did for hospital literature on osteoarthritis in the knee: (done freehand in colored pencil, rendered from a small plastic model)

The Four Stages Of Osteoarthritis In The Knee

here it is larger:

I used to draw comic books when I was a young teen. I drew this for my Dad because he loved Batman stuff.

Here is Victor Fries losing his wife in a lab accident...and later becoming Mr. Freeze...done in the kind of animated Bruce Timm style

gretchen 01-21-2009 02:16 PM

and a key from my tiny sketch pad:

i blew it up but it looks much sharper smaller.

mylittledemon 01-21-2009 02:17 PM

My wife asked me one day what I really love...and I got to thinking about it (I think she was asking what I wanted for my birthday)

I jokingly came up with this cartoon, being that I hate clowns.

BTFLCHLD 01-21-2009 02:22 PM

A few digital...

alterations (To actual photos found online) that I did back around 2001:

When I was much younger I was some called some type of art 'genius/prodigy' (Which I loathed) because I had a gift that others my age didnt have. I can draw 'til the "cows come home" but I prefer not to anymore.

I did apply some of my drawing knowledge to a Associates Degree in Applied Science for Drafting Technology.

I do graphic design when I have free time. Here's some of my work!
The first one I ever made:
Photobucket
I was inspired my the 1000th RS cover when I made it. I also "gave" it to Stevie at the Atlanta concert.

The inspiration behind this was Rumours. I called it Heaven and Hell.
Photobucket

I had this image on my dress when I went to the FM concert. It was a big hit :p

This is a poster I made with images from the Atlanta concert.

This was from high school. I did a lot of things then, but completely stopped.

Ghost_Tracker 02-27-2010 06:26 PM

Wow, you guys are SO good!

I would be an AWESOME artist if it weren't for the spatial reasoning,
hand-eye coordination, ability to "work with" colors and "artist's eye"
that are required -
other than those things, I'm Good-to-Go!!!

This is so interesting. I can't stop looking at it. Do you have anything else you'd be willing to share? :)

vermicious knid 02-28-2010 02:07 AM

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. That one is my only optical illusion. I used to wear those pants.

These are colored pencils.

I'll join the others that have already mentioned, I love this piece too...and completely fascinated by it. It's rather quite good. I like the other two you posted too, especially the Jacks. Cool.

Photobucket I took this picture with my friend andy's DSLR

That's gorgeous, Buttercookie! Fantastic shading. And nice subject choice, too :)

It's been forever since I took a proper art class, but I still like to scribble when I have time. Two recent attempts:

I was meant to be studying for maths tonight, instead I made myself a River Song TARDIS style diary.

Overall it's probably taken about 6 hours to make and over 48 hours drying time. I don't want to write in it now...

mylittledemon 05-15-2011 05:45 PM

here's a character I've been working with in Maya and making some "posters" for ;)

These are all awesome! Georgie, your drawings of Debbie look amazing. I can NOT draw to save myself. Even my stick men have broken limbs.

mezzoforte 05-15-2011 06:32 PM

I had my first class in oils this term. I'm definitely a novice, but had a blast. The first is an in-class model (are nudes okay to post? Let me know if not!), the second is a portrait of my mum I did for homework.

 Grace! Photobucket does not approve of your n00d oilz. I wanna see it though! The one of your mum is gorgeous.

You are all so talented but I particularly wanted to say that Georgie's pics of Ms. Harry are fabulous and Bee's pic of Ms. Monroe is just spot on!
