What a funny way they're going about this tour... that's so far apart from the other handful of announced dates.

GypsyGirl15 01-12-2009 03:08 PM

Why is it called "An Evening With Fleetwood Mac" as opposed to the other dates?

louielouie2000 01-12-2009 04:38 PM

Maybe the irony of 60+ year old rockers being "Unleashed" finally got to someone  . The way this whole tour is unfolding just totally makes no sense... seems so disjointed. I wonder if there's some sort of lack of continuity/unity between the band and management, promoters, etc?

I doubt it, but maybe they are doing like the eagles and touring every other month?

Haha, that's true. And "An Evening With Fleetwood Mac" sounds so much better ...

Thats what they call it every tour. I think they've been doing it since 97.

Doubt it. The plans have been in place for a while, I am sure. Maybe it has more to do with Azoff's new gig with Ticketmaster...

I think it was 1990... but it could've been 1987...

I appreciate a west coast date. Now, if they'd only shuffle a little bit further south.

Shakin The Cage was 1987.

I'm hoping this May date means we'll have some summer dates. Those would be sooooo much more doable.

This date in Sacramento I knew would be coming. Live nation is doing the tour and since they just started their own ticketing operation aside from ticketmaster last week, I knew we wouldn't be getting dates before now. I am just hoping that this is a shorter tour than the last one, and hope that after the May dates, that they do head over the pond for a few shows and get back into the studio and then maybe continue the tour next year. This seems to make more sense to me at least.

Gazz 01-12-2009 09:01 PM

Hi all, you'll be hearing a bit more from me over the next few months. I'm from Melbourne, Australia and heading to the US in May/June for the first time. I'm hoping to take in a few shows - locations depending upon the program and whether I can get a good seat! I have cousins on the west coast who are Mac fans too, so we're hoping like mad there will be shows there at that time.

This Sacramento show is a positive sign for me and might be the first I can attend. Like all of you, not knowing details of shows either side, makes it difficult to decide what to do. However, can anyone tell me how to get a presale password for Live Nation?

cheers, Gazz

Has absolutely nothing to do with when the dates are/aren't announced.
