Access Hollywood Interview

This is pretty funny. They focus on the Buckingham/Nicks cover shoot. :)

Thanks so much. I knew about it hours in advance. Got home, set tivo. Thought life was wonderful and then I realized later on that my cable box had gone off, so all I recorded was a black screen.

I thought Lindsey was a little embarrassed, or at the very least uncomfortable while Stevie went on about the Buckingham Nicks cover.

Thank you MacMan for recording and uploading this video. This interview could gone really WRONG for the interviewer really quickly, which is why I find it funny. All I had to play with was the low res version on the Access Hollywood site. Stevie looked plucked that the BN album cover was being pushed in her face by a giggling fool, who then pressed them with two follow-up questions regarding the cover shoot.

Neither one of them were "surprised" by the BN album or questions. It was probably their original copy!! LOL.

Stevie: I'm soooooo embarrassed by that cover, I mean look at it, LOOK at it. Look how thin I was, look how hot I was, look how good I looked naked. Let me keep talking about my embarrassment so that more and more people will pay attention to it.

Lindsey: I'm so bored with these interviews I could spit.

I wonder what Stevie (this self-confessed advocate of great art) thinks of Manet's Déjeuner sur l’Herbe.

Yeah, Stevie even helped the question along, finishing the interviewer's sentence. Plus, I bet it's not the first time they've done that "good thing I had long hair" bit together.

See, Steflana was only trying to flatter the poor guy by indicating that GYOW is such a great, classic song that no one in their right mind could believe that an audience wouldn't want to hear it, even if they'd never heard it before.

 These bubble captions are hilarious. They fit so well to what their expressions are. That side glance Stevie gave Lindsey is priceless.

Thank you for the laugh.

I think they rehearsed it before they went to the studio. LOL. Came off great, imo. They should do more schtick.

While somewhat entertaining, I wish Stevie and Lindsey - and the media well - would focus on something other than the past. It is constent pandering to masses about their so sordid history -- and they've been doing it for decades. It's been written and told ad-nasuem -- if the interviewers aren't familiar with their backstory, they shouldn't be interviewing them, or playing dumb.

I know I would get sick telling the same stories about my past over and over; but then again, maybe less so if I knew it generated money. The sad irony is, even if the focus was on what they are currently doing artistically, well, it's all about the past. That's all that seems to define them now (Lindsey's current solo career exluded).

Well, as they say, it's a bitch to get old. I think when you reach a certain age you are naturally going to be nostalgic. And, as you pointed out, when that nostalgia is also your income then, yeah you tend to play it up. It's all good. They are still viable artists. They are just stuck in a system.

I was watching E news last night and they showed some more clips from this interview showing Stevie talking about Lindsay Lohan saying she should stick to acting and then mentioned something about how she is not dead yet and that she doesnt want a movie made about them, HA! It sounds like the same stuff that was recently in some interview that somebody posted here. I wonder how many more news channels are going to show more clips from the same interview.

I wish there was a place where we could see the whole thing. I don't want just the bits and pieces that a local news station found interesting. Michele

kak125 12-17-2008 12:52 PM

i agree, i want the whole damm interview. I am chomping at the bit for any new FM info and getting little pieces here and there is annoying!!
