Please Come To Europe

Does anyone know yet if Fleetwood Mac are going to do Europe on this tour?

I really really hope they consider it.

If this really is a "back to the oldies" kinda tour we need to see it too.
There are so so many real fleetwood mac fans in europe that have got to see this stuff live.

Sanne2 12-04-2008 03:47 PM

I agree! But somehow I don't see it happening....:(

Edgeof27 12-04-2008 04:06 PM

Europe....maybe..

It might just happen with such an early start to the tour, the band might be able to include some Euro venues...keep your fingers crossed...
of course "we" would rather they stayed on this side of the pond, and played in the States, &, Canada....

Chrislit18 12-04-2008 04:24 PM

I'm srue they'll at least play some dates in England...and possibly Austrailia [not europe duh, but for the point].

They did for SYW, and idk why they wouldn't this time.

michelej1 12-04-2008 04:35 PM

Well, if they want to rake in the dough, they can definitely do that overseas.

Michele

BellaDonna93 12-04-2008 04:36 PM

Yeah, I really want them to come here! I live in Sweden...Well, why only U.S dates????? They may know that they got A LOT of fans here in Europe too!!!!! I wish from my heart that they'll come here! Or will I ever be able to see my biggest idols?

trackaghost 12-04-2008 07:59 PM

I can't see them coming over, I don't think it would financially benefit them to tour outside the States and Canada and let's face it money is the probably the only reason for this tour.

Didn't Lindsey say somewhere that this tour before a new album would help the band gel together and help the creative flair before they went into a studio.

marinnette 12-05-2008 10:39 AM

I agree! I live in Barcelona and I'd love to see them live once.:(

He has to say things like this to justify it to himself. He's been pretty derisive of the Eagles for doing nostalgia tours and now he's doing one. That must smart.

Hawkeye 12-05-2008 11:14 PM

I really really really hope they DONT go to Europe. This our needs to just be 40 dates and END, so they can record an album. The only way I'd be for a European tour would be if after their England shows they stay there and record the album IN England with a certain someone who lives there.

MacMan 12-06-2008 02:13 AM

Well, if they are sticking to 40 dates in North America, and their press stated they are touring through Spring and summer.... And if they do approx. 15 dates a month (like in March), then they will blow threw North America (40 dates) in just over 3 months... So that leaves plenty of Summer left to head elsewhere like Europe, England and Australia... Even if they only did 10 dates a month beginning in March, they will have done 50 shows by the end of July.. and Summer is basically only half over.

Who lives in England? I don't think the Prime Minister would want to do an album with FM.

Didn't they say something to the effect that there wouldn't be a new album to go with this tour? And why would you tour BEFORE the album?

(I hope they put out a live album- Live in Pittsburgh)

Or Rock Werchter in Belgium, ya know? They will be just in time to hit some of the major European festivals when they finish their 40 dates in the US.

If they're not coming to Europe I am planning my LA trip around the time they tour CA. If they move from East to West that would probably be somewhere in June, right? Perfect.

Blue Horizon 12-06-2008 01:54 PM

For those of you who maybe have forgotten all the talk by Mick & Co...... this whole adventure is meant to last 2/3 years of being on the road and in the studio to record new music. With that in mind, I would say that it is 99.9% certain that they will go overseas including Europe as this will maybe be the last time for all FM fans to see them.
I am sure Mick and John together with Stevie/Lindsay will want to say farewell to their Uk fans before calling time on FM.
Lets keep our fingers crossed!!

Blue Horizon.

Madness Fades 12-09-2008 12:59 PM

This really will end up a complete disgrace if they don't do Europe, uk and Ireland. This is where half the band come from, where the band originated from, and where many many many fans live.
This tour shouldn't be about the money it should be about the fans getting the opportunity to hear the old stuff.
Who Agrees?
Were so left out on this side of the water.

I totally agree with you! The half of the band is from England and they have to go there, I think :) And on their way in Europe they can also stay in Sweden and do a concert, it would be great! Hope my wish comes true!

The dance 12-10-2008 04:29 PM

It is almost for sure that FM will play in the UK but what i would like to know is that if they will also play in countries like Germany, Holland, Spain, Sweden, Belgium, you know a real tour in Europe for a few weeks...
What do you think??
By the way, my first time here and i love the site!!

jedw 12-10-2008 07:40 PM

Mick Fleetwood actually spoke of the tour on the UK's "the One show"
he was actually on the programme to promote mick fleetwoods blue band, but at one point he stopped the interviewer and said oh by the way i thought people might like to know we're going out again with "john and stevie" ok so apparently lindsey buckingham doesnt get a mention lol, ..... but i took this to mean the FM tour would include the UK.

Liza 12-11-2008 09:13 AM

I went to see Mick Fleetwood for the last night of his recent UK tour in St Albans on 3 November and Mick gave a long speech at the end of the concert, very humble, and said that he will be back with Fleetwood Mac including Stevie and Lindsey in 2009 - so let's hope he is right. And let's hope they are not going to charge those extortionate prices. I also read somewhere recently (maybe it was a dream), that Fleetwood Mac were thinking about finishing their tour at Wembley Stadium - wouldn't that just be fantastic if Christine decided to join them!!!!

Sanne2 12-11-2008 09:50 AM

Wow, I only just notice the title says "Eurpoe".......
Forget Eurpoe, come to Europe!

Yeah, I'm also almost sure that they'll come to U.K but I really REALLY hope that they'll come to Sweden, or Norway, or Denmark, or Finland...?????? Please, if anyone know, tell us!

Have a nice day!

suzyvermoesen 12-15-2008 07:19 AM

yesterday i was watching Mick Fleetwoods Blues Band live in Krefeld (18.10.2008) and between songs there is an interview with Mick in which he says Fleetwood Mac will be touring all over the world in 2009. So let's keep our fingers crossed that they will come to Europe.
I'm not expecting them to come to Antwerp (or even Brussels) but London will do me fine thank you very much !

chriskisn 12-15-2008 07:30 AM

Well sorry Europe but I don't care if you get FM. They need to come to Australia and specifically Perth.

Sadly this won't happen - the Aussie $ is worthless and all the big name acts (such as Madonna) have cancelled the Australian leg of the tour as the promoters can't make any money. Forgive my rant but we are one of the few economies that isn't in recession and our currency has halved against the US$. Oh well.

Plus its rare for anyone to get to Perth as we are the smallest of the state capitals.

The dance 12-22-2008 02:09 PM

I'm sure that they will give a few concerts in the UK and lets hope fore a few more in Europe!!!! Does someone know when we will get some new tourdates of FM?????????

I'm wondering that too...hope we'll get some new dates soon...I really hope that they'll come to Scandinavia...Sweden :)

GypsyGirl15 12-22-2008 02:32 PM

They played some really obscure German cities like Oberhausen during the SYW tour, so I hope they'll include a few gigs here next year or in 2010, but if they decided just to go to the UK that would be fine with me too.

Someone keeps talking about how they should come to Sweden. Just out of curiousity, have they ever played a concert there?

Oh, I had no idea. Maybe I should browse the main site one day, instead of just the message board. :D

Thanks so much. It is actually a photo which I got off of eBay a couple of days ago. The colours of the original were very plain, so I played around with it a bit and this is the result. Glad you like it.

Azzar 12-22-2008 05:19 PM

When Mick was on the BBC not so long back he said "Make sure you come see us". Surely he doesn't mean come to America and/or Canada.

Matthew 12-23-2008 04:57 AM

And what about the central Europe, there are people too;). I would like to see Fleetwood Mac at least once in my life. They were also in Vienna in 1990. I could probably go to Munchen or Berlin also, but if they will stay only in the USA... I will be very angry. Americans saw them manytimes... and what about us?

Good luck! ... but be prepared to having to go to a different country to see them in concert though. You never know.

The dance 12-23-2008 10:36 AM

In the last 10 years FM have only played live in the USA, UK and a few shows in Germany. Before that they played all over the world. Let's hope they will do that again this tour:woohoo:
