jannieC 12-04-2008 06:01 AM

Are these the only dates, or do we think more will be added?

Nevermind- just looked in Rumours. I'm up too early this morning.

petep9000 12-04-2008 06:45 AM

Yay! 2 New York dates!!!!!!
This is awesome, a little pick-me-up in March to get me through the winter doldrums!:]

GavinBrown 12-04-2008 08:39 AM

my friend and I had a good chuckle with the tour title..."You mean, fleetwood mac will perform their greatest hits on tour???"....lol

Why don't they do a world tour?????? I hope they know that they haven't all their fans in the U.S...?...We in Europe also want to see them! I'm soooo sad now! I was hoping for a world tour, but now I realize it's never going to be one, and I'll never be able to see my idols :( :( :( I'm actually crying...but I wish them good luck on their tour!

Have a great day everyone!

Well, we're going to get new publicity photos and new interviews (something to dread) from the gang, even if we won't be getting a new setlist.

Well, those are only the first few tour dates that were released, so there's really no need to cry. I read that they have more than 40 tour dates planned and as other members pointed out they played shows in Europe during their SYW tour too.

RoseGarden 12-04-2008 05:16 PM

Thanks for posting Eugene!!!

So excited the Mac comes to CT on my 45th birthday.:]

Well, thank you! I know there's no need to cry but I felt like "What a hell", I've waited a long time to see these dates and was really hoping that they'll come to Europe, so I was sad...but now I'm happy again! When I realized that it will be more dates! Hope that they'll come to Sweden! But if they'll come to Europe, I'm sure that it will only be to England, but we'll wait and see what happens next!

Have a great day!

Interesting about the Palace, Auburn Hills show....I probably won't spend the $$ this year.....it seems its not really worth it anymore to me. That small article about the tour is interesting....like HOW many more Rumours cds are we gonna keep getting....although there is more material....we all know of more outtakes etc. (even with the 2 cd set previously released).... I am curious to know about this DVD though??? Anyone have like any clues to that one??
Just some random thoughts thats all.....

I'm probably only going to the Mohegan Show, and I haven't heard anything about it yet.

It is not on Ticketmaster, and Mohegan themselves have not put the show on their website. [Yet Motley Crue is playing the day before and they're listed.]

So I would appreciate info about Mohegan if anyone has heard anything as well :)

woohoo, i'm there!!!~

1sttimelongtime 12-05-2008 05:29 PM

A question

Hi

I am new to this board and am excited about seeing Fleetwood Mac when they tour. It'll be my first time!

I live within easy driving distance of MSG, Uniondale, East Rutherford, Albany and Mohegan Sun. I am trying to decide which place would be best to see them. Does anyone who's been to any of those places have any advice on which would be best - ease of getting good seats etc?

I've heard that the acoustics at Madison Square are not great, and I saw Guns n Roses there a looong time ago and they sounded terrible. However I'm wondering if that's just because GNR sometimes sounds terrible in general!

Are there any other pros and cons to each site?

Chrislit18 12-05-2008 05:33 PM

Mohegan, you may have a hard time getting seats, but I enjoy the venue

I saw Stevie there in April, I was a bit far back, but I love the venue.
Plus I saw Maroon 5 there like 11ish rows back, and It was AWESOME.

I reccomend Mohegan. That's where I'm seeing them!

Macfanforever 12-05-2008 05:57 PM

Not to drift off topic, but Wal-Mart should of hired the Mohegan Suns security staff to take control of the nuts on the black friday stampede of that poor worker. He would be alive today.
as I found out at the last Edge walks , They did not take any crap from anyone.

RoseGarden 12-05-2008 06:52 PM

I would recommend Mohegan because there really aren't any bad seats there per say. Also, there is a Best Western a 1/2 mile away which offers free limo service to and from the casino.

I am so glad there is something to look forward to this winter:]

IKV Nexis 12-06-2008 01:22 PM

Not at THAT Price!

I am very happy to learn that The Mac is comming to Ottawa, but I am NOT going to pay $500 to go!!!! The prices they want for tickets is F%&ING Stupid! $120 for the worst seats and up to $700 for front row. I love The Mac and especialy Stevie but F THAT!!!

THINKABOUTIT 12-06-2008 06:08 PM

Oh wow dates released!! As soon as other dates are released (hint, hint, So Cal) someone post them immediately!!!!!!!!!! :blob2::blob2:

Serrart 12-06-2008 07:38 PM

I'm glad they're going to tour, even though the greatest hits thing doesn't excite me. I just hope they'll come somewhere in Europe (at least London, Please!!!) but I won't pay anything like 500 $ to see them, there's something immoral in tickets at these prices especially in this moment, IMO.

Romy

kathy1 12-07-2008 09:46 AM

i am waiting for atlantic city or philadelphia if anyone finds out about these dates can some one pm me or just post them here thanks.

starshine 12-07-2008 01:21 PM

I have to agree the ticket prices aren't worth it.....oh so I'll miss GYOW or Dreams again or BL or yeah the only 'selected' few songs they'll play instead of the 'rare' songs that they'll like not ever play period....Its sad that the 'hits' is all they will play. Kinda sad with the wealth of material 'they' have (& same for Stevie but well we've all had those set lists discussions before haven't we....) I don't think the 'new' set of shows for Fmac will be any different really. Esp with no NEW music to speak of. Just another reason to re-hash the same old same old. I guess if you've not ever seen them live I can understand....but those prices are horrible. I see someone on ebay is selling tickets for The Palace here for the Michigan show next yr...they have prices ranging from $200-almost 1,500.00 thats horrible. Someones's gonna make a killing someplace......I think I'll just save my $$ for something else thank you. I'm a fan but I'm also not gonna give an arm & a leg for tickets either....IMO anyway....but well we all have to do what we gotta do...........if your going thats fine too....I can hear all about the concerts here and thats fine with me really......enjoy yourselfs though.....:)

I'm in England and Mick Fleetwood was interviewed on my local radio station a couple of months ago. He said there would definitely be concerts in England but I cannot remember if he mentioned anywhere else in Europe.

Musicman408 12-07-2008 02:28 PM

My only worry about this tour is that Ticketmaster tickets will be 150 plus dollars for the best seats.... I want to go badly, but I just think that is terrible to charge those kind of prices when the economy is as it is.

You will probably not find ANYTHING in the first 20 rows of floor seats for $150; 4Star and 5Star premium packages account for those.

That is cool I am looking forward to the show as well will be there I do love this venue i do think the mohegan sun arena and Harbor Yard Arena are the two best venues to see a show and they are both 10,000 seat arena's pretty much not a bad seat in the house i also do have to include too The Chevrolet Thearte is a great place too. I am not too happy about the prices but will be at the show i wont be able to buy the tickets right away on day of sale hope there will be tickets available when i do have some extra cash and that probably wont be until sometime in middle of january or the end of jan. 09 it might be a sold out show by the time the show is near but i hope tickets will be available for me also have a friend working on getting me comp tickets to the show also i hope that works out for me it will be awesome if it does. I am excited about this tour just hope connecticut wont get cancelled cause of the high prices but i guess its in reason still cheaper than the eagles and madonna. i hope its a long tour so to be able to go to a few more shows since its there last tour together unless Christine decides down the road to get together with them again now would be the time if she was to do that i would think but that is a pipe dream i believe. looking forward to seeing everyone at the show no matter where I am sitting will be a blast hope to meet up a few people from the board.:blob2:

i though i heard they are doing a world tour for 2 years i dont know if that is true or not probably depends on how the tour is received too its received like the say you will tour definetly 2 years i would say since its there last tour together they are saying or I am hearing. I though all through europe and australia mabye too as well so my guess if they are touring here in spring and summer maybe in the fall winter tour they will be in europe.
