That Made Me Stronger,but not a better songwriter.

Definitely That Made Me Stronger. Really, the only thing I have a huge problem with is the lyrics to the chorus, which are nauseatingly self-absorbed.

It's Only Love...I don't know why she had to use one of Sheryl's crappy songs. And the thing that gets me is Sheryl herself used that song on her own album a year later! That always made me really mad. Stevie could have replaced that with Space Needle, Annabelle Lee, etc...

TMMS. No melody, no inspiration, self indulgent. Stevie we love you but not everything that happens to you is a song in the making.

And yes, my vote ONCE AGAIN is for That made me stronger. I adore this album, but this one could have been replaced with "My Heart" to make an awesome album even better.

This is suck a fukcing awesome, happy song. I really wonder what the hell she and her people are thinking sometimes :shrug:

"My Heart"? Are you kidding me? What a bland POS song. Its obvious why it wasn't on the album.

"My Heart" would be right at home on "Street Angel", where it would be a standout. But TISL? Just because its an outtake doesn't mean its inherently special.

The truth is, TISL is probably my favorite album of Stevie's. Even the tracks everyone seems to hate (TFFT & TMMS) are ones I quite like.

Then again, Gate and Garden is also one of my favorite songs of Stevie's, so what do I know anyways? ;)

Too Far From Texas gone first?????????? Seriously, sometimes I don’t know where your heads are at guys – this is one of the best songs on TISL. Geeez Louise – though I totally disagree with you Luke A regarding “My Heart.” One of Stevie’s best unreleased songs in my opinion.

I don't think I can vote in this poll. I actually like all of the songs on this album, certainly one of her best albums. Someone said somewhere on the Ledge that Stevie won't ever release another album, and I so hope this isn't true. So, I won't vote at least until it gets down to just a few songs.

Once TMMS is gone, it's going to be hard for me, because I think the rest of the album is good. It's a shame that it looks like It's Only Love is going to be the next to go...it's one of the best songs on here, and is 10 x better than Sheryl's version.

I listened to The Wild Heart the other day right after I got done with TISL. I always hated "Gate & Garden," and while I still think it stinks lyrically, if you don't pay attention to the words, it's not half bad. :D

I now think "I Will Run to You" and "Nothing Ever Changes" are the "Too Far from Texas" and "That Made Me Stronger" of TWH for me.

I like I Will Run To You, though it is sappy.

I also think Cher should have covered Nothing Ever Changes :eek:

The lyrics on G&G are nonense but her vocal is awesome especially near the end, she really digs deep.
