I really love this album now that I am trying to pick a song. My vote is for Mystified. I like it, but it's my least favorite.

[yay stevie songs are going early, hopefully my favorite will actually win this time XD]

Matthew 11-21-2008 04:35 PM

I don´t like Mystified at all.

Family Man

I vote "Family Man," although "When I See You Again" comes close. Clearly "Seven Wonders" will win this poll, although "Little Lies" *should* win.

Agree 100 %. How this song of all her songs made onto this album I will never ever understand. I really believe that she pulled her significant power tithin the band and demanded for whatever reason it be included. I refuse to believe that Linds would allow this dreck onto the album if it were up to him.

It brings an otherwise really good disc to a screetching halt. I am hoping that Tango wins. Just love his vocal and the it really has a kick ass guitar riff and drum wallops.

When I See you Again

"Whassaaamattaaababbbehhhhh...." *shudders*

Welcome to the Room . . . Sara captured none of the vivid imagery of her prior songs, esp. FM songs. The production is horrid (I blame LB for that). Finally, her whole bitch with an attitude toward Frontline is childish.

SW could be the best song on the record. I do think, however, TITN is the song that jams the hardest and Little Lies is the best group effort on it.

Strand I keep reading your posts and agreeing with all your opinions and imput. :-) "Bitch with an attitude" LOL!

If you had to pick one, and only one, either FM effort or solo what song would you pick as your fav from Mz Nicks?

It likely would be Gypsy. She is just so on her game in that song and LB and FM's production of it astounds to this day. It also had so much influence on me as a kid and later on too.

Sara is also way up there.

Clearly? That's a dismal thought.

Thanks!!

And, for the record and for the infidels who think I blindly defend her (not you Moz) - this is an example of me providing an honest opinon of La Nicks and she stinks here

Peestie 11-21-2008 10:28 PM

Welcome to the Room... Sara.

That gets my vote. I don't know what I'd like to win but it's either a Lindsey or Christine song. The only Stevie song that I could see winning it When I See You Again and ever then it's only because it's the least derivative of her three.

What don't you like about it?

I think it's fun & has a great beat.

Caroline

How many syllables can be forced into that word?

The music sounds as if it were lifted off of the Muzak on the Lido Deck of the Love Boat.

EnchantedKiwi 11-22-2008 12:47 AM

Caroline :)

TheBlueLamp 11-22-2008 01:31 AM

Mystified to go.

Welcome is in my top 5 Stevie songs. Though I'm not surprised to see the dislike for it. I just love the line "when you hang up that phone...well you cease to exist"

D.W-Suite 11-22-2008 05:47 AM

Welcome... is absolutely terrible. Has to go. I'm shocked Family Man is surviving, wasn't that once voted their worst song here?...

Anyways, about Welcome, you can't really blame Lindsey's production on it, no amount of production could save that song. It's absolutely dreadful. Also, wasn't Stevie the person who was at the Tango recordings the least?

nicepace 11-22-2008 07:58 AM

Big Love gets my vote (or is it anti-vote?)

chriskisn 11-22-2008 08:22 AM

Actually I think it should come down to my three fave songs on this album, Caroline, Isn't It Midnight & Seven Wonders. And Isn't It Midnight should win - far and away the best song Christine ever did.

Other than Seven Wonders I tend to agree this is not Stevie's best work. Lindsey and Chris meanwhile had actually started to write something decent (yes I'll take the abuse coming my way for that comment) ;)

Sanne2 11-22-2008 08:57 AM

Wellllllll, I know ya'll are probably gonna hate me for this, but I totally agree. Big Love is one of my least favorite songs in the world. But it comes only second to Tusk. I love LB and all, but I literally want to break something when I hear either song.

Sooooo... Big Love gets my vote too.
