You can better vote for Love is a Hard Game to Play instead of Stand Back, trust me.
Anyway, I'm voting Desert Angel.

I think we should skip timespace but thats just me.

How can you vote off incompatible pairs? Who makes the decision to pair what with what? What if I like song A but hate song B, they are joined at the hip. If I want to vote off one, I have to vote off the other.

Wouldn't splitting Timespace into two seperate Face Off's have been smarter? How do you propose a face-off for 'Enchanted'? Three songs together? Four?
How do you choose like this? It's almost like having to chose:

'Snickers Bar/Crap Sandwich'
'Fried Rat/Lightly Toasted Bagel with Butter'
'Winning The Lottery/Having butt cheeks stapled together'

I don't want to eat a fried rat, but to vote the rat off I have to vote off the nice bagel too.
It makes no sense, unless I'm just not understanding the whole thing.

Honestly I feel songs that have already won previous face-off's such as Edge of Seventeen, Stand Back, and Rooms on Fire should not be included in this face-off as they have already won so what is the point?

Also, it doesn't really work pairing up songs because it confuses some people and others just don't take the time to state which song they wished to vote off so it actually screws up the validity of the voting.

Love's A Hard Game To Play gets my vote.

Oh man, and I had listened to Street Angel in preparation. Haha. I think I'll pass on this poll. I feel like I voted for most of these already.

BUT i do love the pairing of Beauty and the Beast and stand back!! Its unstoppable. It satisfies BOTH types of stevie fans. The ones who love her ability to put such deep poetic beautiful timeless emotion into a musically moving experience, and those people who JUST-CAN-NOT let the 80's go.:p:xoxo:

I actually like hearing her say BITCH with such conviction but I just can't get into Stevie doing Johnny Cash. But at least she looks fabulous in the video.

OHMYGOD, Sometimes its a Bitch HAS to win! It's an amazing song to listen to when you're having a bad day, and it relates to everyone. :D

Yeah, I was wondering if there was something I didn't get that everyone else knew.

Anyway though, if you won the lottery, I don't think it would be that bad to have cheeks stapled together. Not permanently, of course, but I'd do it long enough to cash the lottery check. So, that would be an obvious choice.

There's no real point to any of these polls. They're an outlet for fans to have discourse over the songs. Which we all enjoy, else we wouldn't be here. ;) This poll is just another outlet.

Desert Angel looks like its on its way out... It happens to be one of my all-time favorites by Stevie. Sorry to see it go. But I always knew I was a minority on that one.

But personally speaking, it won't be fun for me to vote once again for Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You until it drops off and to hear the same voter comments we heard just days ago on Stand Back or most of these other songs. So less fun for me.

Why don't we just post our vote, without the poll? I don't understand how the poll would work in this situation when we need to post our votes anyway.

Desert Angel is another song that is totally underappreciated. I happen to think the music is beautiful and despite the fact it was recorded during the “lost years” as Stevie refers to 89-91; I think it’s one of her most passionate vocal deliveries ever. Desert Angel is simply exquisite.

It´s very difficult to choose one of those couples of songs... because one could be my favourite and one not...

I like all those three new songs very much. If I could choose any one song, which is my least favourite, it would be probably Leather and Lace... but how could I vote for it when I love I Can´t Wait...:shrug:

Am I the only one in the world who actually likes this song??!?!?!

I find it to be so clunky. The same with Has Anyone Ever Written. I want to like these songs, but eye rolling in the middle of the song doesn't help me get there.

I like it too, and typically I dislike Klonopin-era Stevie. I like the way the music sounds, and "I was born in the desert.." is, I think, one of the most personal references Stevie has ever made of her own early years. That, and the lyric in 'Blue Lamp' where she wrote "...is a lamp that I carried from my mother's home."

What I don't like is her bellowing "Wooh-Operation DESERT SHIELD!!!" towards the end.

Yes, I agree. It's good they were paired together. I'd say TTM should go first.

I had a funny feeling poeple wouldnt get it OR didnt like this one. BUT I did it anyway.
Its HONESTLY not that HARD to understand...I paired the songs off because you can only have 10 poll thingys....and the album has 14 songs
You vote for the pair w/ the song you DONT like...Which ever pair has the MOST voted I count the votes that people posted w/ the song that people chose...which ever song w/ the most votes of the pair gets the boot.

My unfavorable feelings for HAEWAFY trumps my favorable feelings for Desert Angel...

Were we supposed to know this automatically? Listen we are FM fans, not Rhodes Scholars, except for Bill Clinton, who happens to be both. I think Bill Clinton would have intuitively understood your pairing system -- and might have wanted to sleep with it.

I think for this album, we should've just done the 3 new material songs... Otherwise, it is just kind of a Wild Card Round.
