Tusk Face Off: Round 6
 

Not That Funny has been voted off! It's now time to do a face off of side 2 of Tusk to get 5 from each side!



Rules changed up a bit:

I can only put 10 options in a poll so we are going to do the first 10 songs off Tusk first, till we get 5. Then we will do the same with the second side of tusk till we get 5 songs. Then those five songs will face off with eachother in one poll where the last one standing wins!


Vote for your LEAST favorite song from this album. I'll start a new poll within 24 hours with the next round. At the end we will have a winner, and move on to the next album. This is just for the rumours like up (hence being in the rumours section) so we will only be doing albums with all 5 members present (mick, john, christine, stevie, lindsey) I'm not sure if we should do live albums yet (Fleetwood Mac Live, The Dance) or keep it with just studio albums. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there. If you have any suggestions, feel free to PM me.

ugh this one is so much harder. I picked Never Forget. I hate all the Christine hate, but I have to pick that one. I hope Honey Hi and Brown Eyes last a while. Next to go should be Walk a Thin Line, then voting would be soo tough.

Well, I hope that Walk a Thin line and I Know I'm Not Wrong last. I was never really crazy about Christine's stuff on this album, and I got my Nicks Fix with Sara and Storms.

Chris, you make me laugh. If there was so much "Chris hate," how come Think About Me was never in danger of going in any of the side one Tusk rounds?
You have more emotional reactions to songs going or staying than anyone. (Unless my ICW fears count, and I can't tell by your posts, but for me they're supposed to be TOTALLY tongue in cheek. I'm seriously not worried that ICW won't be the fave RAL song.)
We don't hate Christine McVie. We don't hate Lindsey Buckingham. Even non-chiffonheads don't always have the same op as you. Having said that, I totally agree on what to get rid of this round. ;)

I am very emotional. My guy friends and I just had a textoff about my emotions, cause one of them was harrassing me about me 'wanting him' which is so NOT true, and so everything esclated and yeah.

the long story short-I have no life, so [I even told my mom this] I center all my attention to this msg board and these song face offs, they are enjoyable and add some excitement to my life. lol.

I know everyone doesn't hate christine mcvie, I find it funny-ironic-how most of the votes are for her songs on these polls [all 3 so far!].

I need a life, but until I can get one [read: obtain my licence in Jan] these polls will keep me entertained.

We like you here Christine... Well, I'm a n00b of course. But we seem too, and who wouldn't? :) And yes, these polls are fun. I don't place a value judgement on what consititues "a life" as opposed to "no life". It's all just living. This isn't any less of it than anything else you could choose to do with your time. *shrugs* Or maybe that's just me.

I LOVE Christine (particularly Bob Welch-era), I think she's the classiest member of the band, and a phenomenal songwriter. But much of her work on this album is simply not her best. It's no coincidence that she seems to hate Tusk herself. But I do hope Never Make Me Cry and Brown Eyes last... Those two are loveleh.

Honey Hi got my vote. I'm hoping for IKINW to win.. but it's too soon to say.

It's quite upsetting that Brown Eyes happens to have the highest number of votes right now. :(

Yeah, I must agree though that Christine's Tusk work isn't her best, I much prefer Mirage and Tango songs of hers. :nod:

Brown eyes for me. I love girls with brown eyes, but the song has got to go.

That's the spirit. I totally buy that! I used to be that way about a hockey board until I took everything too much to heart and just stopped going.

You said you thought it was among the strongest in the FM songbook. And I was just saying that it's a pretty good songbook with a lot of good stuff in it. A lot of bands could want to kill for more than one or two good songs and a ton of FM is top-notch.

I agree. "Brown Eyes" is one of the two or three best songs on this entire album.
