2009 Fleetwood Mac Tour Setlist
Here's the plan: We create our agreed upon "Dream Setlist," and send it to each member of Fleetwood Mac, and hopefully, they'll take our ideas into consideration.
------ Here's how this is going to work: 1. Post the TWO songs that you feel MUST be included in next years setlist. 2. One song must have Lindsey on lead vocals, one must have Stevie on lead vocals, unless you indicate a duet. 3. Post your ideas for the concert. Acoustic set, lighting, band placement, etc. ------ Remember -- Everyone is going to post their two favorites, so most songs will eventually be covered. ONLY POST TWO. Any further song recommendations wil be ignored. The date cutoff will be at the end of next month. From there, I'll create a poll, we and we'll cut it down 24 songs. 12 Lindsey, 12 Stevie, more or less. Also -- Realize that this twelve will HAVE to include the hits. |
1. Angel
2. Crystal |
Thrown Down
What Makes You Think You're The One Suggestion: Just go out with the core group (Mick, John, Lindsey and Stevie) plus a keyboardist and one guitarist. Retire: Big Love and Come. |
Bleed to Love Her
Angel Core four and all I request is Brett on keys (considering the obvious is impossible). |
Angel
Book of Love I guess only the Mac members, plus some additional keyboards [whoever I don't care], none of Stevies backup girls. SnL all vocals, no World Turning PLEASE. Those are my ideas. |
Sisters of the Moon
Come |
----- 1. a. Angel b. Sisters Of The Moon (Stevie may NOT perform Dave Mathew's "Crash" no matter how much she likes it) 2. Lindsey is already capable of varying his set list, so I've selected two songs with Stevie on lead. However, I suggest "Blue Letter," "Tango In The Night," "Miranda," or totally off the radar, "Love Runs Deeper" for Lindsey. Stevie would do great back up on any of them. (Tango needs no backup) 3. Since they tend to emphasize "Rumours songs" (Second Hand News, Dreams, Never Going Back Again, Don't Stop, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, Gold Dust Woman), perhaps they could get a lifesize cardboard figure of Christine to "stand in," while playing a recorded Christine "Songbird" at the end of the show. ;) Stevie & Lindsey should not cover Christine's songs. Unsought suggestions: Bag 'Landslide.' Bag 'I'm So Afraid.' Please. They should all wear hats. They'll do Angel next year. I would be SHOCKED if they didn't. Unless they feel that Sara was only performed for a small portion of the tour that it will suffice... which would be really lame. Storms will likely be considered too boring for the concert setting.
As for a Lindsey song, Not That Funny is probably due for a redux, as unoriginal of a choice as that might be. |
Songs I'd like them to do: Angel, What Makes You Think You're The One, Don't Let Me Down Again (yeah, right), The Ledge (bring out the elastic band guitars!!), Love Runs Deeper (hey, if Stevie can do Stand Back...), Sisters of the Moon. Most importantly... DON'T DO ANY CHRISTINE SONGS WITHOUT HER THERE! It won't be the same.

Stevie lead- I don't want to know
Lindsey-What makes you think you're the one |
Lindsey: Big Love - ALBUM VERSION PLEASE!!! If he needs to have his "solo-moment" he can do Go Insane.
Stevie: Angel Suggestion: Offer Christine 3 million dollar if she agrees to tour again and set up the stage "in the round". |
Stevie: Storms (I would have chosen Angel but others have taken care of this already so maybe we'll get both???)
Lindsey: Crystal PS Stevie and Lindsey should definitely perform whichever Christine songs they feel comfortable doing - undoubtedly, their versions would be the definitive takes. Oh and yes, Stevie should do Songbird - it would be far more stirring in her hands. I am in total agreement with the album version of Big Love being performed - they could begin the show with this. |
Thrown Down
Go insane (full band version) |

Ok
For Stevie I suggest Seven Wonders. I think this would be a great concert opener. She can still pull it off.
Lindsey...I am gonna say Crystal. After hearing Say Goodbye on the last tour, I totally think this would sound awesome with Stevie on background. |
Stevie - Running Through the Garden
Lindsey - The Right Place to Fade |
Lindsey: Save Me a Place. It was between this, NGBA, and Red Rover, but I have heard the other two.
Stevie: I Don't Wanna Know Who is going to suggest Go Your Own Way and Dreams? Although some of us may not like it, it just wouldn't be an FM/Lindsey/Stevie concert otherwise. |
Sisters of the Moon & Second Hand News would make me very happy : )
|
shizz I forgot about Thrown Down. Oh well, I keep Angel.
Um, the hat idea made my day. They all look pimpin in those hats, they should seriously think about it! |
Lindsey: Oh Well
Stevie: Angel (Bob Welch's) Together: Green Manalishi (as played in 1975) |

"You don't typically do "takes" at a concert."
Yes David, you are correct but I was speaking in a broader sense, referring to what I believe could well be the superlative versions of Christine's songs, in the event this occurred. I would take a Stevie/Lindsey interpretation over any of Christine's versions, studio or live. Let's face it mate, aren't we just splitting pubes here? PS Great suggestions earlier about Seven Wonders and Thrown Down. Also, how about Stevie and Lindsey duetting on Think About Me? |

Lindsey's NGBA gets my vote.
I'd sell my soul to see and hear Stevie sing Sara live. |
Lindsey: MIRANDA
Stevie: SEVEN WONDERS - rearranged, acoustic! (de-eightified) Both: I DON"T WANT TO KNOW |
To be honest, what I truly desire is for the Tusk album to be performed in it's entirety, with or without Christine (although it would be my preference for her to be involved). I consider Stevie, Lindsey and Christine to all be at their creative peak during this recording and would love to see all 20 tracks translated live. I realise this will never happen but how fantastic would it be if it actually occurred, maybe just as a one-off, filmed show in the vein of The Dance? Dave, surely you'll back me on this - we seem to agree on everything else...

That would be my dream, too. Although they could do some SYW-tracks (miranda, thrown down) and I Don't Want To Know and Crystal, too. |
Stevie should definitely do Sister of The Moon. Lindsey I think should do Book Of Love. and here's hoping throw in Frozen Love.
|
I really want them to do Frozen Love and Crystal!!!!!!!!! And then, I hope they'll come to Sweden...still, is there anyone who knows anything about where they will do the tour...Europe?...or only the U.S...?
