Oh, eBay: Buy Stevie's underpants!
I troll eBay once a day-ish to see what Stevie things might show up, and today I found the following person claiming to be selling Stevie's shoes and underwear:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Stevie-Nicks-shoes-and-brief_W0QQitemZ320302898614QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320302898614&_trkparms=39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A10|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 I somehow doubt very much that these are real, but it made me laugh anyway. What the heck would you do with Stevie's underwear? Nevermind. Don't answer that. I don't want to know. |
i just saw this on ebay too~ i was dying~ someone trying to sell a freaking girdle & those shoes are hideous!!!~
|
I like how the seller knows that she "wore them on a regular basis." How one concludes this from underwear left behind at a photo shoot is beyond me. How one leaves their underwear behind after a photo shoot is even more confusing. Must have been some photo shoot.
|
Haha - yes, the shoes are bad. Maybe not as bad as the platform Reeboks, but still really bad.
And I can name a few ways you might be able to tell someone wore a pair of underwear on a regular basis, but all are pretty gross. |

Sidenote; I'm annoyed by anyone who refers to underwear as "briefs", especially if they're chick's underwear. |
A few years ago, someone was trying to sell some tan-ish brown colored panties, and even gave the name of who they got them from. I forgot.

Well, it would be worse if they referred to mens' underwear as panties! Michele |
OH MY GOD!!! That is ridiculous...As much as I love Stevie I would NEVER buy underwear that she has worn before.
|
okay what the hell happened at the alleged photo shoot that Stevie went home without her panties AND her shoes?
Those look like Birkenstocks to me by the way. |

Oy. |
ahhh
I have to say this disgusts me... I am a fan who adores anything Stevie or FM, but not this! I also question this story...
|
This is hilarious in every way. Also more than likely false.
|
Who removes their underwear for a photoshoot?!

There are plenty of reasons for her to change her underwear prior to a photo shoot, and plenty of funny reasons that I could make up.
Styling may have included some kind of waist-high pantyhose, which might be uncomfortable to wear over her own antique granny panties. Regardless, professional stylists always makes sure everything from undergarments to socks to bras, etc. are on the wardrobe rack. And if authentically Stevie panties were up for grabs, I'd be swabbing them for DNA with my niece's little chemistry kit hoping to find the raw materials for my Jurassic Stevie experiments. If we can clone a goat, cloning Stevie is right around the corner. Maybe a tanning booth would accelerate growth of the Stevie fetus, which I'd stop when she hit 30 or 31. Then I'd make her sing the songs I want to hear. |

In all seriousness, unless you show up wearing the clothes you're going to be photographed in, I would think you need to remove your underwear for most shoots, just to make sure everything fits smoothly and looks as intended.
You know the Neal Preston photo where her cape is flying in the air and she is wearing a gown? Do you think her slinky dresses or ballet attire would drape correctly if she kept on her ordinary knickers? No way. Michele |

I have to say that I am surprised there is no pictures of her wearing those usually when they sell clothing they have a picture of them wearing the cloths but this has to be a joke..lol so stevie just walked off the shoot with out under wear and sandles...lol was this for playboy magazine? i guess anyone will go to extremes to sell anything with a story behind it and not suprised there is no certificate of authentisity either...lol. this is so wrong:distress:

Dear Ms. Nicks, I am writing to you today to let you know that I found your used underwear and hideous cork sandals in a Burbank dressing room. Please see first attached .jpg image to confirm they are indeed what you lost (assuming you know what you had, of course - ha ha!). Since they have so obviously been worn on a regular basis (please see second and third attached .jpgs), and since I assume you have enough money to buy all the granny panties your little heart desires in order to replace the ones you leave littered about the streets of California, I figured you won't mind me keeping them. And so, being something of an entrepreneur, I've decided to sell these items on eBay and use the proceeds as startup capital for my new line of combination celebrity underwear/calling card/organic soy latte vending machines. I know I need not belabor the point to a woman with your business savvy, but the idea has the potential to corner a very lucrative section of the global marketplace, and I am frankly astounded that no one's done it yet. But here's the problem - I have no way of proving these once belonged to you. I mean, I know the truth, and you know the truth, but I fear the eBay shoppers may be a bit skeptical. So I'm hoping you can come down to my warehouse in the industrial district of town, and let me take a photo of you wearing both the underwear and sandals so that I might include it in the auction as proof. I regret you will not be able to wear anything ELSE, even if my warehouse is drafty, because we don't want the amazing craftsmanship of the items to be overshadowed by 500 pounds of chiffon, as I'm sure you can agree - what with being a fellow artiste of considerable vision much like myself. Please let me know when's good for you, because I'd like to get this going as soon as possible before someone else gets a celebrity underwear (Ask us about Ann Wilson's thong!)/calling card (Calls to Cuba only 3 cents a minute!)/organic soy latte (mmmm, mocha!) vending machine out on the market before I do. Time is of the essence! Sincerely, Completely Harmless (I Swear) Used Underwear Peddler, Esq. PS - If the photo turns out as well as I think it will, I'd like to use it for advertising for the vending machines - something like, "Drahz from the Stahz: Escape from Berlin in Your Very Own Stevie kNickers!" and then you could do that thing where you squat down real low and sing all intense, or maybe whack a tambourine on the floor with extreme focus? What do you think? Personally, I think it's got panache, pizazz, moxie, and various other words, but since this is your (well-)used underwear, it's your call, baby. Have your people call my people! Or if you like, you can talk to me - ha ha! ***2 days later*** Dear Winner of 2008's Creepiest Whackdoodle Award, Attached, please find restraining order. Also attached, please find photo from book entitled "Hands Off!" demonstrating Ms. Nicks' kickboxing ability, which you may find particularly of interest considering the fact that if you come within 100 yards of her at any time, she will not hesitate to put the boots to you. Seriously, son. She'll lay you flat. You really don't want to provoke a woman that can kickbox in 7 inch platform boots. Don't ask how we know that, just know that we do. Sincerely, Stevie's People You might think having an imagination this overactive would somehow serve me well in life, but you'd be wrong. :( |

[QUOTE] Right, and I bet the stylists don't want the used undergarments back, so she walked out in what she'd changed into...She did, however, probably steal the shoes. Any shoes would be better than what she started with. |

Actually, a friend of a friend of a friend of mine found out I was a huge Stevie fan and claimed to have been given a pair of her boots which she promised to give me. After several months this friend of mine said they had seen her and that she had a gift for me. I was handed these two black pumps (no boots) and were told that this friend of a friend of a friend said they were Stevies. I forget how she said she got them.
At any rate, I can't see how they could really be Stevie's shoes because they seem to be too big. Should I post a pic here? |

I'd also be mortified to find out they'd been stolen from her dressing room or something. I'm sorry barefoot Stevie!!! |
