Someone asked about crazed athiest attackers who try to kill people... Well, here's one. Nothing against atheists, but people of any religion, or no religion, can be crazy.

I basically like your tag picture at the bottom, it just isn't supported by the facts. Just take a trip to China or read up on the former Soviet Union to see atheism's death toll. Nothing against atheism, but people will use any religion, or no religion, or any ideological means necessary, to rape, kill, control and oppress other people.

The AP story has been corrected elsewhere.
The shotgun-owner - referred to as "another neighbor" - is actually a roommate of the two women.
Bowman was drunk and did lose the eye.
There was also a history of conflict between the two households. Bowman filed an earlier report claiming he was being harassed, which doesn't excuse what he did.

Sure it would. You don't think some other excuse would be used to kill people? If it wasn't religion it would be something else. It's like blaming guns for killinjg people. In places where guns aren't allowed, people use knives or whatever else they can get their hands on. Religion isn't the problem, people are the problem.

it came up in other conversations where religion was blamed for killing people and someone asked me in I could find an example of athiesm killing people. Besides the obvious examples of Stalin and Pol Pot killing millions of people in the name of athiesm, more than religion ever killed, here was this bozo on the news.

Pol Pot and Stalin both killed people to stop religion from spreading. They killed in the name of athiesm and if you believe the body count, they killed more people than any religious war ever did. This is documented historical fact people, again, very basic stuff; if you would take your heads out of your asses and listen to something besides party line. :wavey:

If she understood it, she wouldn't be making that point because it is obviously wrong, unless she is wrong on purpose. It's not a matter of opinion, it isn't even debatable. The democratic party line simply ignores the point and pretends it doesn't exist, rather then deny history. For those who follow the party line, it appears that history only begins the day you are born. Russian or European terrorists don't use religion, so the point is false on it's face.
