Stevie Talks Funny :)

LOL, I was just watching Soundstage on DVR again today, (I stayed home sick today :/) when it brought back another memory. Did anyone notice that when Stevie was talking about "If Anyone Falls", she says "I ran straight home to my hotel..."? And at the concert I went to in Chicago, she was talking about how she was there in the winter in the stuido and recording Soundstage. (I was like, ****, I could have been stevie-stalking!) She said in these exact words:
"And as cold as it is here, I still can NOT come to love it here. I also feel so at home here in the Windy City."
My mom and I looked at each other... and started laughing. Silly Stevie! Anyone have any other Stevie sillies?

Nothing specific really, i just love the way she tells a story. its always like so discombobulated. and i totally get and identify with that:laugh:
If i had to pick a favorite line though, it b between

"Pack up your tranquilizers, were going to washington"
or
"i didnt wanna go as a HOT DOG or A BOX OF kleenex. ...i wanted to be a which"
:laugh::laugh:
God i love Stevie

Musicman408 09-16-2008 09:13 PM

No specific examples, but thanks for sharing you all's. I just think Stevie is freaking hilarious. I love her to pieces.

HAHA YES I Love they way she tells stories!! SO funny!!

I Love this video...at the end and she tells the story how theres a bee in her hair
--OMG NO!!!! I went to get the video and the account has been suspended!!Now I wish I converted it to my laptop!!--

WELL my other favorite was before "Dreams" she was like ..
"What can I do to REALLY piss Fleetwood mac off?"

Zombie 09-16-2008 11:28 PM

She is hilarious. I really enjoyed all the commentary she did for the videos on Crystal Visions, "As you can see, Atlanta is not burning and now I'm back on the treadmill trying to lose a little weight." Or stomping her little foot and saying, "Yes I can!" when explaining the Dave Matthews thing on Soundstage.

I cracked up at the show in Reading, PA this past April when she started going on about why they decided to come out and do some more gigs...which happened to be because they didn't have anything better to do, and sitting at home with the clicker and the TV gets boring.

I think one of the things I love most about her is that she has no problem making fun of herself. She knows she's good, but she knows she's silly and dramatic, too.

HAHA YES!! So funny!!

Also on the comentary during the first Stand Back and she was like "Wheres my maid and why are all these chickens here"
"I'm screaming...you can see"

I always thought it was funny in the 'Tusk' doc when she's making coffee.
"They give me this jobs to do, because I'm the one who convinced them to get a Bunn coffee maker!"

And then proceeds to make herself look like she's never walked into a kitchen before, pours in the water, slams the lid down and practically jumps back expecting it to spit at her.
"Coffees served!"

This is what happens when you're not a musician have lots of free time in the studio.

When Stevie says she's the only one in the band who knows how to make coffee, Lindsey is standing right there and looks -- for all the world -- like he never saw a coffee machine in his life. I always think that two generations of Buckinghams, father and grandfather, must've been turning over in their graves at that moment.

Zombie 09-17-2008 03:18 PM

Oh, I thought of another one!

At the beginning of the HBO concert, when Stevie, Sharon and Lori are walking down the hall to go out on stage, and the dude there says something like, "It's gonna be the best," and Stevie says, "Okay, we're praying. Dear god. Be with us. Please. Tonight. Otherwise...we're NEVER gonna be able to pay all this money back."

I've unfortunately never seen the Tusk documentary the whole way through, just the clips people have posted on YouTube. If they'd release that on DVD, they'd make a killing.

Hell, they'd make a killing if they'd release a lot of stuff from back then on DVD. It vexes me that they don't. *kicks a can*

LOL, I finally started a nice topic! But yeah... I'd really like to see/have the Tusk doccument, and the Rumors tour footage! I have tons of demos, but I have absolutely no video except for the released ones!

I noticed that too when she said "I went straight "home" to my hotel room." Then I thought, she probably HAS lived out of hotel rooms more than she's lived at any of her houses.
I always used to laugh when she'd tell the story about Edge when she was at the hospital with her cousin and her uncle died. She kept changing her uncle's name from Bill to John and back and I kept thinking, what the hell is his name, Bill or John? Then she finally "explained" his name was Bill but they called him John or vice versa.
The Crystal Visions commentary is too funny, especially the original Stand Back. She said that she wrote the story for the video but she "didn't know what the hell she was thinking." But then when the soldier gets caught pretending he's a Union soldier, she doesn't even understand why the Confederates want to shoot him. lol.
She's just a funny person, so entertaining. Ever notice how she pronounced musicians? It's like muse-iss-sins.

I have some videos that's not released stuff, also - like the SNL "Stand Back" - but if I try to put that one on YouTube, it'll just get yanked. I can send another way, though, if you want it. :woohoo:

LOL, I seem to remeber seeing a video with that in it... do you remeber where you got that from?

Joseph Corkill 09-17-2008 07:56 PM

I don't know where I am, but this must be Omaha

In college in 1984/85 in Austin, I saw the Rock a Little Tour at the Drum on the UT campus. I mentioned it to a friend, and he said he saw the same concert at a later date than I, and that Stevie Nicks was so f(*(*&* up, and she came out on stage and said, "I don't know where I am, but this must be Omaha." I have no knowledge or evidence that this really happened, but I do remember that this is what HE said.
Much love.

LOLz, that's pretty hilarious! :D It's great when you go to a concert and she unintentionally makes her story funny! But on the crazy matter, it's hard to tell who was more coked up, Stevie or Lori!

Joseph Corkill 09-17-2008 10:50 PM

Don't know where i am.

My friend did not see her in Texas. He did see her in the Midwest somewhere, but it was not Omaha. ha ha ha
Wonder if it is on video, somewhere.
How about the Other Side of the Mirror Tour stop in Dallas when a great giant huge moth landed in her hair. I remember that vividly.

Lol

The little part on Soundstage where she stomps her foot "Yes I can!!!", while talking about "Crash", lol, that was so cute, so Stevie!

Also the whole thing about how she wrote "Dreams" and, "what can she do to really piss Fleetwood Mac off?" I was there at that show, it was funny to say the least.

SmileAtYou 09-23-2008 11:41 AM

Silly Stevie

At my first Stevie show in May 2007, at the Oklahoma City Zoo Ampitheater, Stevie was about to play "Landslide", and she was about to do a dedication saying, "The only person I know from Oklahoma is Bill Clinton..."

My stevie-friend and I just looked at each other, confused  "Oh, Stevie, Bill Clinton is from Arkansas!"

David 09-23-2008 12:19 PM

When Cory Buckingham was writing the "tour diaries", she said Stevie was using a digital camera, taking all kinds of pictures, and every now and them she couldn't get it working, and she would say "This damn camera!"

Actually, when she drops the lid down she says "Coffee's 'making'". LOL! I only know that because I make the coffee in our office and I always do that exact same thing. And if someone's in the office I'll say it out loud. One time I even went so far as to do the whole thing an my friend just looked at me like "what the hell". LOL!

Is Bunn even around anymore?
