Fave thing from ice cream man

Remember when the ice cream man rolled around your neighborhood in that funky truck with the music blairing from the speaker in the summer?? (still does in mine now!!)
What was your fave thing you got from the ice cream man when you were a kid?

1. Bomb Pops
2. Sno Cones
3. Choco Tacos
4. Colonel Crunch

I used to love the bomb pops. Are they smaller now, or did they just seem big when we were younger? Push ups were good too. I can't remember what they were called, but there were these other ones that were plastic cones filled with sherbet and had a gum ball in the bottom. I used to get those the most I think. Our ice cream man didn't have music, just the regular bell.

we still have an ice cream man come thru my neighborhood~
i always loved the bombpops, tho you are right they sure have shrunk compared to how huge they were when i was a kid~ & they're so exspensive, you can buy a whole box of bombpops at the store for what you would pay for one off of the ice cream truck~ but we still do, there's just something nostalgic about it:thumbsup:~

when i was a kid, i used to always get the Pink Panther head. He was pink, like the cartoon, and had bubble gum balls for eyes.

It was this bar covered with chocolate crumbs with vanilla ice cream inside and in the middle was a fudge candy bar. Oh so good! I can't remember what it was called! They had a strawberry shortcake one too, although sans the candy bar. 9x out of 100I got the chocolate. Not all trucks had the kind with the fudge in the middle though.

Actually, the one with the chocolate bar inside was called "Candy Center Crunch Bar". The chocolate eclair just had a chocolate ice cream center. Both delicious! I loved the cake crumbs on the eclair and shortcake bars, but the candy crunch bar was like getting two treats in one. We used to carefully eat away all the ice cream so that only the chocolate candy was left, then eat that! I don't have any problem finding the eclairs or shortcakes, but the candy crunch one is hard to come by these days.

They were 3 X the size of the one this guy has.

WHAT on Earth is that in the ice cream? It looks like a slim jim, or even a little bit like what I just picked up after my pooch!

OH! LOL. Sometimes you can find those in the US at specialty stores, but they usually aren't very fresh. I had one once and I swear it was not only flaky, but dusty! I bet they are awesome over there though!

The ice cream man at my campground had real ice cream on his truck so we would get black raspberry, yummy.
