More Christine gossip!!!

OK, I'm told tonight that Chris has indeed been doing demos in her Barn Studio ( The Swallows ) at her Ickham England home!!!!

Fleetwood Mac HAS asked her to work with them on the new album but it doesn't sound as if that will happen. I say keep the faith!!

Where the hell is Ickham anyway?:o:blob2:

AlanC 07-26-2008 04:23 AM

and just a friendly, civil reminder that I am merely the messenger so please keep any possible negative comments regarding this to yourself if you question my news source. You are certainly entitled to your opinions but sometimes there are people who are quick to insult and question your integrity. Lets avoid that.

As I have stated before, Mr Bingham has ALWAYS been on the money regarding word related to Christine so I choose to have faith in what he says.

Again, time will tell if this is indeed true and please feel free to take what I share with a grain of salt until you hear otherwise;)

Peace.

Ickham is a very small village in Kent about 6 miles to the east of Canterbury. |

I'm not going to question your source now, but I hope, hope it's true. I just hate to get my hopes up & then nothing happens.

Time will tell, I guess.:)

Thanks Alan! I'd still love to see Christine record with FM at least one last time but if that's not gonna happen a solo record would be awesome!

I think that kind of goes without saying, no? She retired from the career, not the hobby.

jbrownsjr 07-26-2008 06:23 PM

Seriously, I have told Lindsey (in my head, confident that he can read my thoughts) 1000 times to just go to England. It would benefit both him and his testosterone.

Remember when Ken said they could all meet up in Hawaii, as kind of like neutral territory? That would be unbelievable.

Reminds me of when Chris said:

I love singing with Lindsey; we get such an interesting tone together.
But that was before she heard his new whisper croak.

Alan, I am more than willing to believe the sources because I have to! Seriously! I mean, this post, plus your previous one, while hardly official, have been the best "news" I've heard in a long time.

Ulpian 07-27-2008 01:33 PM

I hope it's true as well! That would be awesome.:]

going back and listening to Mirage and Tango... they had about 10 years there where they were really arranging together... I love their chemistry...

The problem is, everytime they meet up in Hawaii, they never get any business done. It's all about the Mai Tai's and the hoola dancing... pity that... ;)

You can totally hear that sympatico quality in the music not only in the studio but also in concert tapes. Fans used to confuse some of Christine's ad-libbed twiddlies (like the Chopin funeral march motive) in Tusk performances of WORLD TURNING, for example, with Lindsey -- so similar were their deft little meanderings in those days. She even played an electronic piano that SOUNDED like his guitar. They were both aware of this strange likeness.

awesome!

It's criminal that there is no Lindsey-Christine project. I suppose Tango is the closest thing we'll ever get to that.

mirage too...

Gailh 07-29-2008 02:57 AM

Am I right in thinking that we've had a FM album with Christine and Stevie but no Lindsey (Behind the Mask) and an FM album with Lindsey and Stevie but no Christine (Say You Will) but we've never had an FM album with Lindsey and Christine but no Stevie?

I wonder how thst would have turned out?

In a lot of ways though, Gail, Tango is the Lindsey/Christine Mac album. I mean, Stevie was only around two weeks for that. The Lindsey and Christine songs fit perfectly together on that album and it bore a few collaborations between them (You And I, Part II, Mystified, Ricky).

Edit: I forgot Isn't It Midnight!

Yes Tango was pretty much Christine and Lindsey's baby. IMO it has the best collection of songs by Christine on one album

I love it, too. The only bummer is some of the production choices with re: to Christine's voice. On songs like Everywhere and Isn't it Midnight, her voice is made to sound thin and "poppy"--I suppose. When I first heard that record I thought her voice was leaving her, but then I heard how wonderful she sounded on those songs live.

This definately is some cool news. Would love to see something happen.

Actually I would love to see a four piece of Mick, John, Christine and Peter Green.

It's never going to happen in a million years but I would love to hear them
