Daddy and Fine Wine
This is from the Denver Post
http://www.denverpost.com/food/ci_9605804 Coolest winemaker: Mick Fleetwood. The Fleetwood Mack drummer is bottling his own wine. I asked him which of his songs would go with his smooth and fruity merlot. "Wow, I've never been asked that before," said the tall wizard-like musician. "I'd say 'Oh, Daddy' (from "Rumours"). It's a little dark, and Christine McVie sings it in such a heartfelt way." |
I've always thought of Christine as being like a fine wine in that she gets better with age so I suppose this is kind of appropriate.

Off topic, but I'm loling at "wizard-like". I always thought Mick resembled Dumbledore, if Dumbledore were to become a rock star.

Lord Child - maybe Mick will try and sell her a few cases of his swill  Actually, I'd like to think CM had better taste in wine, but she was known to drink Blue Nun in the 70's, which in all fairness was very popular  |
.."Smooth and fruity" Mick...i don't know why that struck me funny...

I remember Blue Nun. When I was a mere slip of girl I thought it was the height of sophistication  Gail |

Unfortunately, she started smoking again after quitting. |

Some alcohol is no bad thing but at the levels she and the rest of the band indulged themselves it probably wasn't the healthiest of lifetsyles. Gail |
