1990s Pics

I'm sure these pictures have been around forever, but I just got my scanner working again and they hadn't been on my computer before now. So, I thought I would post them in case there were one or two angles or shots that perhaps other people did not already have either.

I am slightly perturbed by the pink scooter.

I wish it was a more recent photo. Then, we could blame it on his daughters.

Ummm...

It's always great that Lindsey has such a gorgeous face (aside from all his other, far more interesting/brilliant qualities he possesses) because some of the stuff he wears/has worn...:o Guess I shouldn't be complaining about his current mundane wardrobe when he has this in the files.

Great pics, thanks so much for sharing!:wavey:

Jesus christ, Lindsey stick with the jeans and black leather jacket. and never revisit the 90's. Ever ever again.
Wasnt most of that taken when shooting seven wonders and / or little lies.

Yes, most of these pics were taken on the Little Lies video set in Santa Maria, CA in early summer '87.

Would you guys consider using Photobucket or one of the sites that let you post clickable thumbnails? It's so much easier to scroll through a thread if the photos are thumbnailed -- especially big photos like those in the tour threads on the Rumours forum. The Photobucket thumbnail feature is super easy to use & totally rockin' & great.

Ok. I just got Photobucket and when it asked if I wanted to resize, then I thought it would make the photo permanently smaller. I didn't know that it would make it bigger again if you clicked it.

Yeah, it has a bunch of little bells & whistles that I'm actually still trying to figure out. Mostly, I just use the basics -- like the clickable thumbnails for forums, which I love.

Those sunglasses are awful. Not flattering in the slightest. Makes him look like Albert Brooks or something...

You see, it's not the sunglasses. It's the fullness of his face that makes him look like Albert Brooks. I told you that physique from The Dance wasn't cutting it!:p

I think it's the sunglasses because they aren't framing his face (while in that shape) in a flattering way. They're ugly. I personally think he looked wonderful during the Dance, but have come to see that others term him as "chubby" and often refer to it as the "fat Lindsey" period. But I've always felt that he looked handsome and he was a completely normal size (as opposed to the severely thin/emaciated Lindsey that I see creep up from time to time).

Thanks for that tip Dave... I had no idea with photobucket you could do it. I changed one of the pic threads I posted.

Some of these Michele I hadn't seen... Thank you!

I bought his keychain at one of the UTS concerts and when I showed it to my friend she asked me if it was Keith Richards!

oooh...he looks like a Dexys midnight runner in the above one! No, seriously, some lovely unseen photos (although he dosn't half look a bit gay in some of them..no offence to anyone , just a passing random lighthearted comment :))
That one in the suit and blue shirt (Tusk conference?) is gorgeous, thanks so much for posting them.

This is slowly morphing into a hotness thread, as they can't help but do. :p:D

I definitely agree. This picture is a great find! It has a very early 20th century Sicilian, Godfather thing going on. Like when Michael goes to Sicily in the first Godfather movie. It might just be my favorite Lindsey picture!

I know, it's an amazing photo, and to think it's only for a split-second in the Gypsy video! He was looking so good, you would think they'd used more from it.

michelej1 05-23-2008 11:50 AM

I wish we had gotten a lot more from the "making of" Gypsy and Big Love footage than we did.

Outtakes, unused footage, etc.

Yeah, and the kind of pompadour hair, with the hint of a lock falling forward and the shadow of a smirk in his smile.

Lindsey was the most gorgeous during "Out of the Cradle" era, I'm convinced. I think there's a more sophisticated-older-guy appeal and his hair and style are SO becoming. I don't care for that crazy hair during the "Go Insane" period. It's so unflattering and for some reason makes him look like a huge egomaniac- not like he isn't, but you know...

However, I will say that he looked AMAZING during the "Say You Will" period (weird how it's already got it's own period at this point). I like the grey, I like how he looks so well-aged and energetic, and I like his attitude. I'm sure Kristen will agree with me.

He's just a man with a beautiful face and really can't go wrong, but certain periods look-wise stand out more than others for me.:xoxo:

michelej1 05-31-2008 02:00 PM

I like it when Lindsey's hair is crazy, unruly, untamed. It seems to make a statement of its own. I love that image from OOTC's booklet when you just see him in front of the recording equipment -- his desk. You know it's him from the hair alone. Actually, some of my favorite pictures of him are taken from the back. I like the rain room photo in Mick's book and I like the other one in the book, when Lindsey's in a field, guitar in hand, walking away . . . I love Mick's use of that photo.
