new Stevie DVD: Broadcasting Live

1 Attachment(s)
sorry, there's probably already a thread on this, though I can't see it. The new information is that a DVD sleeve has now emerged:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stevie-Nicks.../dp/B0010YO8FI

It seems to be an unauthorised (but legal) collection of live footage, perhaps TV appearances?

kathy1 03-18-2008 06:46 AM

does anyone know what's on it?

Sanne2 03-18-2008 10:32 AM

It looks cheap, very bootleg-ish, but I'm still curious about what's on it.

mirror69 03-18-2008 02:52 PM

I've already pre-order this dvd I hope to find something interesting.....

Previous Broadcasting Live releases from Stormbird have been collections of TV performances, hence the name, so I imagine that's what this will be too. Although their releases are known for being rush-released and crappy quality.
Still it will be interesting to see what they put on it.

I'm surprised more Ledgies haven't bought & been talking about the fairly new Midnight Special performances that have been digitally remastered & released for the first time ever.

You get four great Mac performances -- WHY, OVER MY HEAD, RHIANNON, WORLD TURNING -- in crystal-clear sound & picture.

are these only available as an "as seen on tv! not available in shops" kinda thing you have to send away for?

My mum bought the 9 DVD set except it only had Rhiannon and Over My Head. Are we missing something?

Same here. I could be mistaken, but I don't think those two songs have been released on DVD yet.

I know that World Turning, Miles Away and Believe Me were aired on VH1 as part of some Midnight Special thing...

danax6 03-20-2008 07:12 PM

I'm pretty sure Why hasn't been released on any of those dvd's. I know because I would have been in heaven then. Instead, all I see is crap around me. So... no.

Oh, dear. I guess not yet. But they're coming -- you mark my words!

Is she Bea Arthur?

will26 03-22-2008 06:17 PM

I believe it is Faith Brook, I don't know very much about her though, actress on stage and screen. English I think.

According to someone over on Seven Wonders who works in a record shop in Canada, it is an official release of the US Festival and the cover art is subject to change (lets hope so.)

LOL i can't believe she is actually releasing this. She is absolutely trashed! I mean its a classic, but no one can say "Angel" sounds anything but horrid. Still, its cool to see some old stuff coming to DVD. Hopefully the FM will be next!

Nope, that won't play on U.S. players. But it might play on your DVD-ROM drive.
I can't believe this "release" is official. I think it's a bootleg. We've seen fancy-ass bootlegs before that snowed a bunch of people into believing they were official. I mean, look at the name of the "studio" on the Amazon page.

If these bootleggers get hold of their stuff, they will -- in the United States.

Trust me, if it's actually being sold in Canada - it wouldn't be a Pal version of the dvd - that would be pointless.

steviefan59 03-27-2008 08:19 PM

i totally agree

well ur so right david...but my biggest prob with the whole deal is why release it in canada and great britain and not in the u.s. that is the biggest stevie market altho she does do well in canada the u.s. is the biggest market...and if this is a us fest dvd as some have aluded to then all the more reason to release it to the u.s. first right...jmho but something stinks in denmark here...take care...pat
