Stevie Nicks in Reading, PA in April

just wanted to give you all a heads up -- i don't know anything about any other tour dates or if this is going to become a tour but i can confirm that stevie will be doing a show in reading, pa in april. if i find out anything else, i'll be sure to pass the news along to you.

kathy1 02-02-2008 07:37 AM

thanks for letting us know.

nailatixela 02-02-2008 07:45 AM

Wow really?! That would be great! Where did you get the info from, are there any tickets for sale currently?

Kelly 02-02-2008 08:35 AM

Reading and Stevie bring back TISL memories.

The Catdancer 02-02-2008 08:36 AM

Oh wow, that maybe means she's touring this summer :blob2:

danax6 02-02-2008 09:10 AM

Please let there be shows near NYC from May 3rd to May 10th. Thanks, Stevie.

UnwindedDreams 02-02-2008 09:13 AM

I guess at the Sovereign Center. I might be able to do that concert.

Thanks for the info :)

i was also wondering where they heard the news. i am on the computer almost everyday and i haven't heard anything about it other than on here.

WildHeart69 02-03-2008 05:46 PM

PS

I heard on the radio (102.9 WMGK) that Stevie will be in Philly sometime in early/mid June! that means two (or more) really close dates for us around here!

yeah, I had front row for that right in front of Waddy!

I have a feeling she will play the Sovereign Performing Arts Center this time around and not the Sovereign Center...

:blob1: :blob2: Yesh!! I shall be reunited with my mullet-wearing sistahs at long last! Oh, how I miss Reading after all these years. :p Thanks for the heads up!

I would say that a date at Mohegan Sun and/or the Borgata is almost inevitable after this...

nailatixela 02-04-2008 03:31 PM

YEAH! Thanks, I'm very excited and can't wait to get tickets.

Mad4stevie 02-04-2008 07:01 PM

Any idea on the presale password???

And does it even matter if you participate in the presale??

kathy1 02-04-2008 07:06 PM

that's great news maybe they will add more shows here's hoping.

highwaywomen 02-04-2008 08:45 PM

OMG! I am so there...I am also wondering what the presale password is. How the heck do you get it?

I e-mailed John Kinney...hopefully he'll have some info. It's not even on Nicksfix yet. I just talked to my partner in crime (my Stevie/Lindsey concert bud) and we both think it's kinda strange that this is the only date and it's so random...wonder what's going on??

bucklind17 02-04-2008 09:06 PM

I hope this leads to some NYC or AC dates! Or.... roadtrip? :D Off to google how to get from NYC to Reading...

That can't be true! Surely it's on Nicks Fix by now ...?

Nope...unless I've missed it. I just checked again. Nothing. It's not showing up on Pollstar either. It's the only show listed for her on Ticketmaster's site too. This is just strange...

Not really... Not for the nicksfix, they are usually the last to know. I'm sure though the week, more info will be released. Who knows... Maybe it's just a short spring stint in April.

I'm guessing this will be a full-blown tour again, promoting the Soundstage thing. I agree that more info, and dates, will be released throughout this week and next week. I'm betting the west coast shows will go on sale next week.

The current listed venue holds 9,000 (not sure if that includes the floor, or if that's just for a hockey game). Anyway, that's a pretty big venue. Has anyone seen Stevie there before? Was it set up "half-house" style where only half the venue was used? I'm trying to get an idea of venue sizes she will be doing this time around. (I'm hoping for smaller) ;). A dream come true would be House of Blues!

I don't know, I just don't see Stevie doing yet another full-scale, CV-esce tour again, just to promote a Soundstage DVD with a slightly different set-list. Unless the accompanying CD that she was recording in Nashville with Joe Thomas has some new tracks on it. If it's only for the DVD, and nothing "new", it may just be a short stint, like 10 shows or so, but i guess we just have to wait until more dates are released.

GardenStateGirlie 02-04-2008 10:48 PM

in response to just this date being known and speculation of further dates in the area...i would say it's probably likely that there is more than one concert producer for this tour. i know the reading, pa date is being produced by livenation. i would suspect if stevie performs at the tweeter or the wachovia center, it will also be produced by livenation.

i also know that 102.9 wmgk will be giving away tickets for the aforementioned concert in the near future.

The CV tour was full scale? The original tour itinerary was only a month long. It was the smallest tour shes ever done. All the other dates that trickled after were not part of the original tour. Im sure it will be exactly like the CV tour. Waddy already said there would be more touring this year. Shes trying to bang out as much as she can before FM calls her back.

IMO, the CV tour was extensive for what it was, a greatest-hits tour with a few changes from the Gold Dust Tour set-list (also a best-of tour), so for what it was worth, i thought it was a bit long.

I thought it was too short. She actually had something to promote and barely did 20 shows for it. I mean the Gold Dust tour was longer and she had nothing out. I don't know...apples and oranges I suppose. Just hoping she comes back to MA!

Nope, Mama done filled the Sovereign Center to capacity last time for TISL. Endstage setup with a full floor. I was very, very proud of her that night- and I think she was very happy at the capacity crowd as well.

To be honest, I really hope that she stays off the road this year and works in the studio... on something. Anything. But then again... maybe we just need to learn to accept that the pendulum has swung fully into oldies act :distress: and just appreciate her for just being out there working. Oh, how I miss the words "This is a song from the new album..."

That's the big fish I'm waiting to fry for next year. I've already started saving money for it.

highwaywomen 02-05-2008 12:03 PM

I called Sovereign Center and they have no information about the presale (she told me to check with the Fan Club LOL) and no information about an opening act. They seemed as clueless as I am.

Anyone having any luck coming up with a password for Thursday?

Maccafan5000 02-05-2008 01:54 PM

I called as well, seems as though everyone is in the dark about the password.

Hopefully something will turn up SOON!!

She was the first performer to play there after the Sovereign Center opened. 9/8/01. You're right, she sold it out.

WildHeart69 02-05-2008 09:27 PM

Yeah, she sold out the Sovereign Center as its Premier Act....but I really dont think that sales will be through the roof for this one...(I REALLY hope I am wrong though!)

main reason: Scranton show last summer didnt even sell out of the reserved seating and let everyone in the lawn seats move into one of the Reserved seats!! EVERYONE! it was pathetic and I felt really bad... she didnt even sell out the Tweeter Center with Chris Issak (They upgraded many people in the lawn from that one too)

Like I said, I really hope I am wrong, but most acts are in the Performing Arts Center lately ie, Heart, Billy Idol, Pat Benatar, etc but we will see

vivfox 02-05-2008 10:27 PM

The most fantastic double bill ever would be Heart opening for Stevie Nicks. They'd prolly sell out all the big buildings then.

DJM 02-06-2008 07:40 PM

presale

hi everyone, i found this link at 99.9

http://www.999thehawk.com/page.php?page_id=12568

it says they go on sale tomorrow through the presale at 10 am and the password is STEVIE.

diane

kathy1 02-06-2008 07:49 PM

i would probably go if it was heart and stevie nicks. that would be a great double bill if they toured together. have they ever toured together before i don't remember if they ever did?

bucklind17 02-06-2008 07:52 PM

I really hope some more dates pop up in the next few days. I'd be much more into trying to get to Reading if I knew it was the only area date, but knowing that AC/NYC/CT could pop up is making me hesitate going for this.

kathy1 02-06-2008 07:55 PM

i can't wait i hope that she comes back to atlantic city.i have seen her there a few times and it would be great to see her again.
