I actually have another Japanese Rumours tourbook, but that one is just the regular book all in Japanese writing. It's kinda cool to see (at least I think so :D )

I used to have the Australian one, but the entire book wasn't Fleetwood Mac if I remember correctly. I just remember not being impressed with it and I sold it on eBay eons ago. I had paid a fortune for it from Wynnco before the internet.

I haven't seen the UK one though...is it just like the US version inside? I know the cover is different.

luv,
Shel

Those are great, Shel. Thanks. :)

I love this "tourbook" -- I wish I had my own copy, but I'm not in the buying mode for Fleetwood Mac memorabilia.

Do you guys know anything about the logistics here? How could this booklet have been available to people who went to the Japan concerts, if it's filled with live photos from the Japan concerts? Is it possible that these shots were taken in the weeks prior to the Japan gigs? They're all dressed & coiffed & lit exactly the way they were in Japan (or of what we've seen of Japan on video), but I suppose it's possible that the shots could have been taken in November instead of December. The other possibility is that these booklets weren't sold at the Japan shows, but afterward at some point -- sort of like the Best Buy CDs in 1997 & 1998. You went to the concert & signed up for your booklet.

Unfortunately for a few of us, there are practically no shots of Christine McVie because Stevie Nicks is hogging the photos.

I have the UK one and it is slightly different...... I'd have to look through it again but it isn't as square and I think there are some different pics in it but nothing earth shattering if I remember correctly ;) One of these days I'm going to figure out how to get my scanner set back up  Any advice out there?? We switched to Windows Vista and now I can't get my scanner to work!

Thanks for posting these. I've only seen copies of the Japanese tour book in the past.

Hmm, don't know too much about Vista. I know my husband uses it on his machine, but I'm still running XP on mine and that's where the scanner is hooked up. Good luck!

thanks for posting...have never seen this version of the tourbook. however, i'm a bit confused...these pics look like they're FROM Japan. how could they give tourbooks out at the concerts in Japan with pics from those concerts? i'm guessing they were offered after the shows at some point?

I was wondering the exact same thing.

Thanks for posting- I love the collage pictures. The one spread across two pages connected by the moon backdrop with the setlist on the right would make a killer poster.

That's the exact same thing that happened to me! I have the book too, but I can't scan it. I do have a few saved on the computer that I'll post in a minute though.

I am seriously jealous Shel, I'd love this book! It's the only one I'm missing. Thanks so much for posting the scans though, you are awesome!

OH wow, I really need to pick this one up! I always though that Stevie pick was from the Rumours songbook (which I also don't have yet).

Thanks for posting

Shel, remember that there are TWO Rumours songbooks, both published in 1978. You want the one that was published FIRST because it has dozens of extra photos by Herb Worthington, Sam Emerson, Sharon Weisz, Bill Pastenbauch (named missspelled as Panstenbach), Paul Canty, Eddie Garrick & Lynn McAfee.

So be sure to track down the correct version.

Wait, I thought there were 4? Or do you mean 2 UK versions?

I'm aware of only two: one Warner Bros. Publication & the other I believe Warner subsidiary Columbia Pictures or something.

What four are you referring to?:blob1::angel:

UK, US, Australia and Japan versions.
The UK and US tourbooks have differend covers, but both pictures are from the same photoshoot, appereantly the UK version is slightly differend inside from the US version.
I don't know how the cover of the Japan looks, but inside pics are obviously differend.
The australia book had a picture from a 1976 Sam Emerson photoshoot on the cover with an orange boarding and from what I've seen the inside looks also differend from the others.

I think he was referring to the Rumours songbook, not tourbooks. I didn't realize there were two versions, I'll have to keep an eye out when I go to get one and make sure it's the right version. Yikes!

The cover of the Japanese book is the very 1st photo and the back cover is the very last one I posted. It's kinda small in size and rectangle shaped. I paid about $150 on eBay for it and have only ever seen two others for sale since I started collecting in 1994.

I also have the White album songbook, which has a bunch of photos. I haven't seen that one for sale much either. In fact, later today, I'll try to scan it and start a new thread.

luv,
Shel

Yes I meant the songbook folios. You have to buy the FIRST one in order to get all the photos. I can scan those if you want.

That'll be great! The only White album songbook I have is doubled up with "Heroes." A couple of pics in it, but I always wondered whether there was a stand-alone release of it when it went to No. 1.

Not counting all the anthologies & general folios, these are the album songbooks I have:
  • Bare Trees (which, for some reason, includes music for "Jewel Eyed Judy," "Station Man" & "Tell Me All the Things You Do")
  • Mystery to Me
  • Heroes Are Hard to Find (combined)
  • Fleetwood Mac (combined)
  • Rumours
  • Tusk
  • Fleetwood Mac Live
  • Mirage
  • Tango in the Night
  • Greatest Hits
  • Behind the Mask
  • The Dance

Solo album songbooks:
  • Law & Order
  • Bella Donna
  • The Wild Heart
  • Rock a Little
  • The Other Side of the Mirror
  • Timespace

Movie soundtrack songbooks:
  • Against All Odds (Violet & Blue)
  • Streets of Fire (Sorcerer)

And single sheet music for some things that never appeared in a folio:
  • Slow Dancing (Go Insane)
  • Go Insane (Go Insane)
  • Got a Hold on Me (Christine McVie)
  • Magnet & Steel (Not Shy)
  • Tubular Bells (Theme from The Exorcist)

A lot of these have photos in them that didn't appear with the original album packaging, but several of these (like the Timespace songbook) reproduce only the pics on the album sleeves & covers.

I don't think there were songbooks published for the following:
  • Say You Will
  • Street Angel
  • Trouble in Shangri-La
  • Go Insane
  • Out of the Cradle
  • Under the Skin
  • Christine McVie
  • The Visitor
  • I'm Not Me
  • Shakin' the Cage

There may have been a folio published for "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," but I've never found or even heard of one. Same for "Boys on the Side," "Practical Magic" or "American Anthem."

There's a Go Insane songbook, it was listed on Ebay a while ago, I saved the pic because I'm collecting the pictures from that photoshoot:

See my post in the Lindsey forum where I posted that photo bigger. That's just the single sheet music, not the folio for the entire album. Man, if there were a songbook for the whole album, I would want it! I'm dying to see how something like "Play in the Rain" is notated (it probably isn't -- there's no way to notate something like that on staff).
