If you could pick two or three bands to reunite . . .
If you could pick two or three bands THAT YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE to reunite for a one-time show who would it be?
time-frame and death are not obstacles, so you could pick someone like janis joplin, the doors or britney. mine (after just some quick thoughts, so this could change or grow) would be The Who (all original members thank-you), jimi hendrix and the Mamas and Papas. :D |
The Doors.
The Beatles. In that order. :wavey: |
Queen
The Beatles Simon and Garfunkel Alice in Chains |

The Beatles - as long as the 'screaming-girls' weren't aloud to be there too. :p Simon and G - Woo hoo -saw them in Pittsburgh on my birthday in the 80's. it was at the football stadium and i had a mid-way back floor seat. They started and there was this terrible echo coming off the backwall. I mean TERRIBLE. I moved off the floor and accross the stadium from the stage and it was sheer bliss. Alice in Chains. - can't say i know them well enough. and thanks for playing along jannie. :xoxo: |

and i want to throw out an odd one, but i would like to see a show by glenn miller band (or any of the big bands really). my dad was such a fan that it was about all he listened to in the car. As i grew up i really appreciated that i knew of this music and think it would be fun to go back in time and get to see them at their peak. |

1. Redbone. Oh to hear them reunite & hear Come & Get Your Love & Witch Queen of New Orleans live! 2. Fleetwood Mac, circa 1973. Does this count? I'd love to hear that incarnation reunite & play all the old classics, like Sands of Time, Show Me a Smile, Dragonfly, The Derelict, Woman of 1000 Years, Did You Ever Love Me. I'd love to see that Stockton show, where they got pelted with tear gas cannisters! 3. Bucky McNix & his old band. Yes, it would be great to see these guys (or you guys) reunite for a full-length performance of all the grand old Mac classics, like Fireflies & Go Your Own Way!! I'd grab my little red organ & hop up onstage to join in. Yes, indeed, I refer to my Nord Electro digital, which successfully mimics the B3 with Leslie, as well as the Fender Rhodes, the Wurlitzer & the Hohner clavinet. http://www.jrrshop.com/images/images...delectro73.jpg That would be FUN. |

i think this is a great idea - i would love to hear (most of) future games for this show. i say most because 'show me a smile' has always left me flat. but i think i know why. I have always loved chris's songcrafting but i heard her more developed stuff first and i really connected to it. This song in particular shows me how far she has come but it is a bit boring for me. :sorry: Quote:
gay pride 2008 oregon style.:D i'll have to learn fireflies though.;) on edit: and the nord sounds awesome. ;) |

The Jimi Hendrix Experience. That's all. One show. All-nighter. I'm easy to please.

I would say the Police, but that already happened.... Rumours era Fleetwood Mac would be #2 and QUeen (with Freddie) is a tie for me. Hmm...and my guilty pleasure... Journey with Steve Perry. |
