Poll: Hypothetical Job Interview Test
You have applied, and are in the final three applicants for a writing position at Rolling Stone Magazine.
They have told you and the other two applicantsthat in an upcoming issue there will be a huge feature (many articles and pictures) on fleetwood mac and their entire musical history. One of the articles will be asking various mac members three questions about their time in fleetwood mac. Your assignment is to pick a fleetwood mac member and ask them three questions. You will be judged by how much NEW and fresh information the questions reveal as well as your eyebrows. A cushy job is riding on it. You may want to pick your fave member but will that get you the job? Okay - who would you pick and what would be your three questions? **note: if you select bekka/dave mason or billy/rick or jeremy/danny, then please specify which ONE you are picking for your questions. I grouped them together because you can only have ten options in the poll. Same goes for a former mac member who i haven't listed. You can still pick them just say so. **note #2: i pondered and pondered where oh where this thread belonged since it spans all of f. mac's incarnations . . . so i chose chit chat. Maybe i should do a seperate poll about where it belongs? :) |
Seriously? Seriously??? You want me to participate?

I would definitely ask Stevie what the HELL her deal is playing the same damn songs OVER and OVER and OVER, and how she isn't bored out of mind doing so and afraid of becoming just another oldies act with no current relevance whatsoever (oh, wait, has this already happened ) I would ask Lindsey what the HELL he is thinking screwing with his perfectly fine vocals when he makes records...SUD live is amazing; the album is embarrasing :distress: Oh sorry those don't really follow the rules, those 2 things just came to mind :sorry: :wavey: Adam |

Stevie, duh.
1 - how does it feel to look back at performances of Rhiannon from the 70s and 80s? what goes through your mind as you watch. 2 - what were some of the songs seriously considered to appear on Bella Donna and why were some cut from the album? do you plan to ever release a boxed set of demos? 3 - since you come from privilege and only really lived paycheck to paycheck for a short time before heading back into a life of privilege, do you think that has affected your writing, performance, relationship towards fans and sense of reality? |
^ lard on #3's tard. that's a great question.

I pick...wait for it...wait for it...Lindsey! Shocker, I know. ;)
1. There are moments when you perform live and you’re elbow deep into a guitar solo that you seem to go to another place…where exactly do you go? 2. Your albums always seem to carry a theme or two of some kind. Your 2006 release, Under The Skin, was an album that carried many themes, but mainly, healing and moving forward with one’s life. Can you give us a few details as to the theme of your upcoming 2008 release? 3. When is the official 2007 Fort Worth DVD with ALL the songs included PLUS bonus footage going to be released?!?!?! You’re killing us!!! |

I've heard like 4 people use this in the past couple days and I know I've heard it, but can't remember where! |

Stevie:
1. Hey Stevie, are you going to ever, like, change your setlist? Pretty please, will you? With sugar on top? 2. Can I be the love of your life for the next 5 minutes, or until your next magazine interview? 3. Do you have a large personal collection of photographs of yourself, and if you do, can I take them home and scan them? Lindsey: 1. Is it true that you can perform the I'm So Afraid solo in a double frappachino B-chord minor fret on a Fender Stratocaster while segueing in cycles backwards without a fingerpick? 2. What does it feel like to have a platform boot jammed up your rear end? 3. Have you ever started something and not finished it? Mick: 1. Can you show me how to make my eyes bulge outwards like you do? 2. I need someone to be the drummer in my Grandpa's funeral parade. Got a day to spare? 3. Have you ever driven a Cadillac Fleetwood, owned a Fleetwood RV, visited Fleetwood in Lancashire, or knew anybody who served aboard the HMS Fleetwood during World War II? John: 1. How does it feel to be completely unrecognized for more than 40 years? 2. No seriously. The band your in is partially named after you, has sold 80 million albums, and no one knows who the hell you are. Doesn't that make you feel like ****? 3. Have you ever thought of punching anyone else in the band out of jealous rage? |

ok - I am here with John McVie talking about his many years with Fleetwood Mac. John, I have a few questions, and the answers better be wordy and good cos a cushy job is riding on this. Got it? ok 1. You have worked with many different songwriters in your tenure in The Big Mac, can you give us some insight into the different way you approached your bass parts for the different composers? 2. Have you ever seriously considered quitting the band and if so, was it more a specific incident or more a build-up of incidents that contributed to you wanting to leave? 3. How many times over your career in Fleetwood Mac have you thought quietly to yourself, " There comes a time in every band mate's life where they actually kinda deserve to get punched in the head. Just sayin'."? |

HEY!!!!11 - you stole my question that i stole from sarah - lol  good questions - and i really like john's number 2 question |
