no. there isn't going to be an images forum.

We don't need an images forum, because unlike Seven Wonders, The Ledge has no restrictions on posting pics in any of the forums.

What happened to it????? :confused: This forum is also for sale.....what is a Stevie fan supposed to do????????? Stevie has been out there performing for her fans.....in the media eye alot more......No. 2 Standback on Billboard Dance Club Play......she is HOT lately!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i don't know what happened? hopefully it will be back up soon. or another one could pop up somewhere.

The one thing I really liked about 7W was that it made it very easy to add to my demo/outtake collection. Good thing I mostly got everything I wanted if it's history.

I got quite a few rare photos over there...ones that were not posted here until people saw them there. Lots of Hi Res. and photo agency pics without the watermarks. One or two posters also shared a bunch of rare pics. That was one good thing about the place. :lol:

But, if ya'll don't want an images forum here, we will have to deal.

I can't imagine that there will be any changes until the sale of the site goes through.

You can all raid my photobucket if you want. I have a feeling it won't be getting much bigger after The Wizard changed my password and won't let me sign in to 7W. :rolleyes:

people share photos here :shrug: i don't think it was the images forum that brought all those rare photos to 7w, it was the people.

It was the people and most of the people that posted the rare pics over there, do not post here. I am fine with no images forum here, but I will miss the photos that were shared on Seven Members. Most of my rarer photos came from that board...thats all I was saying. Personally and this is just my opinion, but I do not think people post photos here, like they did on that particular forum. That was pretty much the only thing I liked about SM...the images that were shared. :nod:

I'm sorry to be rude, but this is the second time you have said this, and how many people have to say that is a HORRIBLE idea, for you to stop suggesting it?
NO ONE thought that was a good idea the first time you said it, nor do they now.
If you are kidding, it wasn't funny the first time, nor is it now.
I hope the "other" board is gone, and done, and we would never have to hear about "it" again, I know everyone is VERY bored with the place still being dragged around...Good Riddance.
I am even sorry to mention it again, but I just get tired of this stupid "merge 7 members & the ledge" posts. YAWN.
I just hope the Ledge continues in the same fashion the owners have been doing for years, purchased by some one or ones who have good thoughts and plans for it :)

Two problems.

1-People don't donate NOW. Look at the list of sponsors. There's not a lot of people supporting this site, now or ever. It's always been Marty and Lis that carried the burden. And this site has always been totally open to everyone, without having to "join up" to read it (like the Leg Board), or to see the pretty pictures/or listen to the demos (like 7 Wonders), etc. You could join in the Q&As without being a member of "The Ledge." This site has truly been for the fans. It's never been about egos. And yet the owners have every right to be proud of what has been accomplished here.

2-It's not about saving just The Ledge, the "board" portion of the website. It's about saving the entire Penguin site.

That and the demo section, yes, agreed. :nod: That's was pretty much the only reasons I went to that board. But at least i got what I got when it was available.

Just curious - exactly how much does it cost to have these websites and boards and such? Like just a ball park figure......

The owners here said it was like a "utility bill"...so a couple of hundred dollars a month for server rental. That wouldn't include acquisition costs or programming upgrades. Anybody know more?

I meant donate to purchase the site up front. (kind of like a group investment) And of course if you donate to purchase upfront, you would want to donate to keep your investment running. To me, The Ledge and Penguin are the same thing, so I just didn't mean the message board, I meant the whole site, because without the Penguin, there is no Ledge. Kind of like an investment in our fandom for anything Fleetwood Mac to keep the community going strong and still remain open to everyone.

The reason I am proud of this board is the fact that the operators did not stipulate a fee to join. I meant no disrespect to Marty and Lisa, quite the opposite. They should be very proud of The Penguin and am sad at the idea of it disappearing. :(

I apologize beforehand if this is a stupid question, but why all this hostility between SW and The Ledge? We´re all FM fans after all and I don´t see why there shouldn´t be room for both. Personally I like both sites and I check in everyday to see if anything new has happened, so I would be very sad to see any of them go down for good.
I´m not saying that I like or agree with everything that is posted over there (SW) OR here for that matter, but if there´s a thread or something else I don´t like I just stay away from it. I really think it´s as simple as that.
Anyway, these are just my thoughts on the subject so please don´t kill me!:)

"The Wizard" shut it down with as much respect and sympathy as he considers to be necessary towards the persons who were loyal members of his board for the past few months and years; and with the same amount of consideration which he has shown to Fleetwood Mac, Stevie and Lindsey fans as he has demonstrated in the past.

Is there any chance for it to start up again????? Not really fair to all the members...I really looked forward ,everyday,to reading and participating in that forum....as I do this forum. If these forums are gone it isn't fair to the Mac fandom. We appreciate the time and effort it takes to keep these forums running !!!!! It is sad to see them both go!!!!!! Thanks for explanation. There is not much left for a Mac fan on the web. The Nicks fix could be more up to date........Stevie Nicks Info. Is GREAT!!!!!!!!
