Another leg for CV tour?

Jana's calendar lists a show with Stevie Nicks on August 18th at Irvine Meadows. Wonder if another leg is being planned? And please, let's not even bother playing the "I wonder if there will be any additions to the setlist game." :D

Musicman408 07-09-2007 06:36 PM

I have no idea. I think she needs to take a break though. She deserves some rest.

MacMan 07-09-2007 06:51 PM

August 18th?

Shouldn't the tix be on sale already.. It's just over a month away...

interesting....

kathy1 07-10-2007 07:21 AM

i heard that she might be adding more shows in the fall. i haven't seen anything listed for the 18th of aug anywhere.

jkmaletic 07-10-2007 07:49 AM

I called the venue and they said they had some kind of radio gig with ZZ Top scheduled that day. Venues have been wrong before though...
Although, like someone already said, tickets probably would have been on sale by now if it was Stevie.

If this show is happening, I'm there because it's my favorite venue.

She probably could use a rest...she's been touring a lot lately...although if she does do another leg of this tour, it wouldn't hurt for her to come visit PA...

Thank you so much for coming to Pittsburgh on this tour, Stevie.

I was gonna see her if she came around...and she didn't...so my ticket money bought me tickets to go see Rush.

Oh, it was amazing. The band looked like they were having quite a bit of fun and they rocked, too. The place (Post Gazette Pavilion) was packed to it's limits, it seemed.

So yeah...Stevie doesn't come, I go see another band...simple forumla. ;)

She skipped over quite a bit of the U.S. on this tour, like the Pacific NW. I think a 2nd leg is in order. Why does she need a break? She's only been on tour since mid-May.

She needs a break. Artists her age and older aren't playing 2-3 night stands in a row like she is.

It's sponsored by JackFM, the radio station. I'm going to the one here in Nashville. It would be absolutely amazing if she came to that one...

I agree John... I would think she needs a break and some rest... She has been touring almost non-stop since the 'Say You Will' tour... And plus I don't look for her to schedule any shows during the first part of August anyway... because the 2 year anniversary of her fathers death is coming up, around August 11th...? And I noticed that last year when she was touring with Tom Petty during the Summer... She took off that week in August and then resumed back with Tom Petty a week later after August 11th... She should take a break and go to Hawaii, and do some writing.

It also says on Stevie info that besides headlining this festival in CA w/ zz top there's a date in NJ right after! What the heck is she doing coming all the way back to the East coast after wrapping up her tour out west?? That's great if she did but I think its strange, plus she needs a break at this age~ maybe she's heading over seas for a few?

Yeah, she's scheduled to come back to the Borgata in Atlantic City on August 24th I think. Hope she does more east coast shows.

kathy1 07-22-2007 07:12 AM

i hope she does also. i would like to see her again maybe if tickets aren't too expensive.

I also thought this was rather bizarre. So here's my theory...

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is scheduled to play their only concert of the year at the Hampton Social Concert Series at the Ross School in East Hampton, NY. Supposedly it's a benefit for the Ross School scholarship fund (a very, very elite private school, of course)... but I suspect the performers (like Dave Matthews, Prince, Billy Joel, etc...) are probably getting paid mucho $$$. Anyway, TP&H is slated for August 25, and lo and behold, Stevie is going to be in AC the night before, which means it would be easy for her to make a cameo appearance in East Hampton the following evening. She probably figured, hey, since I'll be flying out for Tom anyway, I may as well make some coin to offset the hair, makeup and entourage expenses. AC was probably just the most convenient/available venue in the northeast to book at the last minute. Also, remember how a few years ago she did a show in Southampton, NY with Roger Waters (and Don Henley?) for some dopey tennis club benefit concert. Only in the Hamptons...

Even without Stevie I would love to attend TP&H (and it's only a few miles from my new house :p ). But tickets are $3,000 each  , and you have to buy the entire five-concert series for $15,000! Well, maybe I can park on the shoulder of Rte. 114 and hope I can hear something...

WildHeart69 07-23-2007 11:07 AM

I got a pair of 6th row Right/Center seats for the Borgata show the day they went onsale.... show #4 for this summer! read on the new Keyboardists website a month or so ago that they are having a "Few Stevie dates sprinkled in throughout the summer" or somthing of that nature... but it is really random...
