Next Stevie endeavor: which would you choose?

I admit it, I'm bored.

If there were only 4 choices for Stevie's next endeavor, which would you choose? Note that I have excluded the choices that most of us would select (new album plus tour).

Rickypt 07-07-2007 05:09 PM

I chose new solo album with no tour and so far I am winning. :woohoo:

Tango 07-07-2007 05:27 PM

That's all we get for choices? C'mon, Ryan! I want a new solo album AND a revamped tour! Even if it's only a short 2 month tour. I'd want to hear something from it LIVE. Lindsey's going to be busy putting out his own new album and touring behind it. I can't see Stevie doing nothing for 1 1/2 years!

Yeah, yeah. Your game and your rules. Okay, I'll go with a new solo album and no tour. I'll vote.

I know...we all do and that would make it a boring poll. And thanks for playing the game anyway. :woohoo:

Sahara 07-07-2007 05:35 PM

Europe.

EUROPE EUROPE EUROPE EUROPE EUROPE EUROPE!!!! :blob1: :blob2:

With or without a new album, I don't mind [though obviously with would be lovely].
Just Europe!!

Tango 07-07-2007 05:36 PM

Maybe I voted too hastily. As I reconsider your choices, Ryan, if there is a new Fleetwood Mac album and NO tour, maybe that means Christine gets to participate on her terms. IF that is the case, perhaps I can count on some peeps from the Christine board to vote, and vote often! ;)

Sure, FM album would be with Christine, but NO tour. FM tour with no album would be without Christine. :) Just in my game....

[email protected] 07-07-2007 06:18 PM

Yep, I chose new CD (all new material) and no tour.
All never seen photos in the CD booklet would be good,
like the ones in the CV booklet, I love the old outtakes....

JazmenFlowers 07-07-2007 06:52 PM

all I am asking of Stevie is a new album and I'll never complain ever again. just one more.

haha yes you will!!! :D

Macfanforever 07-07-2007 09:14 PM

None above. New album with new material from the million demos she has written, The ones we all have in our demos collections, plus a tour with new songs.also a bonus dvd with all the videos that did not make the CV dvd.Hum I hope Stevie keeps on needling Christine to come out
tour and record with FM, that will be a big bonus..

Rickypt 07-07-2007 09:50 PM

None of the above is not an option.

The question is if you had to choose among only 4 options, which would you choose? Trying to find out if people would choose new recorded music even if it meant no tour or if they would prefer the same old setlist tours if that meant no recorded music.

Oh I'm sorry about that.I cast my vote.I must be tired.

michelle2677 07-07-2007 10:27 PM

i'm the person going against the grain. I said another tour :o

I just saw her for the first time solo this week, so I'm kinda new to it. maybe after seeing the same setlist a ziillion times, we can have another one and I'll change my vote :)

darklinensuit 07-08-2007 01:52 AM

What, no option for selling small appliances at J.C. Penney?! ;)
Guess I'll go with the solo album. Nothing else listed comes close for me, actually.

Musicman408 07-08-2007 05:50 AM

I would go with the new album, because I know that eventually she'll want to be back out on the road.

carrie721 07-08-2007 08:17 AM

out of these options i chose new album because she has such a gigantic backlog it's utterly ridiculous that she hasn't released an album in 6 years. however i wouldn't blame her for never going back out on the road or returning to FM.

my real dream, since she doesn't seem interested in her GIGANTIC BACKLOG OF MATERIAL ( ) or in writing new songs is for her to do some collaborations with artists who are still interested in writing songs. that picture from a while back of her with neil young, mick jagger, and stephen stills made me plotz repeatedly. can you imagine? oy. but knowing stevie she'd end up doing some lame top 40 duet with rob thomas :distress:

if i can't have any of that though i would just want stevie to learn how the goddamn internet works so she can quiet bleating about how evil it is and start using it to her advantage.

 I like that Carrie.

i would like her to release another cd.

any further thoughts on that? could you elaborate for us?

catinthedark 07-08-2007 11:04 AM

out of those options, i'd take a new FM album - rumours line up, please.
if i can't have that, a new stevie album - produced by lindsey. :o

oh. on edit: that might not be so good. they'd probably kill each other without the others around to mediate.

but what i'd really prefer would be that memoir stevie's been thinking of writing since the day she was born.

hell yeah. i'll ghost write. i'll go equipped with jager and patron - no self-censoring for stevie.

yeah, but you'd have to make sure she ONLY writes the positive things about her and lindsey. oh, and make sure she says they will one day get back together. and admit they are still in love today. and never did drugs. and really, never had any other relatonships in their lifetimes that compared to theirs.

oh, and that lindsey's kids - are really stevie's.

otherwise, you'll be skewered.

Heck yeah -- I'm going with the new FM album!!! To hear my two favorite female singers on ONE album again......

Andrea :)

PS: Concerts are soooo expensive anyway -- I nearly emptied a two-week paycheck seeing Stevie in Youngstown (though I did have a blast!)

Is retirement an option?

Chrislit18 07-08-2007 01:17 PM

I voted new Mac album
I love Stevie solo and all, just I really would like to see if they could get Chris back and what they could do after 10+ years of being without her.

SuzeQuze 07-08-2007 01:25 PM

Stevie solo with a bonus CD of demos including The Dealer with and without Petty. Plus Lady from the Mountain. Julia. And others I cannot think of right now. With a nice booklet of unreleased old pictures and some blurbs about the demos like on TimeSpace. And some new photos. :-D Also a thank you to her dyed-in-the-wool fans.

ryan8472 07-08-2007 02:42 PM

I want a new rock n' roll album from FM, with Christine. Enough with the soft stuff, lets see if they've still got it. And then I want a US tour. New setlist. The whole nine yards, etc... Market it as their final tour or whatever. It would be huge. And we deserve it. ;)

I agree. She could play:

Rome, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam or Rotterdam, Dublin, Manchester , Glasgow and then 2 or 3 nights in London. It's not many places really so it wouldn't cost too much and she'd sell out probably. COME ON STEVIE!

Add Belfast to that list, by the way :D

That's it. There doesn't need to be a tour, but those "million" songs deserve wider exposure. And what better way would there be to do that than to record some of them for a new album?

Please bring back David Kahne as producer. Or maybe Sheryl. But please keep out blandmeister Shanks. Thanks. Stevie Nicks records need to sound crispy, not bland.

It's not as if it would take an absolutely huge effort. These songs are already written; she could go eeny meeny miny mo and pull out 11 or 12 and they'd be well received.

My Grandparents live in Belfast. I could drag them along....LMAO...*visions G'parents at Stevie gig*

Blondie85 07-08-2007 09:52 PM

I voted for a new FM album & tour without Christine.Who really needs her anyway? She's retired and why would anyone want her to tag along with the rest of the band with her long face and bad moods. Say You Will & the following tour was Fantastic without Christine, she ought to pray that Lindsey will invite her for the next FM project.

I voted (and dreamed) about having a FM album and no tour. No tour means Christine must be involved. One last hurrah.
