I'm quickly losing faith in the human race
okay. so what the hell is wrong with people?
I had a patient come in today. She lives out in the country and her neighbor was robbed saturday. It was apparently someone the guy knew because they knew to bring certain things to get into the house. (not keys, but they knew they would have to cut pad locks off, etc.) Oh, did I mention that in the meantime, they killed the guy's 3 dogs? 2 rottweilers (10 and 7) and then his 7 month old australian shepherd. Shot all 3 of them. Didn't find the cash they were looking for, but took guns. All I have to say is if someone ever hurt murray or max, they better hope the cops get to them first  I'm really needing some help here finding much that is going right in this world. Guess I need a little cheering up because that has really got me down :( :distress: |
^^
That is horrible. I always worry so much about Clancy - people are so cruel. A few years ago a man I used to house-sit/dog-sit for was robbed, well his house was. Zeke (the dog) was home at the time and they intruders beat him within an inch of his life. It was horrible - but the vets were able to save him but from then on out he would have nothing to do with strangers - it was so sad. Well that didn't help cheer you up now did it. Sometimes it seems that there is a shortage of good in the world. :distress: |
people who do that **** are F*CKED UP!
you dont hurt innocent animals for no reason  thats even why i hate when my cat is on the porch IN A CAGE because i'm afraid some assbag in the neighborhood will just let her out, and shes in indoor cat, so she might never come back, and to be honest, shes my best friend |

So, did that cheer you up? I just keep all the animals' souls in my heart, and know that it will make me sad sometimes, or a lot, but that is okay, because I'll be happy again - both when I stop thinking about it, and every new time I meet a lovely animal, or see one on TV do something amazing, or when I pet my cats. Wow, that was pretty cheese. But true. |
Thats sooooo sad. :distress: Go hug Murray and Max for us. :xoxo:
|
:( :( :( :( :(
Really, I don't know what else to say. This is a really sad and depressing story. |
****. that is so terrible. call me if you need to - i'll be thinking of you :xoxo:
|
People can do such terrible things. Thankfully there is an opposite end of the spectrum, where people like you give their free time to volunteer for animals. And like most of us, you've brought animals into your home to love and care for.
If there's any justice in this world, the robbers will be reincarnated as Mick's synth vest in their next life. It's the most cruel punishment I can think of. :xoxo: |

Michelle, I am sorry that at time you encounter such A**holes in your life like you did. It's so sad, disturbing and wrong that you just think WTF?!?! Some people in this world are just a waste of sperm and do nothing to contribute to the good of society. It's sad that we have to interact with these people, but we do. I truely hope that you can start feeling better, but I know what disturbing stuff can do to you. We just found out that our Greyhound has cancer and it's all that you can think about for a long time. Like I said, hope you start feeling better soon. And we all love ya. :xoxo: |

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12...rk/newpic1.jpg Well, you cheered me up, and I had a bad day. Naturally that is before I remembered it was Rex Manning Day time. Although they have the look of people who might not eschew a good synth vest thumping. But let us not speculate about that on such a lovely birthday. |
if there's one thing I get worked up about, it's animal abuse.
well...and teeth. er...and denim on denim. oh and eyebrows too. even belly buttons   OKAY OKAY!.. but still. I can't even imagine what that guy is going through right now. If someone wanted anything of mine (not that I have anything lol) but I would be more than happy to do anything for anyone. I'd give them all the money I had, but don't hurt my dogs. I just don't get how people can be so thoughtless. but thanks guys :xoxo: I really am feeling better :) I knew you all would understand. Some people don't. my grandparents don't and I would never be able to tell them that story because they would just piss me off. They wouldn't feel the way I do and I'd get so angry  okay..good thoughts..good thoughts  and I did give the boys big hugs and slurpy kisses!!! :) :) |
okay I'm so lost :o
wtf is rex manning day?? :o :o :o :o |

I'm glad you had someone else to tell. I think the older generation ate pets to survive during the depression, or something. Different perspective. I recall fondly my grandma's diatribe about Will n Grace, and how her best friend in highschool was gay, but they didn't have to talk about it all the time, and why do people on TV (Will n Grace) have to talk about it?! Can't people just be gay without so much discussion on TV?! Do they have to throw it in our faces?!  Quote:

over the last several years, i've toned down my anger quite a bit. i do have to say that i would probably come close to killing someone if they messed with my dog lily, though. i mean, yeah, part of me feels a little bad for saying that, but it's the truth. and then i'd just be sitting in jail, kind of satisfied knowing that the person that killed my dog got ****ed up.. and that i was the one who did it. ugh, i feel all knotted up inside just thinking about it.
people who mess with animals are on the very top of my **** list. it's one thing to screw with people, because humans are kind of assholish anyway, and usually those crimes go punished. but innocent animals? man, that takes a real beast. and people who hunt for sport are up there too.. oh yeah, sure does take a lot of sport to bring down a deer with a thirty ought six from 150 yards, big man. |
i can't fathom hurting an animal, my dog & cat are like family to us & we cherish their every lick!!!~

I go mental when I hear about animals or children being hurt.
This won't make anyone feel better about the human race I don't think but for the fact that these bastards have been identified. Thom, the youngun I last dated, was severely beaten on Fri and put in the hospital. The good news he is okay and is being discharged today. It was a case of mistaken identity and the guys who beat him are screwed. The cops know who they are as do others who they'd I'm sure rather not knew. They jumped him leaving a bar and beat him with bottles and stomped on his head. :( I can't believe anyone would do something like this. He needs his eye socket rebuilt (left brow) and his jaw was broken in multiple places and is wired shut and set to heal. He looks pretty bad with two black eyes and a few stitched up gashes but honestly he looked better than I thought he would. The good news is he is okay and healing. I hope justice is served. And I hope Thom owns that bar and then some after this. On a good kitty note, my roommate took in her late uncle's cat Rambo. He was in a shelter for about 2 weeks but no one else could take him. She was concerned about Mufasa but wound up taking him in. After 2 weeks of keeping them separated we introduced them and they seem to be getting along for the most part. :) |
I have rescued many an animal...and it is truly sickening what some people do to them and often the lack of care given. Once I even found a box of abandoned kittens in a park with one of them having his ambilicle cord growing into the ground like a weed of grass looking for nutrients while his sister stumbled about with her eye sliced wide open. The little boy died that night. :distress: The vet saved the girl and I bottle fed them all until I found each a good home. Some people are sick heartless bastards. :sorry: Michelle...I hope you are feeling a little better today.

I love my animals, though they have caused me to lose what sanity I still had years ago.
On July 3,2005 a stray cat named "Girl" (A bob-cat/calico mix) gave birth to 4 kittens - were still-born but the other 2 were alive, but Girl suffered a massive hemmorage during the births and slowly passed away. I called the vet to ask advice about the 2 kittens, I just could not let them slip away - so after purchasing a kitten feed bottle and some liquid kitten formula I set to task to make sure these 2 kittens survived. I bottle fed my 2 babies (Missy Gail - a black calico and her baby bro Rufus) every 3 hours around the clock for nearly 3 weeks (Had nothing better to do since I was then very ill from the arachnoid cyst). Missy & Rufus slowly gained weight (I have a small food scale to weigh 'em) until our mother cat Patches (The World Infamous "Crack Ho Calico") 'snatched' Missy from my hands, just hours before she gave birth to her second litter of kittens. Patches took in Missy & Rufus and the rest is history (Sadly I had to have Rufus put down due to a disease he developed were his stomach/lungs would constantly fill with liquid - I cried all damn day long over his lost) Missy is STILL my spoiled 'child' - She loves her "Momma-Daddy' |
