Ghosts & Photographs...
Do you believe in ghosts/spirits?
Have you ever taken a photograph that has an orb (round clear sphere) in it? Or something else that is kinda strange and unexplained, that shows up in the photo? |
Not orbs or spirits, but the past couple of days I have had odd experiences with butterflies!
I went outside on my back porch and this one type of butterfly seems to just fly out of the sky and land upon me, takes off to fly, lands again, repeating over-and-over....Maybe a sign from someone watching out for me? Who knows...Just a weird occurrence considering my personal life the past few days  |

Thus far the only thing I have seen out of the ordinary was the pair of wolves I saw back in early winter (I mentioned 'em here - They stopped right in front of my car, looked straight at me then headed for the woods...Almost as if someone was sending me a message from beyond "that things will be alright". First thing that came into my mind was my departed parents, and I had to call my sister Lesa because I was crying as I tried to drive after that encounter.) Here's a link to the "Winchester House", which y'all may find interesting: http://www.winchestermysteryhouse.com/story.html |

I do believe in spirits, but I think that 99.8 % of the video and photographs, including those, are fake. Photos like those are extremely easy to create. Years ago you had to actually burn the second image in using a dark room. Now, just about anyone can use photoshop and get the same, if not better results. |
this was from a different web site this is is wierd
|
I never saw one in any photos I took ..but I did see a ghost once myself.

The car chase one is cool though. :wavey: |
Beh, I am way too cynical to believe in any of that.
the world is for the living only. narrowminded maybe, but, my feel. once you are dead, you are very dead. It's why it's so important to me to make love and life now count. |

(Our office building is haunted and we've seen some weird stuff. Nobody wants to work late. So far nothing mean, just a lonely old man in a lab coat. I am not scared, it just startles me when he's out and about.) anyhow BombaySapphire -- let's hear it! |

That's kind of what happens here....you see the old man in the lab coat, usually as a reflection in the mirror or a window (we have inner offices with windows facing the reception area.) Anyhow I usually spot his reflection in the window or mirror, when I turn to look at him, he slowly dissipates...then my printer will kick out a page of ascii characters. It makes me laugh. One night I was playing some Bob Seger - really loud....Katmandu, I think. He/She/It didn't like it. There was this mist rolling like a ball all over the office....very aggitated-like. I decided to turn the music off and the mist ball went away. Then I started listening through headphones. If I do that...no spirit energy, but if I use the speakers....lost of fog and mist. We also get blinking lights on the walls - like orbs rolling around. Some employees are freaked but I don't see them (spirits/energy/whatever) as threatening. Maybe if I got a filing cabinet flying across the room and smacking me in the head, I'd feel differently... :D |

Yeah, so I watched the thing with the rocking chair, and about pissed my pants. OMG As for ghosts, I don't know where my stance is. If they are real, and I ever saw one, I would probably crap my pants. I wouldn't want to see one for that reason, so I don't know....... |

My home is haunted. I remember telling this story on here before:
A few years ago, late one night while Deb & I watched TV here in the bedroom we saw 'someone' go from our living room into the bathroom....I grabbed my trusted 36" 'weighted' aluminum baseball bat and told Deb to get on her phone and call the local police dept., I crept around the corner ready to knock the crap outta this 'intruder' - but when I entered the bathroom there was not a soul in there other than myself. I used to own a white deaf-mute feline named 'Jai' (pronounced 'Jay') who would chase 'something' only she could see/sense around the house. Jai would chase something playfully this invisible friend throughout the house but always seemed to stop short at the door of the other bedroom of this house. Jai would climb the door and howl at whatever it was that she had chased...Deb & myself learned that residents of this home, in the past, had lost a child, so maybe - just maybe the spectre that Jai saw was this child. |

Another cool Story --- But when you got to the trusted 36" 'weighted' -- I thought for sure you were gonna say gun....then you said baseball bat. I kinda laughed at that one... and then thought -- I gotta get me one! :D The animal story got to me. When I was in college, we read about how animals can see and sense stuff that we can't. (I took this philosphy class and for 6 weeks we tried to prove/disprove ghosts/spirits.) One story featured videotape of a family sitting around eating Thanksgiving dinner. Then the dog got up and went to a corner of the room and started barking. Very slowly a ghostlike/mist imagine appeared and then disappeared. Then Grandma, who was hard of hearing, broke the silence and yelled ... "Who in the Sam Hell was that?" |

U should go see them in person if you're ever in NC. We used to always pull over to see them when I was little. They scared me but I was fascinated!

This should keep you up tonight...
Many, many years ago (1984!) I went on a school trip to France. I was one of those weird kids who never tired of seeing the castles and cathedrals. (Okay, the Folies Bergere was cool, too.) I took picture after picture, roll after roll. Unfortunately, a pickpocket got a bunch of them from me in Paris. Then I almost broke my new camera - my parents would have killed me - when I dropped it waiting for the subway. One of the castles we visited had a tour guide who took us into the dungeon, which still had a chain on the floor. Naturally I was intrigued when he told of the ghost who was still spotted regularly there. After I got home & picked up my developed pictures, there was a really eerie one that freaked all of us out -- this bald white head, with really large dark eyes, and the apparition seemed to be flying towards the camera, taking up almost the whole pic, shrouded in darkness. Two semicircles were at the top of the pic - you couldn't tell what they were, because they were right at the edge of the pic, which was dark. For days we passed around this pic, freaking everybody out with the story of the castle ghost, and everybody wanted a copy of the pic. Then another friend took a look at it and announced that it looked like a nose, and I realized that it was from when I jerked my head back in reaction to dropping the camera near the subway, and the flash had gone off accidentally. The two big dark eyes are my nostrils. Not a case for the ouija board after all. - Jake |
