I hope it lives up to its price!!

Someone on Seven Wonders, who talks to HW, says they were just picked up from the printers and they were going out mid week. So, they just shipped, supposedly. I didn't buy one...they are too expensive. I will get the pics though, from someone who does buy one.
|
I would love to buy one, but can't justify $50 right now. :(

Still no calendar....
I too ordered the calender when the link was 1st posted and have not received it yet, my visa was billed the next day.
I will probably be e-mailing Herbie if I haven't received it by weeks end... He probably was waiting to see how many orders he would get (when the link 1st posted) before printing up hundreds....But the least he should have done was not bill us until the Calender was shipped out. The ordering link says it takes 7-10 days for delivery, well It's been 15 days since I ordered and no calendar.... Should we be worried>?:distress: Maybe we will get them right on June 1st.....where the Calendar begins:cool: |
I'm interested to see all the pics in there. Aren't they supposed to be from Worthington's private collection of never released pics?

I wouldn't worry about not getting it. Herbie is a very reputable photographer. According to 7W, he just got them from the printers because he had some corrections he wanted to make. They supposedly just went out or are going out, by the end of this week. Most places bill your Visa when you purchase something, and then ship.
The photos are supposedly ones we have never seen before, like the blue lit one where she is looking through the tambo and the one where she has that God awful veil around her face....:o I really dislike that one, except for her eyes. I still think it is way overpriced for a calender. Hard Back books about rock bands, that are 300 plus pages with numerous photographs go for an average of $45- $50 bucks. I looked in Barnes and Noble at a Beatles book the other day and I realized just how overpriced this calender really was. |
i am still waiting for my calendar to come.
|
I hope we don't have to wait too long
I bought my 1985 calender used from a Mac/Nicks collector-seller around 1992 and he told me so don't quote me but that when it was produced that Worthington had a few delays and some people ended up getting their calenders late. I am taking the risk and hoping they come in sooner rather than later as those pics in the 85 calendar are some of his most beauttiful works.
|
i can't wait til it comes.
|
I'm going for the covert-ness as well. It's just too much money... :(

I don't want a refund....actually I didn't order one, they are a bit overpriced. However, if I had ordered one, I still wouldn't want a refund. I would just wait...there are photos over on 7W of the printers working on the calender and it looks really cool. Herbie has had some delays, no biggie. He is a professional and it is not like he is going to rip anyone off. It is just taking a big longer than he expected to get them completed and sent out. I love this one photo of Stevie in her glasses....she looks adorable. (again, the photos were posted by Barbara over on Seven Wonders) |
I'm happy to wait longer
