Will you be seeing Stevie this summer, now that we know the set?

Given last night's revelation about the Crystal Visions Tour setlist, will you be seeing Stevie this summer?

carrie721 05-18-2007 10:21 AM

i will if i get a free ticket. ARE YOU LISTENING, MICHELLE???

Rickypt 05-18-2007 10:25 AM

I will not be attending any more CV shows.

catinthedark 05-18-2007 10:27 AM

well, i already have a ticket for one of the solo shows just outside toronto. i decided already that i'm only giong to one show; i'm not driving 5-6 hours to go to multiple shows as i did in past years. why bother?

mikeschmike 05-18-2007 10:39 AM

Hell no. If the vocals are on fire, I'll need a bootleg or two. Other then that, I'm saving my pennies for someone else's fresh material.

Tango 05-18-2007 10:42 AM

I've got tickets to several shows already, so I'm going.

golden braid 05-18-2007 11:02 AM

I've already seen the Concord show but I will not be attending multiple shows like I normally do.

lmao..damn, thanks for the pressure. I'll let my boss know!!

"somewhere in kent, a soul will be crying if you don't buy us tickets!!"

anyway. I'll go, but only to hang out with ledgies. Plus I've never been to a stevie solo, so it's all fresh and new for me

jkmaletic 05-18-2007 11:17 AM

Michelle I LOVE your doggie! (I know I told u before, but they're so CUTE!!)

Anyway, yes I will be attending 2 shows - one is next wed. (San Diego) that I scored front row center on TM for, and the other is a chraity event in Vegas that I scored 2nd row for (for $50 if you can believe that!). Yeah the set list is the same, but I love seeing her live, especially up close,

skuncles 05-18-2007 11:25 AM

Wow, I have to say I am really surprised that going to a concert depends on entirely on the set list and has nothing to do with getting to see the artist. Getting to hear a new song or two is always great, but Stevie is not known for changing things up a lot.
Having said that, yes I'm going, I don't care what she sings, she'll be there. I'll be there. This will be the 8th tour (solo and with the Mac) I've seen of hers in 20 years and wouldn't miss it for the world. For me it's like getting to hang out with an old friend for a few hours.

I get that, but if my "old friend" kept talking about the exact same things every time I visited her, I'd stop going. That would get about as boring as this tour.

ELIUD 05-18-2007 11:41 AM

Yes, I'm going. I've never had enough money to go follow her around the country, so everytime she's in town, I must go. I can't imagine knowing she's just a few miles away while I'm at home pouting about how lame her setlist is. If she's in town - I'm there.

I feel the exact same way. :D

and eliud - i would feel the same way if she were going to be playing blossom (about 15 min from me) and i could get some cheap lawn tix. but the closest venue she's playing is about an hour away, and even the cheap tix are too expensive.

GarboSpeaks! 05-18-2007 04:24 PM

I am planning on 2 more shows. Whether they pan out or not, I have to wait and see. Thereafter, I doubt I'll follow her around much anymore. Likely if she does ever come out again, I'll just go locally, and even that will kill me. I'm like others where I can't imagine not going if she is in my own back yard, but multiple shows of the same thing w/in a week of each other is getting old. I'm not bitching so much, as expressing my sadness that it has come to this. I've had my run, had a great time, but in the ticket & travle costs for a mere 3 shows, I could go to Australia. Really. Airfare is $444 each way. That's 2 1/2 shows add gas costs ( ) and merchandise. I mean really...what am I doing?!?!?!

Well, I would travel to see her. The last time I did was for the Mask Tour. I hate traveling. So I understand.

JazmenFlowers 05-18-2007 05:07 PM

hell to the naw.

unless, by some miracle of miracles the stars align and I'm able to go for nearly free...or she suddenly changes things up somehow.

foxyluva 05-18-2007 05:08 PM

If by chance she comes to NZ again, I might go - but I won't spend $250 on a ticket like I did last time...

Not by choice. I might inadvertantly stumble into a venue where she's performing at some point, you just never know. Life is full of mysteries. But, her set list will not be the deciding factor.

I thought that since you're NOT American so you automatically MAKE twice as much as we do. So really you ONLY have to pay half. Quit WHINING, foreigner!

 :xoxo:

DrummerDeanna 05-18-2007 05:13 PM

I keep looking for tickets on TM, if a front row pops up I don't know that I'll be able to resist. If not, then I'm not going. I really shouldn't, I'm moving next month and a friend is in town next week...so there are more important things to do with my funds.....

Musicman408 05-18-2007 05:13 PM

Yeah, I'm going. My family and I have never seen La Nicks solo, so the whole thing is fresh and new for us, although it would have been nice if she would have added some special goodies for the audience.... Oh well.

I will go to the ones I have tickets for already...which is two shows. I was planning on doing another two with some other people but I am putting the kaybosh on that idea. I am not driving a few states away to see the same ole thing I have seen ten times already. Gas is too high, the tickets are high, I would have to miss work. I have done it many times in the past and I am sad it has come to this. Unless FM tours or she adds a few new songs, I will only do the shows right near me.

I noticed that brokers have significantly dropped their ticket prices for certain shows. Also, I was getting the "no tickets available that match your request" message for certain shows and now pretty good seats are suddenly available. Brokers dumping already?? The seats are not front row yet or anything but they are center and in the first 12 rows. It really makes me wonder how ticket sales are going.

BombaySapphire3 05-18-2007 10:15 PM

I saw her last night ..I'm not big on traveling but if she comes to the Bay area or Sac I'll probably go again ..The set list doesn't really bother me now that I realize the show is a cabaret act and not a rock concert.

I haven't checked that one....it is pretty far from me. (well, I would drive it if she was doing an amazing set) I will check it out and let you know if something great pops up. How many tickets do you need for Mohegan?

Josh2003 05-18-2007 11:42 PM

I was contemplating going to the Youngstown show, but was waiting to hear the setlist before I bought anything.

Now I think I'll be saving my hard-earned money for Rufus Wainwright in August.

I don't think you've ever known this- but, I've loved you from afar. Not in a pervy way- just.... you're a good man.

Lucky bitches. Rufus isn't coming anywhere near me. :(

This thread is exactly the reason why Stevie needs to bring her old show to people who haven't seen it before: Europe!

Absolutely! Come here Stevie, we aren't on strike yet!

I am going to 7 Stevie shows this summer. Don't you think that Stevie doesn't know that people have heard If Anyone Falls and How Still My Love because she thought they were just a Vegas crowd?

Oh, Kelly and Jimmy, I saw Rod Stewart at Mohegan last night( a three hour drive, which I will do for Stevie at Mohegan) and tickets are almost sold out at the box office-she's all over the mohegan and they had a trailer for her before Rod came on, she could only get me one ticket in the back of section 23)

Ticket sales are doing pretty well this tour:thumbsup:

Just 2. If you see anything, let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.
