FMac Star on Walk of Fame
 

I almost forgot that I took pictures of the star, once I found it. unfortunately, I had forgotten my camera so these were taken on my cellphone. there was construction scaffolding in the way and the sun was setting, which cast a bitch of a shadow, but at least I was there and have proof. I seriously had a religious expurrience. I even got down and dusted the star with my jacket. it was weird to be there, knowing I've seen pictures from the day they received the star...to think Stevie has been here and touched this and millions have walked here to see this star. anyway, it was certainly a lifetime milestone.

I looked everywhere for Barbra's star, but couldn't find it. :(

I have a picture of it too. Eventhough I was only there a few hours, I still loved LA. And I spent the whole time searching for Stevie stuff.

I've got a pic of me sitting cross-legged right above the top star point. And then we went into Frederick's. :laugh:

I was little disappointed in their selection though. it looked so big from the outside, but it was kinda small on the inside. I wish I could've gone to Trashy.

Trashy is so close, Jazzy! If you get out here again you need me to tour you around. I know where stuff is and the quickest routes to get there. I'm sure you'd love rolling around LA in my pickup. I mean, you did look good when you snagged my cowboy hat and wore it anyway.

How did you find the exact spot where the star is located? (Is there a website or book?)

looked it up somewhere on the net. it told the address. like 6985 Hollywood or something like that.

There are webistes where they indicate all stars location.

I have also my pic, actually I think I was there twice!!! A great evening, I remember, in Hollywood.

I've heard that old stars may be removed (not sure they decide in terms of importance of the name, or its age), but I hope they'll NEVER remove the Fleetwood Mac star.

omg. that would be horrible. to remove anyone's star! there were a lot of people I'd never heard of and/or would've never guessed they'd have a star.

I remember seeing it for the first time 2 years ago when I was out in L.A for the Gold Dust Tour. Someone had spilled ice cream on it!:mad: SO of course I had to get something to clean it off. Someone took my picture doing that. Quite hilarious!!:laugh: I'm going to go check it out again when I'm out there in a few weeks to See Lindsey.:nod:

Im going there next week. They better leave Mac! They're still recent enough! Why would they remove the originals though! That makes me mad! Those are like the gems! I saw the Mac star too back in like the early 90's!! I also visited Mick Fleetwood's restaurant at the time called Fleetwood's~ Does anyone know when this closed down? I almost got to meet Mick the night my parents and I went but we had to leave for the airport at like 8 pm and the waiter said Mick was supposed to be there at like 11pm w/ Little Feat! I was soooo mad at my parents for going that night cause we had to leave and I had wanted to go the night before when we could have stayed~ and it happens Mick was there the night before too~ the restaurant was still very new at the time~ Well the waiter took my address and said he'd send me an autogragh~ and a few weeks later he did! It was wonderful!! He personalized it and said I'm sorry I missed you and your Mum and Dad! Hope you enjoyed the food!(how cute is that? Mum!) :D
