I just won Stevie Nicks tickets to Red Rocks!

OMG - I still cannot believe it esp cause I didn't even know this station was giving them away today! I remembered they were giving them away yesterday but I wasn't around during the hour they were (I only listen to the radio when I am in the car) and today I was coming home from an errand with my 16 mos old son and I had just changed the channel in my car to that station again and the DJ said "todays trivia question is what 2 Stevie Nicks songs were written here in Colorado" and she said the first caller would win 2 tix to Red Rocks! So I knew the answer - started calling - busy, busy. My cell phone was ready to die so I pulled over and plugged it in (scramling to do so with my todder in the back car seat meanwhile!) and I get thru and she says "whose this" and I said "Lauren" and I told her the answer, which is Rhiannan and Landslide, and she said "you must be a FM or Stevie fanatic to know that" and I said "yup, both" LOL! I told her I thought it was easy and someone would get it right away and why it was busy and she said no one got it until me. She asked how I knew that and I said "I just know" LOL!

anyway, am so excited!!! Had to share. Hope they are decent seats - she didn't know where they were as the tix are not here yet, but hey saves me some $$$ too! Esp cause I had to sell my Red Rocks tix 2 years ago cause I was pregnant and it was too hot that day to go.

Lauren :]

That's awesome- congratulations. I would not have known the answer to that question!!!!

sorry - the answer was Rhiannan and Landslide - I just added that back in but forgot to put it in originally!

Congrats! That is so cool...

I'm officially jealous jealous jealous...especially since it looks like I won't be able to go

But that really is awesome for you - guess I better start listening to radio around here...what station did you win them from?

 Whooo Hoooo!!!! Congratulations! I bet you were shaking with excitement, I know I would be. That is fantastic news! Enjoy the show.

Hey- thanks guys! I have good luck - don't know why. I won FM tix back in 1997 also on the radio - 3rd row. Anyway, the station is KOOL 105 (105.1) and they are giving them away everyday after 5 during "Car Tunes" - today it was about 5:25. Yeah I was shaking as I literally had just changed to that station - wasn't even thinking about winning tix or anything and wasn't planning on going this year cause we really need to watch our budget and I figured I'd seen her several times but when the DJ asked the question and I knew I was like "I Have to try"! still cannot believe I got in!

good luck - try to win!
Lauren

Congrats! :D

Excellent...I'm at work during that time, but I'll find a way to listen/try tomorrow

Congrats though, that's awesome!!!

hey Deanna- just noticed that was you!

are you going to see Lindsey? I keep thinking I should but I hate the GA idea still and I won't be able to get there early cause of my son and my husband would have to get home and I may not even get there in time with rush hour. Grr.........

good luck on the tix! If somehow my husband doesn't want to go I"ll let you know :-)
Lauren

congrats, lauren!!

yeah lauren! :woohoo:

I only saw the first part of your title thread. I thought maybe you actually won Stevie Nicks! lol...now that would be a prize!:]

Is KOOL 105 still an oldies station? I would think 103.5 The Fox would be more appropiate... I haven't lived in Denver for a while so this could have changed.

Yes, KOOL 105 is oldies but they recently changed to 60s and 70s now (and maybe some 80s? not sure) They do play a lot of Fleetwood Mac. I listen to SASSY a lot too - it's all 70s and 80s and very "girlish" LOL! They play all the stuff I used to listen to when I was younger so I love it.

I don't know if the Fox is doing something too. KBCO had a presale this morning - anyone score anything?

won tickets to red rocks

congratulations have you ever seen stevie before? i have many times.

Awwww...I friggin' LOVE stories like that!!
Congrats, Lauren. That's really cool that the tickets are going to a true fan.

Good for you!!!! :blob1:
