Today show performance time?

Does anyone know what time she'll be on?

Macfanforever 03-29-2007 08:01 PM

between 8:30am to 9am first song, between 9:45 to 10am

Stevie will be on about between 8:30am to 9am first song, between 9:45 to 10am for the second, the same time frame as she was in 2005 and Fleetwood Mac in 2003. I recomend you all should watch or run timer set recordings on your tivo's, vcr's dvd recorders for the last 2 hours of the show,8am to 10am,
I've been recording Today show concerts on fridays for awhile now, they came out complete.

pwyll 03-29-2007 11:11 PM

Are they outside yet? I think it's to early. I'm not going to bother this year. All performances to date seem to have been inside.

SpyNote 03-29-2007 11:23 PM

MSNBC been posting the performances online afterwards, so you can watch the video here if you miss it. :woohoo:

Taku mentioned on his site he'd be surprised if it were outside at this time of year...

estranged4life 03-29-2007 11:54 PM

Only one I watched...

this year (Which I recorded for my wife) was Keith Urban's performance, and KU played outside...so who knows

Kelly 03-30-2007 05:46 AM

She is performing indoors today. Someone from
7W verified that with the Today Show. It is 40 degrees right now....too cold for Stevie!
I am not going up this time either. I wish Liz would have booked her on The View! That I could have gotten tickets for. Plus Rosie adores her. (although Joy does NOT like Stevie)

The Catdancer 03-30-2007 06:35 AM

Then Joy doesn't know what she's talking about

estranged4life 03-30-2007 08:11 AM

Stevie will be playing...

around 9:30am EST/8:30am CST according to the promo made about 10 minutes ago.

Kelly 03-30-2007 08:25 AM

Hmmm...she looked beautiful. The vocal? Eh, I dunno. I am not sure what was going on but something seemed....off? I also really miss Lindsey! And Jana's weird facial expressions are starting to rub off on Sharon...did anyone catch that face Sharon was making during the long "hillllllssss". Stevie looked gorgeous and the top was very pretty and flattering. Loved the jewelry and boots. Why did she 'welcome back' Matt? They haven't aired Rhiannon yet, so I am hoping it sounds better. OOps, coming up next! :blob1:

strandinthewind 03-30-2007 08:32 AM

^^^^

The Landslide vocal had some good moments, but, other than those, it was okay. And, they need to tone down the harmonies.

Odds are La Nicks recorded her songs at the same time and they are varying the songs in the segment. So, that sould be why she welcomed back Matt.

estranged4life 03-30-2007 08:39 AM

Ok...

Maybe I missed something (I know I didnt), but having both TV sets on NBC I have yet to hear Stevie play

GODDESS6 03-30-2007 08:39 AM

piss it hasn't aired here yet, tho i did see a few signs outside for her~ it should be on after this "single woman" segment i think~

edit:, they just showed her!!!~ god i loved the SOTB top!!!~

MacMan 03-30-2007 08:44 AM

She's up next... She was just on standing around with Waddy.

That's what I said. She looked and sounded beautiful, but she just didn't seem all they way there to me. And I'm really getting tired of Jana. She practically drowns out Stevie.

estranged4life 03-30-2007 08:45 AM

Showed Stevie & Waddy...

so they're up next.

I wonder what Stevie thought about the 'single woman' segment?

MacMan 03-30-2007 08:57 AM

It was good... She looked good I thought... It's almost like the mic is too direct... or in the forefront.. No atmosphere to it...

estranged4life 03-30-2007 09:01 AM

"Landslide" sounded alright, caught a brief preview of "Rhiannon".

estranged4life 03-30-2007 09:19 AM

I thought she looked beautiful too, her skin was very refreshed and she had nice natural nails, not those tired fire engine red things. I thought the vocal wasn't strong tho  , especially during Rhiannon. I missed Lindsey too!!! Landslide has no magic without Lindsey with Stevie IMHO. I love that moon neckalce, I want one for myself. She was very funny and flirty, especially talking about Matt. She said she was a "spinster"...that was funny and cute. Taku was on percussion!!! I love that Linds and Stevie share some of the same people in their bands in their solo live stuff. Stevie and Linds are always at fingertip-length; still connected even if they are on different musical paths at the moment. They are forever. :xoxo:

She looked great, loved all of it although Rhiannon is still to come though.

danax6 03-30-2007 11:41 AM

So Landslide and Rhiannon?

Yep, and that's it. Still have to see Rhiannon, this show has commercials like every 3 seconds aaarrrggghhh:mad:

FrozenLove7 03-30-2007 11:55 AM

:) On an impulse, we decided to go down to the NBC studio to watch her this morning. How fun! She looked so beautiful, as always, but very "fresh."
We watched perform her from outside the window, and while we didn't get to see her any more up-close than that I did get to shake Matt Lauer's hand!
(Plus I was front-row beneath Mr. Buckingham at Wednesday's show... So I suppose I can't be TOO greedy now can I?)

It was funny because they taped Rhiannon before she sang Landslide, so that she could leave sooner we supposed. I didn't realize they were doing this and when the sound cut off toward the end of the song I got pissed! Thankfully someone explained what was going on and I calmed down.

Did anyone watch/listen to the segment on Women living alone, and most without spouses. Stevie watched that entire segment behind the camera and it was cool to know that it meant a lot to her as it praised women in her generation living so independently. Another beautiful candid moment I wish that I could have bottled. (Or at least have had a decent camera to take pictures by!)

SpyNote 03-30-2007 12:10 PM

What time did the songs air?

Rhiannon was the last thing to air on the show... then the show was over - I think it was 10am here (central) Landslide was probably an hour or so before that?

MacMan 03-30-2007 12:19 PM

OH MY GOD.

Check out the questions she answered... She want's to do a standards album with David Foster!!

must've cut away because Stevie was only shown playing "Landslide" then "Rhiannon" (Which was the last segment before the show ended.)

I recorded this show on DVD, so I guess I'll double check to see if I may have missed it

Wow. Hm.

Etta James? So we'll get an album version of At Last? That'd be sweet. I still would rather see her record her own material, but I gave up on that a long time ago, so I guess this is the next best thing.

In a way, I think this is better because she has to sing the standards as written, instead of fabricating her own three note melody.

estranged4life 03-30-2007 12:37 PM

Cool about a standards album...Would be interesting but I prefer to see Stevie rock out than be a 'crooner'.

I would prefer Stevie's version of the Everly Bros."So Sad To Watch Good Love Go Bad" get officially released sometime in this life.

Oh, she'll fit the songs around her three note melody range anyway. I'm not so sure she can still belt out 'At Last' as beautifully as she did almost 10 years ago in 1998.

But I am optimistic, because her voice obviously does lend well for projects like that.

strandinthewind 03-30-2007 12:43 PM

^^^^

If the "current" Beauty and the Beast and Rock and Roll are any indication, then she can.

ELIUD 03-30-2007 01:17 PM

Plus she can sing way more notes, when she's singing lightly into a microphone. It's all this over-projecting of her songs that limits her range.

danax6 03-30-2007 01:26 PM

^^
Ofcourse. I was slightly kidding when I said that. ;) She managed to hit the high notes for the Dreams remix, so it's all still possible.

RockALittle250 03-30-2007 01:31 PM

I think her answering that question and saying that she has ideas about a new album (whether it's a standards album or her own material) proves that she still has interest in making a new record. She just has to do it when the time is right for her, not us.

She also said she wanted to release her "Rhiannon" album. An album of standards would be pretty cool, but I am not holding my breath. As she said on Access Hollywood, "she is very busy until the end of the year promoting CV"..then Fleetwood Mac is a possibility.

I am surprised more people did not comment on her vocal...something was very odd about both songs. I could barely even hear the band on Landslide, minus Jana. Lori sounded fanfriggintastic on both songs...I am SO happy she is back. I think the last time I saw her live before 2005, was 1996! Lori and Sharon should be the only background singers from now on. Sorry Jana!:o
