Lindsey in San Diego June 11, 2007

Humphreys Concerts by the Bay just added Lindsey to their summer concert series. Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10am PDT for the June 11 show. If you haven't been to a concert at Humphrey's it's a San Diego tradition and only seats a little over a thousand right on San Diego Bay. Kayaks and small boats hang out right off stage to hear the shows for free.

It looks like a great venue! I wish San Francisco had an outdoor venue just like that, but it's usually too cold here.

DESTINYRU!ES 03-27-2007 07:43 PM

Hey that's my birthday! I'm sooo going!:blob1:

Billo 03-27-2007 10:22 PM

Dayuuum, that looks good. Might have to make that one - but DEFINITELY a show in CA or somewhere in the West - I can't wait for him to come back to Texas.

markolas 03-27-2007 10:41 PM

Oh, if he comes back through Austin, I'm definitely there. It was such a great show.

all help and advice appreciated

We'll be in Zion ,Utah on our holiday, and according to Rand McNally that's a 7 hour drive. Is that do-able ? I'm having a hard time to decide wether or not to go for the San Diego show or to wait a bit longer just in case there will be a show somewhere closer by.Maybe HOB Las Vegas? Then again, if i wait too long, San Diego might be sold out:(
What a stressfull sitation !:D

hmmm...hard to say. Lindsey may play vegas again...but will you be here on holiday at that time? As the Diego date is June 11 and Saratoga is June 14, he may play the 12 and 13 in the LA area. I am not much help, am I? :o What are the dates of your holiday?

I am thrilled we have the two dates confirmed, at this point, so vaca can be scheduled now. Yes!! :woohoo:

suzyvermoesen 04-04-2007 12:15 PM

The dates of our holiday are fm june 8th till june 29th.and our schedule is:
8 : Las Vegas
9-11 : Zion
12-15: Cannonville (Bryce)
16-18 : Page
19 : Gouldings (Monument Valley)
20-24 : Williams, Az.
25 :Beatty (Death Valley)
26-28 : Las Vegas
29 : fly home to Belgium:distress:
Up till now, with only the two dates confirmed, it looks like he's heading north, along the coast. I keep checking his website and the Ledge about every 15 minutes to see if there are new dates. Talk about obsession

 I would check daily. Diego may sell out as the venue is small. You may also want to await further dates...for arizona or vegas.

Good for you! You'll love the intimate venue. Don't be surprised if it's overcast (not sunny) while you are in San Diego. Southern California has the dreaded "June Gloom" along the coast. Last year it was nice but generally the low clouds hang out along the coast during the month of June. Did you get the hotel package? Humphrey's is a nice place to stay and they serve drinks at the concert - right to your seat! As for cameras, Good Luck!. They are notoriously strict and have been known to take them from you if you are lucky enough to get them in to the venue. From where you will be sitting with the package deal you should be able to get good shots with a camera phone. Hope to see you there!

carol7lynn 04-05-2007 05:41 PM

I'm going to San Diego too and the venue looks awesome. I elected to stay nearby at the Bay Club and bought the dinner package. It turned out to be a bit cheaper that way and I'm on the aisle in the second row of the center section. The Bay Club is supposedly right next door. Anyone know much about it?

Yes, we got the hotel package and are in section b2, 3rd row, seats 103 and 104. I've never smuggled a camera inside a concert, so i'm totally new at this. If they do take it away from you, do you get it back after the show? (or is that a stupid question?:o ) If they don't give it back, then i'm not going to risk losing it,i've only bought it recently. There should be disposable digital camera's for these sort of things :D

I'm sure they give it back after the show. Last year, this venue did purse searches but not much else. You didn't have to walk thru a security screening like at the airport. The security hangs out right by the stage but if you don't use a flash you will probably be okay. Let me know the route you plan to take to get to San Diego - I can probably steer you away from traffic spots to get to Humphreys.

Maybe i'll give it a try then and hide the camera in my makeup bag, covered with sanitary towels as someone suggested in another thread:laugh:
We'll be driving in from Zion,Utah and i've already checked the Rand McNally route planner to find the fastest route, but suggestions are more than welcome ! I figure if we hit the road by 8 in the morning, we should get to Humphreys by 5 in the afternoon.Just in time to check in ,have dinner and
get to our seats.

As it gets closer to the concert (before you leave for your vacation) I'll pm you directions. Keep in mind that you will get in traffic starting around 3pm because you'll be passing a military base and their schedule starts a little earlier than most folks. Also, the concert will start very close to the 7:30pm start time. Humphreys is an outdoor venue at the hotel and they have a very strict 10pm curfew to stop the concerts. If Zion is in a different time zone, leaving at 8am (7am pacific) should get you to Humphreys in plenty of time. It's a straight shot on the 15 freeway.

Oh sh** , i keep forgetting about those timezones ! But :) Zion is on a different TZ :) fortunately!
It's really nice of you to want to pm me directions to the place. I'm having nightmares at the moment about getting lost on the way, flat tyres, car breakdown and so on. I just cannot believe i'm actually going to see LB in concert. I'm even thinking of bringing a banner saying : come to Belgium Lindsey !:wavey: (now you'll know how to recognize me)
