do cats like the eagles or fleetwood mac more?

this is a very important and highly scientific poll.

do household cats prefer the eagles or fleetwood mac?

estranged4life 03-25-2007 02:56 PM

My cats stay in here in the bedroom when I play FM, but usually head to use the litterbox when I play the Eagles

I know they love death metal...Sitting here listening to Morbid Angel and 3 of 'em are laying here enjoying the music.

michelle2677 03-25-2007 02:59 PM

I thought cats liked to chase birds?? So I'm going with the eagles

DrummerDeanna 03-25-2007 03:03 PM

^^

OMG...get oughta my head! that's the logic I used when deciding  That and I don't much care for cats so I chose the group I liked least :p

But I say cats like The Eagles more. Dogs? Definitely Fleetwood Mac

Define smarter.

Dogs do what you tell them to and live to please their humans.
Cats do whatever the hell they want and believe that their humans exist to please them.

exactly what i logged on to say.

my dog definitely likes fleetwood mac better - and especially stevie. i swear i hear her humming along in the backseat when we're driving. she's got good taste, my dog.

(natch)

true. I was just saying that because I love dogs more. tbh, i think cats are smarter. If I see a stray cat, I never pick them up, because I feel like they can survive on their own. But I just feel like dogs can't. I know that sounds so stupid, but

JazmenFlowers 03-25-2007 04:08 PM

well, I voted FMac, but now I'm wondering.

'specially since only cats and dogs can hear Don Henley anyway.

Stew_Matthews 03-25-2007 04:10 PM

Both cats and dogs have far too much intelligence to like the Eagles......so I reckon both listen to FM.

I think cats have come further up the evoluntionary road though..........lets face it they don't sh*t all over the pavement/sidewalk!

GiniLeaE 03-25-2007 04:20 PM

My neighborhood ferral cats leave when I play the Eagles...

Ok, this was a hilarious question first off...

And unfortunately I am allergic to cats (anything with fur really, including extra hairy men! HA!) so I don't have one in house...

:sorry: BUT those aggravating (sorry, I know ya'll are lovers of cats here...) ferral cats outside who **** in my yard, eat my birds and squirrels, and sometimes die in my yard (most are diseased...one had RABIES!) are not my friends.

To drive them away I play LOUD ASS MUSIC...they don't dig it. Seems that today they especially disliked the Eagles...maybe it reminds them of the birds they ingest.

foxyluva 03-25-2007 04:22 PM

My cats are all deaf - so I don't know :D

My cats just don't give a ****.

I used to have a budgie though who would screach her stupid little head off whenever I played something with Stevie on vocals.

Maybe she was trying to sing along.

rbs3676 03-25-2007 04:25 PM

My boys, Hilton and Sims, love the Mac. They both watched CBS this morning with me. Hilton was actually in my lap.
Sims, though, does love Joe Walsh. But more in a solo capacity.

FM all the way...

rbs

Hey now, I actually wasn't trying to be offensive with that comment. Seriously though, Juliet would really get going when I played some of Stevie's more rocking tunes, and the louder I turned it up to try to drown her out the louder she got.

I really hated that bird.

Maybe

Can cats actually hear music? I mean, I blast music with them in the room all the time - and they never seem to react to it

xdreamsunwindx 03-25-2007 10:51 PM

My cats love punk rock. I'll be playing The Ramones or The Damned, and they'll be all over that. They also enjoy Motörhead.

But, I went with FM. Because frankly, my cats are too smart to like The Eagles, though Joe Walsh/James Gang = always cool. And my cat is named Stevie, so she better like FM.

Für Elise 03-26-2007 03:27 AM

my cats are not abnormal creatures and cannot tell the difference between noises strange to them. the sounds they like are the fridge door opening and the sound of the food hitting the bowl.

My pets have been trained to love the gruffness of Stevie's voice, the rocking guitar abilities of LiddyBuck, Christine's silky smooth vocals, John's totally on target bass and Mick's mananical drumming.

This being said, I voted for the eagles lol JK:laugh:

gretchen 06-13-2007 06:53 PM

No little DonDreamies, no.

This why they did that reunion tour, he needed money for a hair transplant.
