How come when I go to 'Who's Online':

carrie721 is always 'searching forums'?

bretonbanquet is always 'private messaging'?

DrummerDeanna never shows up there even though she's online? Does she have special invisibility powers?

And how come when often after I've replied to a post I get a 'page cannot be found' message and I have to log back in all over again?

That's another story...all of a sudden I don't have cookies anymore. Every god damn time I go to the Ledge or anywhere else I have to put in my name and password all over again. It's not saving them anymore. :shrug:

It might have something to do with that, but then Jazzie says he has that problem also ocassionally.

yep and it's effin frustrating. I'm lucky that I can just hit the refresh button and it works...having to put in my user/pw everytime would grate.

Cause I don't like change and therefore never bothered to come up with another username. Back in '98 when I joined the WWW, I was really into the X-Files. So, that explains the 'x' and the 'dana'. 6 is just my lucky number. And it looks like a 'd' turned around. One of my pet peeves is people spelling it with a capital D. It just doesn't look good anymore then. :mad:

Thanks. You should talk to my sister, it drives her crazy that I need everything to match. My apartment is completely done in soft yellow and beige and a little chocolate brown and recently she brought home a poster which she wanted to hang up in the entrance hall and I forbade it. :lol: There was too much blue in it! I searched high and low for a copy of the Dance and the TISL poster because those are the only ones I can hang up in my bedroom/entrance hall without it looking uncoordinated.

Everything else in my life is a complete mess though, but at least my apartment looks good. :laugh:

I've always wanted to know how people read the ledge. Do you start from the first unread post and go up? Do you pick and choose? Do you read what everyone has to say or do you breeze right by some of our posts/replies?

How come Carrie and Michelle can't get through a single thread without calling each other a bitch? :shrug: :cool: :p

My Ledge bookmark is my User CP page. I usually check subscribed threads first - and then to each board.

I definitely don't read everything. I start with the Stevie folder, check all the threads that look interesting, check the threads I know I have posted in before and then head on to the LB folder and do the same. When I am *really* bored I'll even read threads that don't look interesting at first glance. So, I save chit chat for last. :lol:

When I arrive, I usually read/reply to PMs first. Then, I click on "new posts"...I read the latest first and work my way down...I view those topics I am interested in or have participated in. After that I generally hang in the Lindsey forum or view what people are listening to. How do you read the ledge, Mike?

I have no PM's, so I just usually read whatever interests me first, or whatever threads I've responded in, and go from there. I hardly have time to read them all.

i had books, posters, the trading cards, the entire series on vhs (cause as a kid, i would obsessively tape). i even have postcards and t-shirts from suncoast video -- annnnd a script from one of the episodes. x-files was serious business :laugh: i'm surprised my password to everything wasn't trustno1 a la fox mulder. oye.

You sound exactly like my best friend in High School...she also had everything, I was her hack friend who only watched it occassionaly. Suncoast :laugh: We used to go there she'd covet all the X-Files stuff while I'd look at the I Love Lucy or Wizard of Oz stuff :rolleyes: And then we'd harass the poor girl who worked there....

Anyway - my X-Files love has blossomed late, as I only recently dedicated myself to watching all the episodes - had I been more dedicated to catching it on tv when it was on, I'm sure I would have been just as obsessed...

I really can't read everything I want to. I never seem to have enough time (or the concentration, depending on the time of day in which I "ledge") but I try to keep up on stuff. I always see if there are developments in the threads regarding tours, and then I check for brand new threads.

I always start with Chit Chat at the bottom and skip what I'm not interested in until later, then hop over to Stevie and do the same, then to Rumours and do the same. then I'm done. :D
