Limited Edition CD/DVD available from Warner Bros.

From the NicksFix:

Buy the CD/DVD from this WBR store link and receive a limited edition card designed for you with an illustration and note from Stevie Nicks, not available anywhere else!!

http://store.wbr.com/store/product.a...999157&sys=wbr

I just tried it, but when I click "proceed to checkout," it locks up on me. I've tried it w/ Mozilla and Windows Explorer.

I noticed in another thread someone was asking if Stevie was doing commentary on every video - looks like she is.

"For the first time, a CD/DVD combination covers the entire solo career of one of rock's most beloved superstar chanteuses. Featured are several previously unreleased live tracks as well as Stevie's voice-over commentary for each video and her artwork. Reflections...The Best of Stevie Nicks is exactly that."

They're still referring to it as "Reflections?"

GarboSpeaks! 03-11-2007 01:34 PM

HOLY crap! Thanks for the heads up! I just ordered it, and it went thru! Keep trying!!!!!! Got an immediate receipt # and everything. Also, I wasn't a prior "member", just started that, so if you are a member, just proceed as though you are new. Maybe that makes a difference.

Gypsy-Rhiannon 03-11-2007 01:43 PM

Hmmm... wonder if it's available to the UK!!

danax6 03-11-2007 01:44 PM

I love living here, I really do.

I don't believe it's your location that is the problem, dear Vanessa.

I really hope you guys get something cool, and not some POS like the inkjet-printed "signed" photo the Mac offered when SYW came out.

Gypsy-Rhiannon 03-11-2007 01:47 PM

We regret that we are unable to ship your order to Great Britain (UK).

Bugger :(

I'm sure it will be, but I still want it! :)

tommer 03-11-2007 02:26 PM

5$ for a stevie postcard. tremendous bargain.

MacMan 03-11-2007 02:26 PM

There's a few discrepancies between this version Warners is selling and what's on Amazon and Barnes and Noble... Warners is still showing HAEWAFY on their version? From a marketing stand point it would be to their benefit if they did include one "different" song, on the cd only version, that wasn't on the cd/dvd combo... This way they could sucker people like me into buying both versions :D

SpyNote 03-11-2007 02:35 PM

They forgot to update the description. It still says "Reflections...The Best of Stevie Nicks".

GarboSpeaks! 03-11-2007 02:54 PM

I also like the fact that I signed up for the WB info by cellular thingy, and not one damn thing sent to my text-box about this offer. I am such a tool to think that all this is going to go hand and hand, but I sign up for stuff, and pre-order crap hoping for the best. We shall see.

crystal baller 03-11-2007 03:52 PM

i ordered it too, i hope it was worth it because it'll probably be on sale, everywhere, the first week, for $15.

Typical
But I guess it has to do with the fact that the UK release date has been put back to the autumn.

What?!?! It's still showing March 26 on AmazonUK (even though they still have the title as Reflections...) Where did you hear they had delayed it?

Warner sent out a press release last week :(
Apparently they couldn't sort out the international rights in time for March 26
I probably should have posted...

We don't have a release date now either. The press release just says "released this autumn", although I've heard it may be September.
NZ might be the same then.

FrozenLove7 03-11-2007 07:56 PM

Wait... So what exactly is the card?

Crap - I'm sorry to hear that. I know it's a rehash for the most part, but still sucks to be left out.

Yet another example of Warner's complete incompetence. And they wonder why they lost so much money and just had their worst quarter ever.

Great, :distress:, that's a great proof of efficiency from Warner. This is one of those moments in which I feel the greatest gratitude for the valiant sites in US that ship overseas.

I doubt it. My company sent out a memo saying EMI was releasing it here on the 26 of March - I rang EMI and spoke to the marketing manager, and he has NO idea about this release. My friend @ Warners still has no idea either...

Oh well, Victoria is sending me a copy anyway

tommer 03-12-2007 05:54 AM

i fail to see why you guys even care about int'l release dates.
it's 2007, and one can easily order cd's from amazon and have it shipped anywhere across the globe. and besides, you know stevie, it's not like she's gonna bother doing any promotional efforts outside the US, and i seriously doubt whether another compilation album would generate any real media attention on its own merits.
overall, the distinction between a domestic release and an american one is the difference between accepting an album with your mail, or actually bothering to go to your local record store, to look for a copy there ("sorry dude, we only have the regular one, not the double cd edition.")

jkmaletic 03-12-2007 07:59 AM

I went ahead and ordered one. I just hope that it's shipped out in a timely manner so I won't have to wait too long after the March 27th release date. On the other hand, maybe they'll be on it and I'll get it a day early or something.

People in Europe might want to see the DVD too and it is kinda crappy because the DVD will be NTSC Region 1, which means, it can only be watched in America, or on computers. Pushing back release dates because of copyright issues is just an excuse for not having to admit to have failed to promote the album in Europe. Seriously, there should roll some heads at Warner/WEA soon.
I don't care as much for the CD as I care to see the DVD, because I heard every single version of the songs before, but I haven't seen all videos in a good quality yet.

 Because:
a, if you don't have a credit card you can't buy from the US
b, you pay less postage if it's being shipped from within your own country (in fact some UK sites don't charge any postage at all) AND you receive it faster
c, not everyone has a multi-region DVD player

Sure, if you actually have a credit card and don't mind paying 100 bucks for shipping. I'd much rather crawl to my local record store than beg someone to send it to me.

Dutch Warner is still saying 'next quarter'. I called them last Friday. Next quarter in my book is April-May-June, but I guess if the UK won't get it until this fall, we won't either.

WizNicks 03-12-2007 08:18 AM

Well, Amazon Germany still lists both CDs to be released on the 27th of March.
http://www.amazon.de/Crystal-Visions...3705333&sr=8-7
http://www.amazon.de/Crystal-Visions...3705333&sr=8-5

Hope there are only copyright issues with the actual UK (England, etc...) so there is still for all Europeans the chance to get it over amazon.de.
Too bad my wife is coiming back on the 19th, otherwise she could bring some CDs over if it was really postponed!

Yeah, but you can't pre-order, so that makes me doubtful it will actually be released then.

WizNicks 03-12-2007 08:27 AM

Have faith child! ....just kidding

I don't know what to think, but it all sounded too good till now....something had to go wrong!

Livia 03-12-2007 10:51 AM

I was able to order at work - I don't know why it wouldn't go through on my home computer? Anyway, this is on the receipt:

Standard delivery is 7-10 business days. If your order includes products that are Advance Order, your entire order will be processed and shipped to arrive on or about the street date. Advance Order release dates are subject to change without notice.

I've never gotten anything before the release date when I've pre-ordered in the past (from Amazon, Fanfire, or WB), so we'll see.

jkmaletic 03-12-2007 12:11 PM

I can't wait to see what the "note from Stevie" will say. Hopefully it won't be along the lines of, "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine!"

are you kidding me? i don't think you can still buy a region-limited dvd player outside north america. in case you happen to have such an exotic player, you can unlock that stupid region limitation in a matter of 3 minutes and 2 clicks.

a. who doesn't own a credit card? i don't know in which ways your banking system is different from ours, but here you usually get a credit card way before you can get your driver's licence. i suppose if you don't own one, it is highly likely that you also don't own a dvd player nor a computer to begin with.
b. from my experience, even including int'l postage, amazon.com is far cheaper than amazon.co.uk even excluding shipping.
c. wrong. any dvd can be switched to multi region.

Yeah, and we sleep in huts and hunt mastadons every night for dinner.

No, not everyone owns a credit card. It's not like you can get them together with a carton of laundry detergent. You a. have to make a certain amount of money per month to even qualify and b. have to have paid ALL your bills on time going back 5 years or forget it. The last time I applied, a few weeks ago, they didn't give me one because I was late with my student loan payments twice four years ago. This is not America where you can get a credit card with your Big Mac and use one to pay off another and thus end up with 12 credit cards in the end. In fact, they try to protect you from insanely huge credit card bills here by having all these very strict rules. A tad exaggerated? Yes, but I guess in the end it works, nobody goes bankrupt here because of credit card debts.

sounds so lame... here it's very simple, your card is limited (or not) according to your credit, like in my case, where my cards are limited to a certain charge per month, or when i have to get a clearance form the bank to a charge above a certain amount, and so on.
and what's with the mastadons and huts? how did i miss them? all i saw was Febos and coffeeshops.
