Wasn't Lindsey just there?

On their site it doesn't mention Chris Eye Sack - just her and Tickets at $80

danax6 03-02-2007 10:08 AM

^^
Thought that was weird also. Maybe this is something seperate?

edit: don't believe Lindsey has played there btw.

skcin 03-02-2007 11:00 AM

Hmmmmm....I wanna say Verona is a 6 hour drive from here. I'll have to look into it.

same for me, but I have family in Utica which is right near there, which is the only reason why I am considering this one... my roomates and I are trying to plan a Vegas trip in early June but with Stevie coming to town I think we need to move it!!

ontheEdgeof17 03-02-2007 11:44 AM

If she is playing in the middle-of-nowhere NY, then she can come to Morgantown. Here's hoping!

DavidMn 03-02-2007 12:21 PM

The rest should be coming shortly then I'm thinking.

The middle of Deliverance! Ugh! I'm probably going to go, but what a nightmarish drive- at least 5 hours! An NYC area carpool may be in order! We should also see if we can negotiate a block of rooms. Since it's a weeknight, I suspect that rooms at the casino will be fairly reasonable.

I think we can pretty much assume that Stevie will be hitting Jones Beach and PNC either the weekend before or after this date. Mohegan Sun may be a stretch, but definitely within the realm of possibility.

Yeah, but it's a casino - they're all in the middle of nowhere up here. :p

I agree, rooms should be cheap. Well, at least we have some time to figure it out, I'm curious to see if she'll come any closer to me.

EDIT - Verona's only about 3 hours from me. Much better.

Rickypt 03-02-2007 01:36 PM

I'm gonna be in Boston the weekend before, so I think I can get to this Verona gig!!! :woohoo:

Anyone know the hotel situation there?

7 hrs for me.

Rooms at the Turning Stone "Inn" are only $69. My goodness, Stevie has finally presented us with a cheap experience.

LikeAWillow 03-02-2007 01:46 PM

6 hours for me. I'm going to give it a shot.

:blob1:  Between the ticket and hotel, it's still cheaper than a Las Vegas show.

By the way, I'm all about cheap experiences.

Have you figured out a way to get from Boston to Bumble****, NY?

danax6 03-02-2007 01:56 PM

How far from NYC is Verona? I'm too lazy to mapquest.

I'm all about trains. I'll find a way. :woohoo:

Or maybe I'll get to NYC and catch one of the Ledgie carpools.

It looks to be about 4.5, maybe 5 hours. The only thing I can compare this to is when I drove to Killington, Vermont to go skiing. That. was. painful. It's a beautiful drive, but it gets very dull very quickly. But then again, that was back before I had an iPod FM transmitter.

SpyNote 03-02-2007 02:16 PM

Guess Stevie's gravitating towards the casino circuit. I wonder if she'll be offered to take over Celine's Brand New Day gig at the end of the year (when Celine closes the show).

Hm, that's probably too far out. I am thinking about going to NYC in June and catch a few shows around there. Here's to hoping she hits the RCMH.

Not likely, she can't even sell out 4 dates. Besides, I think Cher and Bette Midler are taking over. :)

If rumor has it, that position has been offered to Cher.

I think that's very doubtful. I do think Stevie has become more of a shed/casino gal. ~It's just a feeling... :p

And it's not like she has never played casinos before... much of the Gold Dust tour was in casinos.

That being said, since she is obviously straying off the beaten path, I hope she goes to Reading, PA again! Reading is a trashy little town, but the arena is relatively new and very cute. She sold it out on the TISL tour.

ontheEdgeof17 03-02-2007 02:30 PM

This date is odd, too. Wasn't she suppose to start on the West Coast? This is a pretty early date in the tour if she is starting with Eye Sack at the end of May/beginning of June out West. True? False?

I'm thinking...false? Where is it said the tour starts at the end of May? I thought it was all of May and June...

If I remember correctly, tour is supposed to start mid-May on west coast and wrap up end of June on east coast.

Hmz. I guess mid May might be right then. If they start the 16th.

Or maybe he joins in later? Seeing he's just the opening act anyway.

Maybe Eye Sack is dropping out early in order to start work on the new Eagles album.

Well, if we can get a carpool together, you never know... it might be a long, fun road trip. By the way... don't count on catching "The Producers." It's closing in April, I believe.

at least that would FINALLY get her to play Oklahoma since large Tribal owned casino's are opening here on a daily basis.

Of course I live in a town with a tribe who cant even keep a smokeshop open, so no Casino for this hellhole anytime soon.
