weird things that are in your car

do you keep weird things in your car that other people don't?

for a long time, i had a jar of spaghetti sauce under the driver's seat.

i also have this hanging on my rear view mirror:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...IMWIT_DOTS.jpg

well, i just have the thing on the right hanging there. i bought it off ebay for $3.

JazmenFlowers 02-21-2007 06:18 PM

omg. this is an awesome thread.

in my car right now:

a leather jacket from Banana Republic, 4 empty water bottles, a Cinderella cup that once had juice in it, 3 empty Nature's Valley granola bar wrappers, a stuffed lamb, a case of water and trash galore.

EDIT: wait, I think I read your post wrong. I listed everything in my car. nothing exactly weird except the Cinderella cup! as far as keeping things in my car...for some reason, I'm OCD about having water or drinks in the back and a jacket...why? I don't know...

mikeschmike 02-21-2007 06:22 PM

Somehow this ziploc bag partially filled with green stuff got into my middle console. It must be oregano. Other then that it's pretty normal. A jewel case or two, empty diet coke cans, and loose change.

DrummerDeanna 02-21-2007 06:24 PM

I am a neat freak. I get very weird if my car is dirty or messy - so actually no...

Wait..I do keep a deck of cards in my car at all times. Is that weird though?

I also have an "official" Club that my grandparents gave me when I got my first car. I never use it...don't know why I carry it. Yep..the cards, that's the weirdest thing I have in my car right now.

Wild_Heart03 02-21-2007 06:24 PM

I have a random picture of a dolphin that I won at the county fair last year.

Also, most VW Beetles made between 1998 and 2001 have tiny flower vases by the steering wheel. how's that for weird?

right. oregano. or maybe basil? or ...

hayley 02-21-2007 06:28 PM

See that sexy styrofoam penguin? He normally rides in my back seat, strapped in. I had to take him out to fit stuff in the car for my last road trip. He's been enjoying the time off.

 I LOVE **** like that.

A good friend of mine used to drive around with a cardboard Mel Gibson in her car, (this was years ago before he went completely bat ****) it was grand.

Dizzamn. I remember you talking about that... time, y u gotta move so fast?

camchristo 02-21-2007 09:22 PM

Pretty much nothing weird. I'm a neat freak about my car. So much so that my 4 year old niece told my mom that I drive her craaazy because I'm so fussy about my car. She actually used those words when my mom wouldn't let her eat in my car or put her feet on the glove box!

danax6 02-21-2007 09:24 PM

Well, there has been a computer monitor on my backseat for the past two months now. It's too heavy to carry inside and I keep forgetting to ask someone to carry it in for me. There's wrapping paper behind my driver's seat from when I had to quickly wrap a present before I went to a birthday bash a few weeks ago. There are also shoes under my seat, they've seriously been there for as long as I've had my car, which is close to three years now. They've actually started to mold a little. I keep telling myself to throw them out but then I forget again since they are not exactly in plain sight. There's a little plastic orange shirt hanging from my rearview mirror that has the text 'Hup, Holland, Hup' written on it, 'hup' meaning something like 'go'. It's a little thing I hung there during the World Championship Football last summer. In my glove compartment I have old mail going back three years or so, mostly bills that I took out of my mailbox before heading to work and just never brought up to my apartment anymore. And people wonder why I don't pay my bills on time. ;) That's all I can think of right now. I'm sure if I went downstairs and checked I could come up with a lot more stuff. I haven't even gotten to the trunk yet.

carrie721 02-21-2007 09:26 PM

^omg, the trunk! i didn't even think of the trunk.

i used to have a gecko. the stand for the gecko tank is still in my trunk. i haven't had the damn gecko in a year and a half.

amber 02-21-2007 09:43 PM

My car is invisible, but when they came to get it one midnight, I had my basketball and my razor scooter in the trunk. Seriously, though, I'm bummed about the basketball. My dad got it for me, and it was a good one. You never know when you might need a basketball, a pickup game could arise at any moment...
I didn't get the basketball out, cause they came to get it at midnight.

I think in the front I mostly kept junk and garbage and stuff.

danax6 02-22-2007 10:04 AM

What? Condoms are considered 'weird' to keep in your car?

"The shroud of Sparky" This week on History Channel - What is that shape stained into the towel?

Livia 02-22-2007 05:08 PM

Toy plastic baseball bat - for holding up the hatchback cuz both of those hydraulic thingies are shot.

That's probably the only weird thing. Spare change, CDs, portable CD player, tire pressure gauge, extra sunglasses...

And doesn't everyone have at least 20 strands of Mardi Gras beads hanging from their rear-view mirror? All year 'round? I do!
