I want to go!!!

I keep singing Alberta Bound every time I look at the title. Even though he's not going to Alberta...
Canadaaaa booound, Canada booooound, it's good to beeee Canadaaaa bound. You know he'll be singing that on his way here. |
You know I think I'd have a heart attack if Lindsey suddenly announced a UK date (please God, just one!). Not that he should let that stop him from doing it...

i'm hoping i can go. |
Carrie, that **** is BANANAS.
Where do you live in Canada? I want to go to Toronto and stalk Hawksley Workman cos he lives there, oh and see Lindsey too of course :D |
Quote:
and you're damn right. it's ****ing BANANAS. |
Quote:
God damn! So tempting. Hawksley, Lindsey and Carrie! I must give some thought to it. I made plans to see Lindsey in Chicago last year though and that all fell apart due to crappy circumstances. Hmmm... |

i must stress to you how FANTASTIC his show is. it's unreal. un****ingreal. you need to go!!! |
Does anyone know much info about the Danforth Music Hall like how far to get there walking from the greyhound Bus Terminal on Bay Street. As well has anyone ever been there ?
Also are there any Ledgies planing to do Montreal? From what I understand the Metropolis is standing room only accept for chairs way in the back. And another thing is that you have to buy the tickets througha company called Ticket Pro. My brother had a heck of a time getting Evanescence tickets through them for a Montreal show last year. :) This is soo exciting!!!!! Matt |
I know!! Our office is set to Q107 (yicky). I was so floored today at work when I heard Lindsey's name from the radio announcer, talking a little about him, then hearing him offer free tickets to actually SEE Lindsey Buckingham live at the music hall... HERE... IN TORONTO! Bloody hell, I could have had a chance to win those if I was able to hear the question I had to answer. Dumbass working world.
But, I've definately got to go to this. I am NOT missing out. |
What will be harder to get: A ticket to see Lindsey, or a ticket to a Leafs game?

what do you guys have against Q107. I think they're a great station.
And I think I might be going to Toronto, although I'm still holding out for Buffalo. He's hit every danmed city imagineable, it's not right for him to neglect Buffalo. |

Well I live in Buffalo and I don't think we get 102.9, but we get 107.1 clear as day. It's one of 3 great classic rock stations I listen to. Of the 3 it's probably my least favorite now that I think about it. Just for best music, The Lake 107.7 wins for me, but 96.9 97 ROCK has to win overall just for the cool themes they always have and they don't lie with their slogan of having clasic jocks, it's nice to really feal like you know your DJ's. The best think about Q107 for me is how much Neil Young/CSNY/Buffalo Springfield stuff they play because of Neil being Canadian.

I'm really happy to hear about the Canada dates, I know you guys have waited a long, long time for this. Now bring it over here Lindsey! |

But here's a kick in the pants... Not that I'm not thrilled to know that SOME radio station is promoting this concert, but they aren't playing any of the new solo album. How is that really promoting the tour? Do they really think that by playing old Fleetwood Mac tunes, that the audience is going to want to see Lindsey solo? The announcer sang praises of him, yet, didn't play even a small clip of what an audience at that concert would experience. What a piss off. |

NICKSFAN: you can easily get to the danforth music hall from the bus terminal. it's a not too far cab ride, or a subway ride. everything in toronto is very public transport friendly. |

[QUOTE=Hawkeye;650204]what do you guys have against Q107. I think they're a great station.
QUOTE] Q107 is just like every other radio station out there. They choose specific songs and play the crap out of them over and over again to god's unholy end. Never is there a change or surprise in the mix. Now, I don't mind hearing "The Needle and the Damage Done" everyday. I've missed that song. I don't mind hearing "Break on Through" by the Doors every day, either. I don't mind hearing a few others. But, they don't give you any real variety. Listen for a week, and you'll hear that it's all the same, day in and day out. That's what is wrong with Q107. That is what is wrong with every major radio station, as far as I can hear. *ummmm... end rant* |
